3 friends and I stayed here for a weekend for a Bachelorette Party. We loved how we had our own space and were close enough to town to go in and do things. The backyard was perfect for s ’mores and just chatting around the fire. Highly recommended and would stay here again.
Interior is great for groups. It’s remodeled and is nice and clean. Close to swimming and the campground has a little store which was nice for its location. Hiking is basically in the back yard which was great for us.
Close to the river, lake, and Helena so a great home base for our family trip. We had a dog, kids 5 and 3 and 3 adults and the house felt spacious. Our host was very responsive and flexible, we were able to last minute add on a day and they made it easy. Highly recommend.
A group of friends went to Helena for a car show. Great property, would have been nice to know part of the road was gravel, but it didn’t dampen our trip
Thanks

Thank you so much for staying with us! We’re glad you enjoyed your stay. Not sure if you saw, the directions and parking directions does state the last 2 miles are a dirt road. Luckily, the state does a nice job keeping this kept up. Best, Kristen
This house was perfect for me and my co workers. The owners were incredibly helpful and responsive. Location was great- in the middle of a beautiful valley. No cell service, which actually worked out great for us because we could just relax! (Good WiFi is available though)
The pictures do not do justice to this lovely house!

Liked: Check-in
Disliked: Cleanliness
Stayed here for destination wedding and some boating.
Good place to stay if you want to be near the lake for boating and fishing. The bbq was not in good shape. The grates were rusty and dirty. Could not get igniter to work. The kitchen had plenty of dishes and pots and pans for cooking. Plenty of room for families or groups to be comfortable. Needed some more cleaning.

Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in
Significant issues but appropriate response
Stayed twice, initially OK but no linens for the pull out bed. Second time was not good-noticeable odor when we walked in, only 3 bath towels for 4 adults, a dishwasher full of dirty dishes, beddings just thrown together. The host did reimburse us the cleaning fee but this visit fell far short of standards I’m accustomed to with VRBO.

We are disappointed you felt the stay was not up to par, given your stay a few weeks earlier was great. We strive to make every stay amazing and relaxing for all of our guests. We will take this feedback to over-communicate where the extra linens are. This was noted in the check in letter, that there were extra linens in the laundry room. The smell, as you mentioned to us, disapated after running water in the sink. This can occur when there is not enough water in the pea trap.
Owners were immediately responsive when we had a coffee maker that wasn’t working. Would have liked central air with as hot as it was, but by night time with the fans and windows open it was fine. Beds were comfortable. Would like to see more kitchen stuff like foil, some spices, etc. Close walk to the lake. Would definitely stay there again!

About the host

After 40 years of corporate business experience and owning a brewery/tavern in Northern Colorado, Kristen and Casey are excited to come back to Casey’s home town of Helena, Montana. (HHS class of ’85!)
"We are so excited to meet our guests and make friends around the community fire pit." Kristen and Casey have had connections and businesses in Northern Colorado since 1995, spending countless weekends watching their 5 kids play soccer and basketball and finally seeing them off to college. Now empty nesters, they moved to Helena to be closer to the community they call family. They are excited to restore this local campground and house to its original glory and will take the next several seasons remodeling and building a new convenient store in the valley.
