Great stay!

We were 13 friends together and we had so much fun. The villa was great, clean and very well situated. The staff, especially Maricela, was amazing and helpful. We would stay again without hesitation at the villa.

Amazing!

We loved staying at this house! We had 4 couples and one single (11 adults) and we had the best time here!! The house and property are unreal!! The ocean and the pool felt amazing. The only con was that the “Queen beds” were actually Full beds and were really tiny for two people. Other than that it was incredible!

Winter Paradise on the Beach

This was our first trip to Cancun and I couldn't picture a more beautiful property. Our concierge was available 24 x 7 to meet all of our needs. The housekeeping staff kept everything inside beautiful. The owners provided everything we needed, including filtered water. The airport transports are easy and worth the price because they gave us peace of mind. Our stay was in mid-December. The sand was the softest that I've ever walked on. The water was warm and swimmable. We enjoyed using the kayaks on site. We also walked 2 minutes up the beach and rented jet skies for $100/hr and had a massage for $60/hr. We stopped at Costco to buy steaks, jamon, bottled water, wine, fruits, veggies and treats. We probably could have just walked to the grocery store or visited Mercado 123. The house next door, had 24 hour security patrolling the beach, so felt really safe. * We travelled with 3 adult couples and 2 adult singles Ask about the yacht, we missed out, but next time we will try to take a tour.

Villa needs updating & housekeepers lazy

The recommended chef Lilia was the best part of the stay but we paid extra for that. She is simply amazing! The villa itself was beautiful when it was built but at this time it needs some updating and cleaning. There were issues with water pressure and temperature, in some bathrooms our guests could not take showers because the water stank like sewer. The jacuzzi tub in the master doesn’t work. The floors of the Villa are filthy. The kitchen is outdated. The front steps never get swept. The manager was very slow to respond. The listing has a butler listed but there was a lazy house keeper who mostly stayed on the phone or start cleaning late into the day. We had to ask for pool water to circulate all the time and for the pool to be washed. We had to ask for pool towels to be washed, for extra bath towels and even toilet paper because it wasn’t being restocked. We had to remind the housekeeper to keep the doors locked but the security guards did have presence on the beach at night. The view from the master snd ocean from bedrooms is amazing but the beach is not peaceful as boat would dock right in front and play loud music. We didn’t thousands for our 8 night stay but the vacation was not luxury at all. I feel we deserve partial refund.

This review is for the management company, not the property itself. The property was LOVELY and I hope the owner reads this and considers finding a new team. We were awakened at 2 am by a drunken staff member, Rodolfo, inside the home losing his mind and trying to drive his motorcycle through the wall. For over three hours he was screaming profanities, banging on walls & one would respond to us. Police couldn’t find us, gated security wouldn’t help & the Solmar team didn’t respond until the morning. Rodolfo was out of control and we stayed awake all night with knives protecting our children’s bedrooms sending calls and texts begging for help. In the morning we asked for a refund and were offered a masseuse and told there was never danger. Later that day there were other stranger smoking, hanging out in the home (we saw them with our eyes) and we were told it wasn’t true. The morning after the incident we asked for one night compensation - which was eventually agreed upon after VRBO was called. After the Solmar team’s response grew more ridiculous and dismissive and we wasted more time on our vacation, we asked for three nights compensation. They agreed to one and continued to dismiss the threat that night presented.There was no help. There was danger - despite what Solmar says. Blanca told us Rodolfo was drinking and out of his mind. The security guard from next door begged us to go inside and lock the doors. But he lived there. It was never about the money
