It’s a very nice home. The inside was very clean and bedding was great. The kitchen does have the bare minimum. So if you plan on doing any real cooking, or having a glass of wine you’ll need to get a few things. The train runs behind the house a lot, but isn’t too noisy inside. We did enjoy our stay.
It was very nice home. Plenty of space. Really nice property. Only drawback was the train tracks. Luckily no horns and surprisingly we slept through it.
This house is in a great location! Beautiful area with a pool and hot tub! Enough queen beds for all adults to sleep in which is hard to find when looking for a place to stay. It was well stocked with your basic needs. The bedding was high quality and very comfy. The trains run a lot but it wasn’t an issue for us.
We had a great time and this place was perfect!! Thanks so much for having us!

Experience fell a bit short
The beds, linens, pillows were wonderful and the house is lovely. The fire ants and broken hottub ruined our short stay. I would go again if those things were addressed before check in.
The house was great. Very nice. The only problem was the pool and hotub were dirty. There was trash left in the garage and it is located near a railroad track. Other than that the house was super nice. The master bedroom and shower were great. The kitchen and living room all flowed well. It is kinda in the country so every morning we would wake up and drink coffee on the back porch and watch a few deer graze.
We had an amazing stay in this beautiful home. The house was very clean, modern, and had everything that we needed! Host is very responsive which made our experience even better. Pool and outdoor space was fantastic, perfect little spot to have some relaxing drinks and conversations with friends. Highly recommend this place if staying in Brenham or the surrounding area.

Hi Lisa - Thanks for the great review! We hope to see you back very soon and are so happy you enjoyed your stay!
The house was beautiful and clean and worked perfectly for our girls get away weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool and brought a net to play pickleball in the driveway (we didn't formally measure the space but it was sure fun). The host was very responsive to all inquiries and the location was very convenient. The train runs directly behind the pool and thick brush so you do hear it (no horns) but it didn't bother us. We would definitely stay again.

* could not get hold of the name and number given to call!! :(
Do not post my negative, just for you to know!!
My friend and I brought our kids to Brenham for some summer fun. We really enjoyed the pool and the house was very clean. There were a few things I’d recommend the property managers work on. The upstairs bedroom, a converted attic, was extremely hot. We set the AC to 70 and turned on the fan in the room, but it was still hot upstairs, so lots of whining from kids. There were also some string lights by the pool and on the back porch that had partially fallen. They were blocking part of the pool area. We also couldn’t work the tv’s in the bedrooms. One last thing is that the house would be a lot more comfortable if there were things like extra blankets/pillows and some kids dinnerware. This property has a lot of potential to be a great stay!

Hi Megan - Thanks so much for your feedback, we have taken all things into consideration, the string lights fell but those are back up and in working order, the upstairs loft has gotten a little warm this summer with the 100+ temps, we included two fans for this reason until we can get it fixed, HVAC is on the schedule. As far as the bedroom TVs, they have always worked fine with no complaints so not sure the issue, unless internet was glitching on you during your stay. We appreciate you choosing Strangemeir ranch and hope to see you again soon!
My adult children and I were in town for a family wedding. Upon arrival, the grass was not mowed but the home appeared to be clean at first view. When getting ready to cook dinner, we discovered the propane tank had been left on and was completely empty. We did find a full bottle in the garage which was good. The inside of the grill was absolutely filthy and there was no wire brush to clean it. We burned off what we could and then put foil on the grill to cook our food on. Coffee grounds were left in the coffee pot. Large fire ant mounds were on the rock path to the swimming pool. There was a large wasp nest above the hot tub that was active and the hot tub was dirty. The kitchen has the bare minimum in regards to cookware. I reported these things to the property manager and without telling me, he sent the cleaning crew to the home. The next thing I know, there is a strange person coming in the patio door of the home without knocking or announcing themselves to clean the items. After returning Saturday evening from the wedding we attended, my son and his wife sat down on the edge of the bed and the entire bed collapsed. The slats and bed frame broke in two. My son and his wife had to sleep on the couch in the living room. The listing also does not mention that there is an active train track within 10 feet of the pool in the backyard. I have never left a negative review, but for the amount of money I paid, none of these things should have happened. Very disappointed.

Great house, but a few things...
The house description was not accurate on the website - detailed 2 beds in 3 of the rooms but there was only 1. This caused an issue because we had some people that were more comfortable sleeping alone. I messaged about this prior to the trip and was told I could get my money back, but it would have taken too long to be able to book another place.
There were several things that were concerning and inconvenient:
- the washing machine did not turn on
- the tvs in the two smaller bedrooms did not work. The message said weak signal. I contacted the office about this and was told they had the best internet service that it may take a few minutes, but it did not work all weekend. One remote did not work at all, even after we changed the batteries.
- the AC control was difficult to manage - a little tutorial or instruction guide would help
- tub in the master had construction dirt all around it
- the refrigerator/freezer was set too high and did not keep things frozen, like ice cream
- we could not turn on the ceiling fan light or fan
- we had to buy a colander and serving spoons for meals
- no broom or mop
- one less than full roll of paper towels
- bath towels were left to use in the kitchen...? and a lack of kitchen towels and dish rags
- "fully stocked kitchen" - no it was not stocked well at all other than trash bags and flavored coffee pods
- only one trash can in the garage
So, we enjoyed our weekend, but it was a hassle in several ways.

Hi Laura - I would like to offer our apologies for the inconvenience of the bed situation, you did reach out several weeks prior to your arrival and we offered a full refund to you due to the inaccurate description, which was reported to VRBO immediately and revised. I hate to hear that your stay was not pleasant, we do take customer service very seriously and never like an unsatisfied guest. I do believe your review to be mostly inaccurate though. The washing machine and Tv's were all in working order before your arrival and when inspected after your stay? The Tvs are smart Tv's and when the internet service is disrupted, that does happen during bad weather from time to time, it is something that is completely out of our control, the internet service is the highest speed available in our area and was working properly before/after your check in/out as well. The AC control is a touch screen, again we have never had a complaint and tends to typically be very easy to use. We do have a hospitality App that we send to you prior to your check in, along with a in house guidebook for our guests to use with helpful details on the surrounding area and house details, that was left on the bar for you upon arrival. The refrigerator/freezer settings are inside the door of the unit, when you called us about this we explained where to find it to be able to control to your desired temp, you also could not find towels in the second bathroom, they were in the linen closet with extra towels also in the laundry room on top of the washing machine. The broom and dustpan are kept in the hall closet at all times for guest use, and all of our homes have fully stocked kitchen with the essentials, we do supply the basics. The towels that you stated were bathroom towels, are actually larger kitchen hand towels, there are 2 extra in the drawer along with dish rags next to the stove. The extra paper towels (one full roll) and trash bags are located under the kitchen sink. The description of the home is accurate. I would recommend we do a walk through with you on any future properties you may book with us, we do offer this as a courtesy, it offers a more in-depth example of how all the home appliances etc. work.
Cari communicated great with me and was great with response time. She was very accommodating. The house was lovely and clean. The house was as listed but if trains aren’t your thing, please know that it is very close by. It didn’t bother any of us at all and my husband and I are pretty light sleepers and the train never woke us, we were just surprised at how close it was! The location was perfect for what we wanted to accomplish!
Thank you!
Super cute house! Everything a family with multiple adults and teen age kids needed for a comfortable stay. In town for family wedding and the house was the perfect location for all our needs. Plenty of space to spread out and have privacy. The back porch and pool area was another nice bonus space. House had everything we needed for daily and nightly needs. Highly recommend this house for anyone visiting area! Would love to come back!
