The 4 bedroom , 2.5 bath features gorgeous Rock Lake Views from the front and direct Glacier Drumlin Trail access in the back! Located directly across from the boat launch makes it super easy to drop in your kayak (2 are provided!) or put in your boat for a day on the lake! Visit local attractions like Sandy Beach, Aztalan State Park, Lewis Station Winery, Tyranena Brewery, shop the "Norman Rockwell-ish" downtown and catch a Friday night fish fry at one of many local restaurants.

Wonderful summer get away

The location was perfect. Within walking distance of the public beach and the nature trail. Kitchen was well equipped and the beds were comfortable. The town of Lake Mills was delightful. We would definitely return if the opportunity allowed.

Nature Lovers

Great location for outdoor activities with the Glaciel-Drumlin trail right behind the house for biking/walking and the lake and marsh for swimming and water activities. The lake wasn’t too crowded. We saw a lot of wildlife! The quaint town of Lake Mills is nearby and offers some nice restaurants if you don’t want to cook every night. We rode our bikes to pick up a few groceries. Our host was, Stacy, was great and very responsive. The house was very clean with a nice patio. The only negative was the Aztalan Inn Bar which is just outside the town of Lake Mills. It was 7 on Sunday and some of the in-town restaurants were closing at 8. Weird experience! The waitress told us she would “get to us when she gets to us” when we walked in. Then some patrons kept turning up the music on a jute box type machine and replaying the same song while they looked at us and laughed. (We are a polite bunch and had two kids with us) The music was deafening. Literally my ear was starting to ache. After about 20 minutes without any service we just walked out and went to a very friendly and delicious El Mariachi restaurant in town. I’m 64 years old, well traveled and never experienced anything like that - a bit scary, very rude place if you’re an average bear.

Reunion at Lake Mills for 4 grumpy old men

The house is in a great location, across a dead end street from the boat launch and beach, and the bike trail running behind it. The house was nice and.clean, the kitchen well-stocked. We had a great time.

Fun girls getaway

Our yearly girls getaway found us traveling to Lake Mills. We had a wonderful time relaxing and spent some time downtown. The Lewis Winery had good food. The others in our group went to the Pfarmacy and saw some good music. We definitely would stay here again. A must visit place is The Good Stuff Resale next to the Library.

Perfect Family getaway!

We had an incredible time here! Two families of 4 stayed over the 4th of July. An easy drive from the Chicago area. The location of the house is great- it’s across the street from the public beach and under a 10 minute drive into town. The kids LOVED the public beach and playing in both the front and back yard. Amazing trail behind the house! Lake Mills is a perfect weekend getaway for families and would definitely stay here again. The host is full of recommendations and although we couldn’t get it all in, we hope to come back!

Beautiful beach house!

Stayed here with friends and family for our girls softball tournament in Beloit. House is brand new and absolutely gorgeous! Directly across from the beach, stunning sunsets, amazing jog path behind the house and the host couldn't be more kind and helpful! Loved absolutely everything about our stay!

Winter Weekend with Family

We visited family in Lake Mills and loved our stay at Sandy Beach. The property was bright and clean. From our cozy spot we had views of the ice fishermen on Rock Lake. I hope we can return in the summer!

Home matches what is pictured, but feels bigger and sunnier. Kitchen is set up quite nicely. Great communication from host. Brand new and nicely furnished.

Modern & cozy stay by the lake

Nearly new cottage by the lake with a BBQ and good outdoor space. The common areas are great and have everything you need, though the bedrooms are a bit small. Solid place for 5 adults and 2 kids. The beach is a 5 minute walk and Lake Mills is a cute town. The host was very helpful and responsive.

Clean and great location!

This house was the perfect home base for our long weekend in WI! We were two families of 4, and everyone had their own space to sleep. The kitchen had everything we needed to make several of our meals there, and we were able to spread out to eat and hang out, work on a puzzle, play some games, and with easy access to enjoy the outdoors! The trail access right outside the back was lovely- we walked to Korth Park and back, and right up the street there was a park with basketball hoops, etc. The beach across the road would be SO great in the summer, but even on our chilly spring weekend it provided great views and the kids enjoyed spending some time over there playing catch and whatnot. We also found Lake Mills to be a lovely town! The house was clean, and nicely renovated very recently.

Nice vacation home

Pros: Loved our stay at this beautiful home. Access to fishing behind the home and a 5 minute walk to the west bridge was convenient. Big backyard and friendly neighbor next door. Although they were loud and partying we enjoyed the free music in the background. It was memorial weekend so who cares? Friendly host but my review is solely based on the days spent there. Cons: these were the amenities that were described but couldn’t deliver. Also a big factor for me to choose this place. Somewhat disappointed 1) kayaks were available but not enough paddles. There was only 1 so we didn’t get to use them b/c no one wanted to go solo. 2) There wasn’t really a fire pit, more like a dump for used charcoal. 3) Grill was hidden in garage so didn’t get to use that either. Barely any charcoal provided so we didn’t bother checking any further. There were also a lot of dead flies, bugs and spiders laying around the home. Not sure if they cleaned up properly. Also after our stay they found dog food and we didn’t even have any pet with us. I don’t think the cleaning crew does a good job with that place.

What a great stay!

We absolutely loved this beautiful property! Everything was so clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and very well arranged near living space with tv. We loved the walking path, the kayaks and all of the outdoor spaces. It was also very convenient for boating and walking to the beach. We hope to come back soon!

Lake Family Vacation

This is the perfect cottage with ALL of the amenities, fully stocked kitchen, cleaning supplies, garbage bags, coffee, creamer, etc. The host is super responsive and the neighbors are darling. You are DIRECTLY across from the lake. There are three kayaks that my teen boys would take out fishing. If you are a fishing family this is the spot for you. They fished for hours. Quaint downtown. 30 minutes to Madison with wonderful restaurants there. This is a must see and stay!

GREAT PLACE!

This beach house has everything you would need. Kitchen is well supplied with very nice dishes and utensils. Decorated perfectly, plenty of space inside and out. Right across from the lake with beautiful views. Stacy is VERY responsive and has great suggestions to the area, restaurants, shopping, etc.
