This was our 3rd visit to this special place. Many prior renter's have remarked on all that's offered here that can make a full vacation without ever leaving the property. We particularly enjoy the privacy and the hiking trails. We even had a visit from the owner. We did leave the property once to have lunch at the, close by, Heritage Cafe. The reviews are true! The Wagu beef hamburger was amazing! The deserts are good too. We're grateful to the ranch owner for making this cabin and amenities available to the public.

Very peaceful and secluded cabin. Really enjoyed the trails. Would like to see mowing closer to the pond to make it easier to access. Overall nice property for the family and pet friendly.

I would absolutely recommend this wonderful property for anyone who wants privacy and a peaceful setting. I loved sitting out on the porch, reading a book and enjoying a glass of wine. I even saw my first armadillo ever! Heritage Homestead is nearby if you want a unique shopping experience. The beds are extremely comfortable. The owner was very responsive. When power went out during a heavy rain, he contacted the power company and helped power get restored as soon as it was possible.

This property was amazing! So peaceful and quiet in a beautiful area. Lem was extremely helpful and accommodating. Our kids loved fishing in the pond and down by the river. We will definitely go again!

We absolutely loved our stay! The cabin was in the perfect location for us—tucked away in a private area with no other cabins or guests nearby. There was a lovely little pond for fishing, and a creek ran close by. We even took a walk and saw a group of people on horseback, which was such a cool experience.We were visiting family who lives in Texas and enjoyed grilling out and spending the day together at the cabin. It was the perfect place to relax and visit. The cabin was stocked very well, and the hosts even surprised us with a bottle of wine, which was such a thoughtful touch.On the way to the cabin, you pass through a little village with buildings and shops where you can see some of the Amish community’s work and activities. It was a unique and enjoyable part of the experience.We absolutely loved our stay, and if we return to Waco, we will definitely stay here again!

Wonderful getaway!
