For three guys there to play golf, the property was OK. Nothing fancy. It should be spelled out that the third bedroom is in the loft and one must climb a ladder to get to it. TV worked fine. Good WiFi. Plenty of hot water. Beds OK. Other amenities OK. Could use some upgrades and repairs.

We have stayed in this community previously and love the area. Overall we just felt this cabin was not cleaned well. I know they have a cleaning person, but there were dirty walls, stained carpet that smelled of animal urine, dirty wood floors, the bed smelled like someone had slept in it and they hadnt washed the sheets. We bought detergent and washed the sheets and pillow cases to continue staying there. It was nice and quiet at night and the nature is great. It was definitely rustic, which we didn't mind, but overall it just didn't feel clean. Our experience did not match the photos or other reviews.
Outside it looked un-cared for. I could not get in when I arrived. I never got an email giving me info or a door code ahead of when I was supposed to get there. The owner was not answering my texts. I ended up having to call VRBO customer support to get the door code. There were no towels. Luckily I had brought one. Then two days later when I wanted to do a load of laundry I found the towels, in the washer, still dirty. So I had to wash the towels before I could use the washer. In the kitchen someone had done all the dishes but had not put them away so they were stacked up on the counter. It was like the cleaning service had started and then left before they finished. I'm not really hard to please so I just dealt with it all but I will not stay here again. I was here with friends who also had a rental house up the road and the difference between theirs and mine was dramatic.

Short get away with spouse
House is great on the outside. Perfect location on quiet mountainside. The inside is in need of repair, and cleaning. Previous guest must have had male dog that urinated everywhere.
This was our first time to stay in Angel Fire. Enjoyed our stay very much. House was perfect for us. Good beds, nicely stocked kitchen and great patio for enjoying hanging out and eating. There were 3 of us and we had plenty of room. It’s an easy drive to the golf course, the lake for fishing, town and the ski resort.
We are from Texas and the temperatures have been over 100 degrees every day so coming to Angel Fire was a nice break from the heat! The property was great! It was very clean and well stocked. We did want to make something needing a mixer and we found the beaters, but not the mixer. We just beat it by hand! Over all, it was a great place to stay!

About the host
Hosted by Edgar Fenstermacher
We are Edgar and Erin Fenstermacher and we love Angel Fire. We have 3 kids and a couple of dogs (Raven and Monroe). We enjoy skiing, hiking, biking, fishing, and hanging out in the mountains with our family. We are so happy to have you at our cabin. We live in Albuquerque, but we are happy to help you out with whatever you need. If you have any concerns please ask! WE love to care for our guests.
Why they chose this property
We love this cabin because we have MANY happy family memories here. We love to watch to deer and elk in our yard, and we enjoy the peace, quiet, and solitude. We enjoy being in the kitchen and looking out at the trees. Our neighbors are also really kind, helpful, and welcoming to guests. We designed our Bocce ball court to entertain the kids in the evenings, and we have watched them make many “forts” with their friends in the yard. We are certain your family will enjoy it just as much!
