Continental Motel - studio with kitchenette close to beach

Corner studio apartment on second floor with a king bed and comfortable chair, laminate floor, cable TV and Wi-Fi. Sleeps 2. Full kitchen includes refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. This condo has great views of the beach and the ocean, just across the street. The pier is less than a block away. The Continental Condominiums offer cozy individually owned condos that are managed as vacation rentals available for short term as well as off season monthly stays. Located on Sunset Beach and just across the street from the beach and only a block from the fishing pier. Spend the day on the areas finest strand. When you are done at the beach you can enjoy the outdoor pool for a lap or two (mid-April through late September weather permitting). You will find a local market across the street and other shops for those vacation gifts. There is a shared laundry facility and grills on the premises. Non-smoking. 1 Dog Only. $100.00 Non-refundable Pet Fee.
Parking is limited. 1 parking pass is permitted per unit. No exceptions!
Golf carts and boat trailers are not permitted at the Continental Motel.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Room was just what we needed. Not too fancy, just the basics. The location was what it has going for it. A 2 minute walk to the beach was amazing. Great spot across the street to get breakfast. Overall not bad. Like going back in time to the older motels. We enjoyed our stay.

The unit was okay for an overnight stay or short trip. The fridge wasn’t clean. The bedspread definitely needs a really good wash. The sheets and towels seemed to be clean. It’s still a Motel so it has thin walls, and the location of the place is in a busy area, making it a bit noisy! Sunset Beach is a great place to stay if you don’t want to be in the hustle and bustle of NMB while still being 20 minutes away. Overall, the place is good if you’re in a pinch for a place to stay or on a budget.

Extremely easy check-in process and consistent communication all the way. Everyone in the office across the street where you get your parking pass was super friendly and helpful. Customer service was excellent! Room was clean, but not sparkling. Found a small hair in the bathroom sink but it wasn’t a dealbreaker. Bed was super comfy and the a/c was ice cold! I was in Room 214 and could see the ocean from one of my windows and the porch area. Loved that I could open the windows for a nice breeze in the evening. I took this room for its close location to the beach and it didn’t disappoint. It was my first time in Sunset Beach and I’ll definitely be back - hopefully I’ll get the same room!

Loved location, love sunset beach, process was very easy to book. Cleanliness of room could have been a little better. Towels and linens were not provided or were forgotten by cleaners had to purchase my own to shower. Shower head a little low had to squat to shower. Pillows need replacing as they were very stained. I would book again and bring own towels and pillows or hopefully they would be upgraded next time.
