This cabin is the old boy's dorm of the Central Michigan Evangelistic Association Campground. It has been remodeled for families to come and enjoy the large piece of property along the Muskegon River and the White Pine Trail. It has a full kitchen, bathroom, shower, and 3 bedrooms that sleep 6 people comfortably. The bedrooms do have sliding doors that are a bit loud at night. It could use a good paint job but with me allowing dogs it's hard to keep up. This is nowhere near perfect condition, but it is super cute. If you would like to use our kayaks or bikes just let me know prior to your stay so I can make sure they are available to you. I can take you upstream and you can float down to the campground. The price would be $25 each. I have 5 kayaks. Camping is $30 a night with water and electric hookup. There is lots of wildlife mainly turkeys and deer. I am confident you will enjoy your stay when you come. There is also another cabin that is available called Cabin 2. It is on VRBO also. Feel free to contact Gray's Riverside Camp for inquiries.

We enjoyed our stay in Cabin 1. Rode the white pine trail from Rockford to the cabin. Host was very quick to respond to our messages while planning the trip and location was perfect-right off the trail.
Would recommend.
The campground is being updated as it used to be a church camp. Cabin #1 is a cinder block cabin with 3 bedrooms, one shower/toilet/sink room and a common area for relaxing and eating. It was well decorated and comfortable. It has A/C and a couple fans. They thought of everything when they updated this place. The building with the restrooms is also a comfortable place to play games or watch movies. We were able to kayak and enjoy the river easily. We are looking forward to coming back again.

camp cabin
This was a remodeled cabin from a camp that used to be there. It is a concrete block cabin. The inside has been redone so it is pretty comfortable. The area around it outside is pretty rustic. It worked well for our trip we were there two nights. You will need to bring your own food and supplies there are not many places close buy to purchase items.
Had an excellent stay at the cottage. Very much as advertised and super convenient to get around Brig Rapids from. Would recommend to anyone coming in looking not to stay at some chain hotel!!!
This cabin is small but spacious. Plenty of room and amenities. Was snowing and we had no issues with the heat. The washer/dryer unit works very well and it was awesome to take home suitcases of clean laundry. The kitchen is beyond stocked. We took groceries and could cook literally anything. Oven works true and there is even a crockpot and insta pot available. Lots of linens and blankets. Could walk and see the river. Will definitely book again. Looking forward to staying here in warm weather and using picnic table and fire pit.
The property was very nice. Initially, from the outside we were worried due to the cinder block exterior. The inside was beautifully decorated in a farmhouse/beach house style. Everything we needed was at the house. There was a basketball court and Cornhole boards waiting to be used as well plenty of property to go for a walk. The only minor issue was the heat in the bedrooms, but the cold was nice for sleeping in.

Cabin on the right
Was not what the pics showed. No regular heat. Electric heater in back room as heat unit didn’t carry heat that far. If your looking to a place to camp it’s ok. Just wasn’t really impressed with the place. Outside was cluttered around the front door. It was a place to stay wouldn’t say there again
We loved this little cabin, don't let the exterior fool you, it is very well done on the inside. Our family & pups had a great stay, host was very responsive to questions. Cool grounds if you have time to take walks, saw deer in the mornings. Very highly recommend this cabin!
Great place for a small group of friends or family
Great repurpose of a former bunkhouse dorm cabin into a vrbo! Cabin was comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Fast internet, very clean, and in a quiet surrounding. Our stay was during the winter, so there is likely much more to do in the summer months at the property than we did.

A variety of available activities for all ages. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the cabin was. We were out in nature but so close to restaurants and shopping. Angie was a wondeful host! A pleaseure to work with.

Why they chose this property
You will certainly have mixed feelings about this property once you see it. You will either love it and see the potential or shake your head why? I challenge you to take a chance on the unknown and come judge for yourself.
What makes this property unique
This cabin sits on the property of an abandoned church camp that I am currently trying to bring back to life. It is one of Big Rapid's best-kept secrets.
