Enjoy nearby tracks n trails from your doorstep over the comeragh mountains or in nearby colligan woods (just 2kms away) or surf the waves and have a refreshing sea swim in nearby Clonea beach (8kms away). Located just 20 minutes drive from clonmel and youghal / 40 minutes from Waterford and one hour from cork airport, this pretty cottage in Cúl na Sméar is the perfect tranquil getaway. What a beautiful place to stay. A quaint little Cottage set away from the hustle and bustle. The Cottage was clean, tidy and well resourced. Our host was amazing, her communication was prompt and helpful, and even though it was Christmas Day, she took a break from her own family to bring some timber for our log fire. A stay we really enjoyed, thanks MJ.

Delightful cottage

In a very quiet location in the foothills. Lots of wildlife around. Easy access to local town and great walks from the doorstep. Would definitely return.

Lovely area, small but clean house

Mary is a sweet person and the area is lovely. The shower was difficult to maintain and even temperature and the drain was misplaced causing water to go into the main bathroom. The rooms are very small, beds shoved up against the wall making it difficult to get out without waking your partner.

Thank you for your review, we are delighted you loved this fabulous area of Southern Ireland. Our shower /wet room system is quite different to the States. The entire area of the cottage/ rooms , positioning of furniture etc with ample space are all clearly visible in the photos on the VRBO site prior to booking. This is a beautiful old Irish cottage renovated with care and attention to detail. Everything is as indicated on the site. Thank you again for your review. Kindest Regards …lovely 2 bedroom cottage

Wir waren für zwei Tage in diesem zauberhaften cottage. An sich war es sauber, nur einige Spinnen haben es sich im Badezimmer gemütlich gemacht, auch wenn das sicherlich auf dem Land normal ist.Die Kommunikation mit Mary Jean war sehr einfach und freundlich.Wir kommen gern wieder.

Mary was very helpful with excellent knowledge of the area, also we had a minor illness which she showed concern and was again very helpful and checked regularly to see if we needed anything. The cottage was clean and it had everything we needed but there was a little shortage of storage space for clothes. The area where the cottage is situated is beautiful accessibility is by rather narrow roads (which is quite common in Ireland) but was well worth it for the views, peace and tranquility. The cottage is about 15 minutes car ride away from Dungarvan which has plenty of restaurants, cafes, bars and shops. A bike ride on the Greenway is a must (ebikes can be hired).Thanks so much for allowing us to stay we had a wonderful time Steve & Viv June 26

Super schoon en mooi huisje met vele extra’s

Wij hebben enorm genoten van dit huisje. Het is niet groot, maar heeft alle voorzieningen en is super schoon (wat ik heel fijn vind). Vooral de kleine extra details vond ik leuk, overal was aan gedacht; shampoo, douchecel, maandverband, extra toiletpapier, theezakjes, doosjes ontbijtgranen. Wij voelden ons heel welkom hierdoor.

Mountain retreat
