Get away from the city and relax at this beautiful home on the shores of lake Koshkonong. This large home has room for the whole family and a wall of glass windows overlooking the lake. Bring your boat or rent one on the lake and relax and enjoy.

Lake Koshkonong is less than two hours north of Chicago O'hare. This home we like to call Olson Bay Getaway, has it all from granite counter tops and a fully stocked kitchen to new comfy beds and amazing views of the lake. The shoreline is sandy and excellent for swimming with a gradual drop off that is perfect for younger kids to play in.

The home features the following bedroom configuration:
1st Floor 1 Queen Bed with Attached Bath
2nd Floor 1 Queen Bed room with water view and attached bath
2nd Floor 1 Queen Bed with Attached Jack and Jill Bathroom
2nd Floor 1 Bunk Room with Futon and two bunk beds also Attached to Jack and Jill Bathroom

The home has a great open concept so you can cook and eat dinner while taking in the lake views.

A gas grill that is attached to the house gas (Never run out of propane) is also provided on the spacious deck so you can cook and eat outside as well. There is an extra refrigerator to help cool all the yummy groceries you will bring during your stay.

Lake Koshkonong is a 10,000 acre lake in Southern Wisconsin with lots to do and see. Apart from the great fishing and boating opportunities, there are several restaurants on the lake that you can boat to or drive to as well as winery tours in the area and great shopping. Kosh also boasts some of the best fishing in the Southern part of the state. The lake also attaches to the rock river so you can boat all the way up to the Indianford dam and view the scenery and amazing houses along this stretch of river.

The home also features a beautiful fire pit by the lakefront and Adirondack chairs to sit around the fire as well as a large yard for games and family activities.

The rental includes a private dock to tie your boat up to during your stay.

This is a beautiful location. Very spacious rooms. This should be an exceptional property and possibly was at one time. But it was not clean and could use some TLC. We did some cleani ng ourselves and were able to enjoy time together

Family Get Together

This house is very spacious and worked well for our family of 10. The views of the lake are wonderful. We had a great time. Unfortunately the dock was under water due to the tremendous amount of rain they have received. Loved seeing the wildlife.

Family Getaway

Very comfortable, plenty of space for a family of 12. The beach and shallow water was great for the kids. Large yard for outdoor activities. Enjoyed the large open living area, when we couldn’t be outside.

Perfect Lake Getaway

The house was perfect for our family and friends getaway. The teens enjoyed the privacy of the upstairs bedrooms. We loved the kitchen with the large island and dining table. The lake was just a few steps away and we enjoyed easy access and the sandy bottom. We will definitely return.

Family get-away...A Perfect Space

This house sleeps twelve easily. Our granddaughter, 15 months, loved the family room space to play and walk and run! Both adult children want to know if we can make this an annual tradition.

Wonderful experience

My group and I really enjoyed our stay at Lake Kosh. The house was very clean and there were actually more beds than we originally thought so everyone in the group was able to have their own bed. The kitchen had everything we needed to enjoy some home cooked meals. Overall we had a wonderful time and would definitely book again.

Our Family Vacation

Overall the property was exactly what we read about when we booked the property. Great location, clean, about 10 minutes to get groceries, etc. One suggestion: The frig in the kitchen several of the drawers to store fruit, veggies, lunch meat, etc did not slide open and close easy. It almost felt if we pushed them to hard, we would break them.

about 10 guys--cooked good meals. Played yard games. Had a few adult beverages by the fire pit, which is right on the water. So that is lovely. House was as advertised. Very nice. Would recommend to others.

Absolutely Perfect & Beautiful

This house is amazing!! Great open space for 9 of us to be together. Perfectly located on the lake with beautiful lake views!! We loved sitting on the deck and by the lake with a fire going. Check-in process was smooth. The home was clean and well-stocked with kitchen equipment. Note the detail in the listing to bring bath and kitchen towels. Communication with property manager was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and will be looking to come back again.

Great Getaway from Chicago

We had a great time at the house for an extended weekend! The inside of the house was very neat and clean! There were some bugs around outside but it's what is to be expected for staying in the country. Beautiful fire pit and back patio for plenty of outdoor seating and relaxing. If I had to suggest any improvements, maybe add a paddle boat or a couple small kayaks for some water activity? Otherwise, we had a great stay, thank you again for everything!!!

Good some small things could've made it better

Overall the stay was nice,with the exception that the driveway wasn't shoveled nor was the deck,the bathroom door didn't lock,the fireplace fan didn't work.otherwise the stay was good.

A few signs of wear, but otherwise a great stay!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location and house are beautiful! The house has a large open living area that was great for our young children. Bedrooms were well furnished and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed for making some large family meals. The big drawbacks were a broken dishwasher, some unclean buggy bathrooms, and many of the in-window blinds being broken, which kind of ruined the view of the lake from the ground level. Otherwise a lovely stay!

Family vacation

This property is beautiful just needs to be cleaned better and maybe some updates. The TV and appliances had finger prints all over and the wood at the bottom of one of the sliding glass doors was falling apart. There was also some stuff stacked behind the house that should not be there. We had to keep telling the little ones to stay away. It appears to be metal parts from an old doc or something. I really cannot say much more besides having the lake right there and the big windows and beautiful view was worth it.

WI Vacation

The house was wonderful...just as described. The view of the lake is outstanding. Maintenance and cleaning leave a little to be desired. When we arrived, there were still used coffee grounds in the Mister Coffee maker. That coffee maker needs to be replaced as it took almost an hour to brew a pot of coffee. Light was out in the oven. Several light bulbs in bathroom need replacing. I appreciated the communication regarding the one step up to the house. This was extremely important for the one handicapped member of our party.

Fourth of July Stay

Staying at Jon’s house was very convenient. My husband and I got married the same weekend we rented. We came back with our friends and family to stay on the lake. The house was big which was nice for all of us. There’s everything you need in the kitchen from pots, pans, silverware, dishes, plastic containers, etc. The bathrooms were very clean. Under the couches and some floor spaces were not cleaned. I had to vacuum a little when we first arrived, I do wish there was a better vacuum for guests to use. The tile floor in the kitchen was also hard to clean. The backyard is HUGE! We got to dock our boat right up to the nice pier. Jon was very easy to communicate with. We appreciated our time here to celebrate our marriage! It was a perfect weekend.

House with Issues

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall we had a good time at the house. The view was beautiful and the features of the common area were very nice, however there were cleanliness issues and equipment issues. There was a used kleenex under one of the beds, bowls in the cupboard were dirty and many of the blinds on the windows did not function properly. The coffee pot needs to be delimed and the rocking chair on the deck was so wobbly we were afraid to sit in it.

Excellent property

Get place to stay! Extremely well stocked kitchen and well maintained! It is managed by a management company which confused me. I was waiting for the check in information from Vrbo but it came from the cabin management company, which confused me. NO towels which also struck me as odd. It was detailed in the email from the management company…which I didn’t read until we were on our way there. I have not stayed at a property without towels- so, did find that odd. Just listing out these few things as a highlight to others. Acknowledging that the information was provided to me…just missed the communication since it didn’t come from Vrbo. The house was truly amazing! We rented a boat for the day and we utilized the dock. We will definitely stay again!!

Great Lake House, room for improvement

This house is a great gathering place for large groups or families. Open living area, ample rooms, well placed bathroom etc. The outdoor space is great for kids, and it was nice having a dock to tie up our rented Pontoon. As mentioned by other reviewers, the cleaning isn’t great. There were several issues we had upon arriving. Jon kindly credited us a small amount for the troubles, but still seems like an opportunity. Also, the house could be equipped with more stuff. They were very clear about what was and wasn’t provided but for the price point it was just a lot of inconvenience. There wasn’t a lot of hand soap, we couldn’t find a fire starter which you’d think is a must have at a lake house with a fire pit, and small things like that. They were clear that towels were not provided, which is annoying for folks that are flying in, but I’ve been to plenty of rentals that post COVID lock downs went back to providing towels. Again, they communicated it but it just seems like a small thing that would improve the experience.
