Was a nice house however there was some difference in the listing and what was there. 2 queens 2 twins and one futon. Also the trees blocked the view of the lake.
Had such a great family vacation at this home. They had everything we needed and the stay was very comfortable. The only con is that the master bed makes a loud noise when you get into the bed. Overall stay 10/10
Very clean. Easy check in. Enjoyed a getaway with my son between camps at WKU. Restaurants are limited but pretty good pizza from Pages, just a couple miles away.
This was a wonderful place for our group of friends to stay for our trip to Mammoth Cave. The ~40 minute drive to the visitor center was worth it in order to be so close to the lake on the other days of our trip. We enjoyed the nearby beach and rented a boat one day, lots of fun on the water in the summer heat. The house feels bigger in person than in the photos, we were pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. It felt cozy and a great place for us to relax and play games between activities outside of the house. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone looking to stay in the area!
Very responsive owner/manager of the property when we needed assistance. Lovely view of the lake and a well-stocked kitchen for what we needed for cooking meals at home. A few suggestions would be to fix the toilet for the back bedrooms (very loud and flushing was disruptive next to the bedrooms), provide shampoo/soap for the showers, and some comfortable furniture for the patio to enjoy the outdoors a bit more. Overall, it was a nice property and enjoyed our stay.
We stayed 4 nights at this cute house for spring break with our 2 teens. House was very comfortable, peaceful and well maintained. It’s close to lots of activities — visited Bowling Green for the Corvette Museum and Lost River Cave, antiquing in cute towns like Franklin and Hidden Cave and Museum in Horse Cave, and Hiking and fishing in at Barren River Lake. Our son found geodes and the redbuds were in bloom! So much to do! Only downside was we couldn’t get any channels on TV except Amazon prime in the main tv … we watched the N.C.A.A. basketball tournament on my iPad. It would be nice if the host leave instructions for streaming from a phone on the tv, or which app can get regular network channels.
Great lakehouse. Clean neat..loved the layout.. lots of open area for our Christmas day family get together.
Good view..
Ample parking for family visiting for Christmas.
However dealing through Vrbo was a pain!! After they confirmed the reservation and had charged my cc communications dropped off the end of the earth. I was convinced I had been scammed
I would try attempt to follow instructions to contact the owner. Said I would receive a 6 digit code by email. Go to email and get the vode. Go back to the website attempt to enter the code and would immediately get the same msg. Just a big loop that just kept repeating. If the owner sent a note..I could respond. Was convinced my rental was a hoax until a couple of days before checkin. Loved the house and accomodations..hated Vrbo experience. Added unnecessary stress in a already stressful time of the year. We had lost a great grand child a few days earlier. The virbo experience just added to the stress. The lake house was a fantastic relief..
Would certainly consider using this Lakehouse again but this is my one and only for VRBO
Note: had to use Roku for TV service.
We were in town for a long weekend for a softball tournament. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed and was such a peaceful setting. Beth was very responsive and answered all of my questions quickly. I would definitely come back again…next time without a busy weekend of activities!! The screened in porch was my favorite!!
Great place for us 7 to stay during a nearby 3-day family reunion. Very spacious main room and kitchen. Comfortable beds. Only call out would be the loud running noise of the side bathroom toilet, which is likely an easy fix. This house is perched atop a stunning bluff but the tree lined back yard almost hides the lake.
5 Star Experience!! Exceptional host!! Couldn’t have asked for more!!
Our host Beth was by far THE BEST host we’ve had with VRBO. She was so accommodating to our different needs and she went above and beyond for my family!! 5 stars only cause we can’t give her more!!
