If you want peace and quiet, this is the place to be! If you don’t like country living then think twice about this location but you might find that you fall in love with solitude in the usual overbusy American lifestyle.
Cute little place, secluded and private with screened porch perfect for relaxing in the evening after an eventful day. Close to dollar general for needs. Comfortable sleeping.isa got back to us within minutes for any questions. Extremely satisfied and would highly recommend
We spent the weekend in this quaint little cottage style house and it was just perfect for our needs. It was secluded and quiet. But only 20 minutes to Wild Adventures! It has an eclectic charm about it. The host was so kind and responsive. Internet service was great too!
The host Lisa was great to communicate with! This place was a great place to relax, and was very convenient for the three weeks I was there to properties in Madison FL, Boston & Pavo GA.

Great place to chill. Very enjoyable. Pond was cool along with the deer strolling though the property at night. Loved our stay, so did our furry friends.
The property inside and out welcomed us which made us feel right at home. In fact we were kind of sad to leave. The host is top notch. The inside was decorated beautifully with all the amenities we needed. Our two pups enjoyed the place too. Loads of smells for them.
God bless us all,
Ken and Joan
We love staying here. It's close to Madison, a small town with very pleasant downtown and some good restaurants, yet far enough away to be in the country. Big open area around the house which is perfect for our dogs, otherwise surrounded by woods. Perfect place to escape for a weekend.
Every corner had a cozy, country, heartfelt sincere, saying, you truly felt like you were in a place, where a farmer and his wife had lived. A great getaway for two or more.
This was a nice space to be in, our golden absolutely loved it. I do wish there were more lights outside for when we wanted to be outside, it gets super dark out there.
I also wish there was a door knob, that way we could close the door a little easier but the screened in porch was nice
Family of 4: our “kids” are 17 and 20. This was plenty of room for our needs. We just needed a place to sleep as we were meeting family in Madison. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable.
Great place for sportsman in the area. Your gear and trailers are pretty secure. This place could handle four adults with no problem. Nice place to sit outside. Plenty of room for pets and children. This is rural Florida. Lots of outdoor activities within an hour. Kayak and cave divers dream location.
If you like peace and quiet, not too far from civilization, and do not expect perfection, this is a wonderful place. Beds were comfortable, nice living area and good WiFi and streaming connections. Fabulous Dollar General right on edge of town with plenty of everything from canned to refrigerated goods, plus all other necessities. Good restaurants in Madison less than 9 miles away. We recommend Grumpy’s Diner and the Bistro on Horry St. Easy trip to Valdosta if want bigger town. Peaceful, quiet area.
If you like the peace of the forest, this little cabin won’t disappoint The front screened porch is the place to be when the birds wake up and start singing. Our puppies were so happy to run around outside, off leash with no danger!
The outside looks rustic but you’ll find a nicely remodeled inside with a fully equipped kitchen.

DO NOT RENT! BEWARE THIS OWNER WILL LIE TO YOU AND THEN BLAME YOU FOR WHAT IS WRONG.
I had trouble with the lock to the home. The owner finally drove to the house and unlocked the door, but then phone texted me to say the power was out and I should stay in a hotel. I was already prepared to do so and had drove to where the hotels were. It was dark by now and I literally can not see to drive in the dark. I also had friends that were willing to drive me back to the house had the owner got it opened.
Since she texted me to stay in a hotel because the power is out, I booked a room for me and my 2 dogs.
I was finally able to get in the house and though it was clean, it's very old. The screened porch did not do it's job since the screen were torn and out of place. It rained all day one day and the dirt/sand road to the house flooded.
The owner has refuses to refund me the night she said the power was out. Plus, will not reimburse me for the hotel cost.
The reason for no refund: "I thought the power was out that night but I did not go in the house..." but her husband called the power company the NEXT DAY and said it was back on.
The fact that she told me the power was out and would be on by morning means the 1st night I paid for is not available and I should be refunded. Whether or not she checked to be sure is was actually out is moot to the point that I should stay somewhere else.
I wish I could put all the VRBO text conversations in this review and you would understand!
As two single women it was disconcerting about a front door with no doorknob and a lock box since someone evidently used a crowbar to gain entry. Previous renter also remarked about this in a review.
Checked in at 4 p.m and had questions about why wifi password didn’t work and no TVs worked. Owner didn’t get back until 10 pm after we’d gone to bed.
Wifi worked with the password written on the side of the modem….not the one the host told me about.
Then ensued a week of excuses back and forth with host about why TVs would’t work such as:
Maybe a hurricane
Maybe lightning
Maybe TV broken
Maybe no batteries in remotes
Maybe previous renters stole the remote or the batteries from the remotes
Host finally insinuated we weren’t competent to operate TVs and invited us to leave
until Friday night (2 nights before we left) when they got the handyman to come over with a universal remote. No problem with TV then! He also brought another universal remote for bedroom TV but we never used it so we don’t know if it works.
Fake fireplace popped a breaker after 10 seconds so we were unable to use on cold nights and sparks came out of the socket by the back door when we plugged in either toaster or coffeemaker.
Wall HVAC unit sounds like a Boeing 747 when you turn it on.
Be aware that 2nd bedroom with king bed is actually the dining room with a bed in it. No door for privacy.
Note that there is a washing machine but no dryer or dishwasher.
Place is quiet but is very dated, has a musty smell and is in need of repairs. if you need host support they live 5 hours away and gave me the impression that as a renter I was too stupid to solve my problems with their VRBO.
I really can’t recommend the place even though they gave me a $50 rebate for the “snapfoo” on the TV. Too much time spent solving their problems.
Too bad as we come to this area often and friends were waiting to see how we liked it.
We had a pleasant stay and were especially thankful for the air conditioning, comfortable bed, and great shower. The pet-friendly policy was a huge plus for us!
Loved this home and would love to return. Super cozy and clean. The bed is so comfortable and the kitchen has everything we needed. It's quite remote which is part of its beauty. We have never seen so many stars in the night sky.
