About this property

Incredible fenced in dog friendly cottage in downtown Brevard with hot tub!

This dreamy downtown Cottage is perfect with its location downtown yet secluded vibe! It is on a beautiful lot with abundant privacy landscaping and a large front yard that's fenced-in for pets! Located in the Lumber Arts District of Brevard, it is perfectly situated for easy walking access to all Brevard has to offer. Highlights include a twin size swinging bed on the porch, an outdoor fire pit, an awesome indoor wood-stove, and a private hot tub!

The Cottage was fully remodeled in 2009 and is both comfortable and functional. Enjoy coffee on the porch while listening to the local birds and spotting White Squirrels! And there is a private hot tub! (Please note If you wish to use the hot tub there is a $25 maintenance fee per reservation. Just contact Gareth if you wish to use the tub)

The cottage is at the back of the property. The front bungalow is our other vacation rental. These charming historic homes were lovingly restored and updated in 2009 by Parker Platt, a leading local architect. The cottage features a vaulted ceiling open floor plan great room, and maple floors. The bathroom features a glass door tile shower with 2 heads. There is a washing machine/dryer for your use. A highlight is also a new fully fenced in yard for pets. FINE HOMEBUILDING magazine featured the restoration of these homes in a 2012 edition. Here you will find all the comforts of home including a smart TV, and fully equipped kitchen. Our 1910 Craftsman Cottage has one main bedroom with a deluxe king bed made from organic cashmere and a very comfy couch in the living room plus a fold out floor mattress that can be used in the vaulted ceiling great room. There is one full-size bathroom, a fully equipped gourmet kitchen, great room, large front porch with bar table for work/eating and even a twin bed porch swing for reading, napping, or even a place to spend the night on mild evenings!

HOT TUB: open for guest use ONLY Oct 1-May 31.

The front yard is fully fenced in and we do allow dogs to come on your vacation but we ask you please let us know as there will be a pet fee of $25/night for up to 2 pets and $15/night for each additional after. Please notify Gareth that you are bringing your furry friend and arrange to pay the pet fee.

If your dog enjoys getting on the furniture, please bring their favorite blanket or sheet to cover. And of course PLEASE pick up after your pet.

No smoking inside or on the porch, please use the picnic tables in the yard,

As advertised, this place is dog friendly. The fenced in yard provided plenty of space for our dog to stretch her legs; the hosts provide bags to clean up after your pet, a blanket for the furniture, etc. It is also beautifully maintained and comfortable for humans! Situated at the back of a long driveway it allows you to be in town but still have privacy and quiet.

I am Gareth and I own the Session Chalet. I am a long-time Brevard local. I am a professional whitewater kayaker, avid mountain biker, skier, and fly fisherman. I have 2 other homes in Brevard that I rent. My goal is to make these houses truly unique and to provide my guests with a very special experience while visiting my favorite place on earth.
