Stayed for a month, everything was very good, great location and very nice host. I forgot my keys one time and they immediately drove over to let me back in and were nice about it, so very accommodating.
The apartment was just as stated with VRBO, small, but very clean, in a safe neighborhood with public transportation close by. I will be back next year and certainly hope it will be available. Thank you.

The property was centrally located and very close to transport links. Although is is small it is well equipped, light and there is certainly enough room for two adults. Despite there being no washing machine there is a launderette within two minutes walk. Because it is centrally located it is on a busy main road. It is very clean and the owners are very helpful and accommodating indeed. We thoroughly enjoyed our prolonged stay there.
Flat isn't huge but it's adequate for a holiday break toilet especially is cramped removing the sink would benefit the space greatly as there are other sinks nearby to wash hands in. I would also recommend getting a non slip mat for the bath/shower.Owners were really nice met us upon arrival quite late due to our flight. Had to inform them about the person living above as they really need to get them sorted out. They were playing the same thing loudly over and over again and were stomping about their flat at all hours of the morning which is not normal behavior. They tried to contact them about it when I first told them but got no response and I never heard anything else about it but this person above could really impact on what is a good business rental as they clearly have no respect for others apparently it's a new tenant. I have to be honest and mention this for other users but I sincerely hope the owners get this matter resolved.
The apartment consists of an entryway, a bathroom (sink, large tub with rain shower and hand shower), a little room with a toilet and a small sink, and one large space that serves as kitchen, eating area (small table with two chairs), living area (sofa, coffee table, two straight-backed chairs, small TV stand with small TV) and bedroom (a large nook that can be curtained off containing a bed for two and some closet and hanging space). The sofa and the bed are very comfortable. The lighting on one end of the sofa and both sides of the bed is more than adequate for reading. The kitchen is well-furnished with the basics, mostly matching and all in good condition. There is a small fridge and a 4-burner electric cooktop, but no oven or microwave. The heating in January was perfectly adequate. There is an interesting selection of books in German and in English and lots of information about things to do and see in Berlin. The only thing I wasn't expecting was that the apartment is on the 3rd floor (the 4th floor if you count the ground floor the way Americans do) and there is no elevator. This wasn't a problem for me but could be for someone with a lot of luggage.Charlottenberg is a quiet neighborhood, mostly residential. The Opera is right around the corner, though, and it's just over a mile walk to Charlottenberg Castle and a couple of museums near there. Kantstrasse has a number of Asian restaurants. There is an OK grocery store a block from the apartment.
