If you are interested in renting this property, PLEASE send an inquiry regarding this property with your requested dates BEFORE you send a booking request. This is a small 4 bedroom cottage located directly on the beach. Don't let the outside fool you; this cottage has a very nice interior. The cottage is small with approximately 1500 square feet total with an excellent design to maximize the living space. The main living area is on the 2nd floor where there is a living room, a stocked full kitchen with granite counter tops and two bedrooms and a full bath. The master bedroom has a king size bed and the other a queen size bed. All of the mattresses are Beautyrest Black Nappa Plus hybrid pillow top mattresses each with think mattress pads - which are the best mattresses you will ever sleep on. The living room has a queen sleeper sofa. The living room has a sliding glass door that opens onto a large open deck with a large L-shaped outdoor sofa. There is also an outdoor grill located on the deck. The downstairs area has two queen bedrooms and a full bath. There is a laundry area with a washer and dryer downstairs. There is a separate full kitchen downstairs with a small living room area with another queen sleeper sofa. The downstairs living room area has French glass doors that open to a sitting area with two picnic tables located underneath the deck off of the second floor. As stated above, the upstairs and downstairs space has been designed to maximize the available living space for a small beach front rental cottage which subsequently leaves small areas for available closet space. There is room for parking for 4 vehicles; with one space behind the rear deck of the house and 3 parking spaces in the front of the house. Pets are welcome. Please do not allow pets to be on the furniture/ beds for any reason. If pet hair is on furniture/ bedding, you will be charged an additional $150 cleaning fee.
This property only rents for a 7 day minimum in the months of June and July, during holiday weeks, as well as the week of the Ritz Concourse car show and the week of the Shrimp boat festival. You can always inquiry if less days are desired, which may be possible at times due to other existing reserved dates when less than 7 days are available. Please send an "inquiry" only, not a "booking request" on this property to further discuss availability before sending a booking request if you are requesting less than 7 days during the months of June and July, and/or during a holiday week.

Beautiful and tranquil beachside getaway!

We absolutely loved this beach house! Hard to find but we waved down instacart and Uber eats drivers! This place was absolutely perfect for our needs and had beautiful sunrises from our deck while drinking coffee in our pj’s! Walking distance to the Sandbar restaurant which we loved also and minutes by car to everywhere else! We will be back!

We love this place!

This is our second time staying here and we’ll definitely be back! It’s such a great location. Even on a holiday weekend, the place felt quiet and the beach was not crowded. It was a hot weekend, so the under deck area was a great retreat from the for the kids to play. And the upper deck is great for evenings in the summer. It was so nice to see the beach and sunrise from the deck. Great stay!

Great Location .. Basic Maintenance Neglected

Location is Great: right on the beach, at north end of island, close to Ft Clinch and close to town.Living Room furniture is comfortable and attractive. Internet and TV work well.Maintenance Issues: slider to deck is virtually opaque from broken seal, needs to be replaced; grill is unusable, needs to be replaced; heating/cooling units are poorly mounted, transmitting very loud vibrations into master bedroom.Despite these deficiencies, we enjoyed our stay. With a little TLC this property could be awesome.

Beautiful Location

Overall we were happy with our stay. Great location. Could use some decluttering in cabinets and on the front deck around the grill. As mentioned in the description it’s tight quarters in regards to closet space/drawers. No wine glasses or any glass cups. All plastic. This property looks like is up for sale so not sure if that matters to some.

Okay for the Most Part

Be prepared for very close quarters. It’s smaller than we imagined, and we were prepared for small. Updates inside are nice, and yes, the outside needs some TLC. I would have liked the interior to be tad cleaner when we arrived, but basically it was okay. Being on the beach, you can’t beat the location. However, I would opt for larger and newer on the other side of the street next time—especially with small children. This property would be best for two couples or families with older kids. I will say, however, the host was very responsive when we reached out.

Beach stay

The house was actually two separate spaces. Although is able to sleep 12, would be very tight with that many. There is a run-down house in front of this unit, which we thought at first was what we rented. Glad to figure out we were looking at the wrong building. Loved the outdoor porch but not crazy about having to go outside to get from upper and lower parts of the house. Also when we got there we had to fold a load of 3 sets of sheets that had been left in the dryer. That’s what we pay the cleaning fee for right?

Enjoyable vacation location

Overall our stay was good. Location was great. Right on the beach over the dune with a private walk way. Close to restaurants/bars with live music and a convenience store, beach shops and rentals, mini golf and a kids playground all in walking distance. It is also just a short drive do the downtown with lots of shops and restaurants. The property is well prepared for guests and we'll stocked. It is clear the owner wants guests to enjoy their stay. That said, the cleaning service left something to be desired. The floors were not clean at all with crumbs, sand and pet hair so we had to clean thoroughly. Also, the duvet covers on the beds appeared as though they had never been washed. We had to wash all bedding before we were comfortable sleeping in the beds and this literally lightened the color of the duvet covers multiple shades. That said, I think this is on the cleaning service and the property manager should pay close attention to the job they are doing. Once cleaned, the house was great.

Great location, communication, and accommodating. Clear beach view from the deck to enjoy sunrises and the ocean view all day. A direct path through the dune to the beach for easy access (even lighted). Close to Fort Clinch State Park, Historic Fernandina Beach downtown, and an easy drive to anything you need. Much of the deck has been recently replaced, and the gated entryway was wonderful for our dogs to easily enjoy being outside. We all found the beds comfortable with plenty of pillows, a big plus (as the pictures show the beds are tall, so they might be harder for some to get in and out). The individual climate control in each room is great for those who are traveling with people who enjoy different sleeping temperatures. Plenty of towels and laundry supplies available (trash bags as well). The hosts were responsive and accommodating to inquiries and requests prior to booking and throughout. The weather on our check-in day canceled our plans for the day. When we inquired about an early check-in, since the property was ready, they were more than accommodating and saved the first day of our trip from being a total washout!

Location of this house was perfect. We rented both upstairs and downstairs since we needed 6 sleeping areas. We arrived early evening and went to sit on the deck and relax but the couch outside was broken on both ends.At bedtime went to pull out the sleeper couches - one still had on a dirty sheet with food and dirt all over it and the other had a mattress that was nasty. There were no pillows or blankets for the pullout beds. Texted the management company who responded later that night they'd send over a cleaning crew if I wanted, ignored the outside couch issue. Too late for cleaning since we had done it ourselves.The space is very tight (pictures not current) but there is no way that this place could accommodate 12 people - four maximum on each level. The downstairs didn't have a table/chairs and the kitchen was barely equipped. The upstairs kitchen was well equipped and had a table that seated 4. Trying to feed seven of us at one time simply wasn't going to happen at a table and rain made outside not an option. The lock on the upstairs unit fell apart late one morning when we got back to the house and the maintenance company said that was normal and they'd send someone over. No one came so we were unable to lock it.Basic amenities such as shampoo, soap, coffee, etc were missing. Appliances were good; beds were comfortable but most everything else needs replacing. Grill was nasty so we couldn't use that either.

Paradise

The property was easy to find and located as advertised. Being a dune away from the ocean was wonderful. At night you could not only see the ocean, but you could also hear the waves. It was so peaceful and calming out on the deck. The facility was as advertised with clean sheets and towels. There were no bugs noted on the property. Parking was well suited for three cars. All appliances were in good working order. The location, including the proximity to the beach and to the downtown was excellent. Fort Clinch State Park is also a short walk or bike ride away.The beach was not crowded and it was also very clean. I would encourage people to stay at this property for it is really a wonderful experience.

Fine property, strange experience

The property is very comfortable and a great location. When we arrived, we noticed the door was unlocked and upon closer inspection, realized the sliding (and ONLY) door didn’t have a lock at all. We contacted the owner and were told that the handle was broken 2 days prior, and they “did their best” to replace the handle, but acknowledged that they knew the door wouldn’t lock from the outside. I let them know the door also did not lock from the inside, and they literally told me to look for a stick to jam in the door. Wildly unacceptable, and since the upstairs couldn’t be secured, our choices were to only use the downstairs or not leave the property the entire vacation. A very bizarre experience. The home itself, assuming they fixed the door, is lovely, but the unprofessionalism was truly shocking.

Great Home in a Great Location

This house was perfect for us. We came to town to open the Christmas Store Downtown and it was a close proximity which was great. Being Oceanfront to enjoy the ocean breezes from the deck was perfect after the long work days. The space was great. Highly recommend.

Don't judge the book by it's cover! Inside perfect for our needs. Inside pictures were what we experienced. 7 adults 2 dogs 3 cars 1.) Clean 2.) Dogs allowed 3.) Easy access to beach 4.) Grill on deck 5.) Plenty of parking. 6.) AC can keep it very cool. 7.) With 2 kitchens and fridges, no issues cooking. 8.) Under deck nice to sit at tables. Extra - Quite. Traffic noise minimal. Night time noise - none Excellent value for the money. Will rent again.

Perfect getaway!!

Was staying in town for a wedding and didn’t want to get 4 hotel rooms for family. This was perfect!! Right on beach, not expensive, and had all the amenities you would need. Very clean and inside is very up to date. Owners responded very quickly to any questions we had. 2 minute walk to restaurants and bar.
