Very comfortable and clean (and next to Porchetta Shop!). Host was very responsive and the room was great. We frequent Charleston quite a bit and if you don't know the area, it's about a 10min walk from King. So if you don't mind getting your steps in...it's perfect.

Thank you so much for your kind review! We're glad to hear you found the space comfortable and clean — and yes, being next to the Porchetta Shop is definitely a delicious bonus! 😊 It was a pleasure hosting you, and we appreciate you highlighting both the walkability and our quick communication. We’d love to welcome you back anytime you're in Charleston again!
We loved our Van Gogh room and the parking on site was nice. The wine to welcome us was nice. We had our own bathroom but it was across the common hallway. We would stay again. Thanks
Clean, nice room and thoughtful little gifts, snacks, touches that weren't advertised. Our room had private access to a bathroom and balcony, and they were decent. Nice and peaceful 10 min walk to downtown. Great host communications!

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed the clean, comfortable room and the little thoughtful touches we provide—it’s always our goal to make guests feel welcome and cared for. We’re glad you appreciated the private bathroom and balcony, as well as our peaceful location just a short walk from downtown. It’s great to know our communication helped make your stay smooth and enjoyable. We’d love to welcome you back anytime!
We were there for some friends' kids weddings. The location was perfectly close to everything without being always too crowded. Quaint room was so nice; They thought of everything. We'd stay again to get a great room for an affordable place with awesome hospitality.
Very nice space. Nice new updates and special accommodations. Slippers, robes, and a bottle of wine awaited us. Look the balcony overlooking the street.Wonderful Italian Bistro next door. Will be back again.
Did not realize this was a bedroom in a house with a detached bathroom. It worked out fine but we were not really crazy about the detached bathroom. The shower did not work right and water sprayed outside the shower. Patio needs some tender care
The location is on the “edge” of a nicer and scratchy area. VERY noisy (they provide ear plugs).
The bathroom set up was very odd (have to enter the hall, code for the bathroom) and there is a second door to the patio through the bathroom.
They provided 2 plates and wine glasses but you have to wash them in the bathroom sink.
As the other reviewers said it was noisy, street noise from cars & busses but mostly noisy from other renters climbing creaky stairs right outside your door and clomping around above you. Also the bed was the loudest I have ever been in so don't expect a romantic get away. I had never had a place with a bathroom outside the unit & having to put in a code to go in the middle of the night was pretty inconvenient, but for the price these are the kinds of things one should expect, places in the same neighborhood rent for 3 to 4 times as much.

Liked: Cleanliness, communication
Disliked: Check-in, listing accuracy
it’s LOUD
Nicely appointed rooms with character and charm. Karen lives next door and is generally easy to communicate with. However, the house is LOUD inside and out. Inside—stairs always creak, beds creak, you hear every step of those staying in other rooms. Outside….well there’s a GIANT construction project across the street that starts EARLY and a hospital down the road (this is why I suppose we heard helicopters). Location is okay, about a mile from main tourist stuff.
We slept horribly and were exhausted.
Nice homely room in a creaky character building. Quite a walk into downtown but in a fun location. Only slight downside was that the listing failed to mention that our bathroom was across a shared landing.
We enjoyed our stay! It’s a little bit of a walk to the downtown sights, but it’s a very nice walk. One day we rode bikes which is a great way to experience Charleston too!
