Holidays in the historic old distillery at the Alt Schwerin manor near the lake

Only 150 m away from the Tauchowsee is this idyllic location, right next to the manor house, this large, pretty apartment in the historic old distillery with its own 2600 sqm plot. They are the only residents of the large house and have the property all to themselves. The house is located in a restricted traffic area in the museum village of Alt Schwerin.

The old distillery has undergone extensive refurbishment in recent years and has been brought up to modern standards, taking monument protection into account. The 110 sqm apartment can accommodate up to 6 people and 1 toddler.
The rooms are tastefully decorated with antiques and modern furniture.
In addition to the large living room with fireplace, seating area, armchair, satellite TV, hi-fi system and small library, there are three separate, comfortably furnished bedrooms with 2x double bed and 1x single bed, 1 toddler bed and 1x with another satellite TV.
The modern kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, oven and ceramic hob, large fridge-freezer, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, extractor hood, etc. and a spacious dining area for 6 people and a high chair. In the large hall there is another seating area for relaxing and reading. The modern bathroom has a shower, towel dryer, toilet and 2 sinks. The washing machine is also in another toilet.
The covered sun terrace invites you to relax, sunbathe, grill and of course breakfast outdoors. There is enough space in the large garden to enjoy the sun or rest in the shade of the old trees, a fireplace invites you to a campfire. You can pick cherries, apples and pears from your own fruit trees.
Of course, free WiFi is available. Smoking is not permitted in the house.
2 car parking spaces are located on the property. We can provide you with some bicycles.
In 200 m distance you can buy bread and groceries daily, in about 500 m you will find a snack bar. Worth seeing is the nearby Agroneum, an agricultural history museum with events such as steam meetings, tractor parade, farm festival, pumpkin festival etc.
Bathing lakes with crystal clear water are nearby, all kinds of water sports are offered at the lakes. Alt Schwerin is the perfect starting point for excursions in the area or across the country. Bicycle tours in the area with their nature reserves are possible on well-developed bike paths and idyllic forest paths. The nearest town is Malchow, approx. 6 km away and also easily accessible by bike. There are several supermarkets, bakeries, beverage stores, doctors, banks and ATMs, petrol stations, bike and boat rentals, a number of restaurants, snack bars, passenger shipping, fishing shops.
