Welcome to Sugar Beach PH8, Sparkling ocean views! This 1 bedroom/1 bath is perfectly located in North Kihei right on the beach! This Penthouse condo offers an open and airy feel. Take in a breathtaking Maui sunset right from your private lanai. With seating for four, dine Al-Fresco or sip your morning coffee to the soothing sound of the waves. The floor to ceiling sliding glass doors make for seamless indoor/outdoor living.

The living area is quite inviting! Tastefully decorated bringing a touch of the ocean in. Settle in and relax after a day of exploring the island. Complete with sofa, flat-screen TV, ceiling fan, and central AC throughout. The kitchen is nicely equipped with everything the home chef will need, including plate ware, utensils, and cooking items. There is a quaint dining area with seating for four.

The cozy primary bedroom offers the perfect night's rest with a Cal king bed and ceiling fan. The ensuite bath offers a shower and vanity area. Washer/Dryer allows for lighter packing.

Sugar Beach Resort is a great location! Find shopping and golf nearby, then come home and relax at the beachfront swimming pool, wading pool, sundeck, putting green, sauna, and hot tub. Sugar Beach Resort offers a barbeque area with tables for your enjoyment. There is also an activities center and Dina's Deli Shop and bar.

Centrally located, Sugar Beach Resort rests on Maalaea Bay, on the state's longest stretch of uninterrupted shore. Sugar Beach, named for its fine white sand, is a six-mile long beach excellent for swimming, snorkeling, windsurfing, kayaking, canoe paddling, or for just relaxing. Gaze at the spectacular sunsets, watch for whales (in season), or swim with green sea turtles—the opportunities are limitless. World-class golf, five-star restaurants, exclusive island shops, and the famous Kihei Farmers Market are minutes away.

Delightful stay

Sugar Beach Resort is a nice property and great location for easy access to Maui attractions and beaches. Unit is clean and functional but somewhat dated.

I would give a 5 except for the uncomfortable seating in the unit. It needs to be updated. I also found two cockroaches and that creeped me out. It was the ones I could not see that bothered me.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We did a ton of research on where to stay in Maui and this place was the closest to having everything we wanted. Top floor unit with a balcony in view of the ocean and mountains, AC throughout the unit (which is difficult to find!), tv we could watch while having a view of outside, kitchen and laundry, super quiet resort with chairs on the grass or beach chairs for the beach, uncrowded beach for sunrise walks... the only issue was that the week we chose happened to coincide with the week the resort was doing pool maintenance so we never got to use the pool or hot tub and we weren't warned in advance or given a discount, so that was a bummer. But overall the rate was still a good value and we loved our stay. I would highly recommend staying here.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I will not stay here again and do not recommend it. The management company was great. They offered a discount for the pool closing and noise from tile saws and other equipment that drowned out the ocean for 5 days. I am grateful for that. But, to be clear, that is not the source of my review. The unit was old and grimey. I felt like I was staying in my grandmother's home who had died 5 years ago. It was dated and the bathroom sink/counters looked rust stained, counters in kitchen and bath were yellowed and stickey with grime like old cooking grease. Everything was old, old, old except for a few new throw pillows and other accents and cosmetic updates. The sheets were stained with blood and lipstick. It was a pig with lipstick, as they say in the real estate business. Don't stay here. I wish the other reviewer would have posted before I rented it. Sugar beach is great. I love the location and the property manager was very professional and responsive. The a/c worked, the internet worked and the cable tv worked. Those are the highlights. Sorry, but no one should put a property like this on the market for rent for the price they are asking.

Reviewer Comments: We live full time on the Gulf Of Mexico in Florida and our goal was to Vacation on Maui on a beach with water and Sunset views with easy beach access close to everything and this accommodation did not disappoint us. We enjoyed soothing Ocean breezes, relaxing Ocean views , and gorgeous evening Winter sunsets from our private balcony. The beach was easily accessible for my wife who walks with a cane. The pool and hot-tub were very refreshing. We were able to catch a whale jumping just off the beach watching a sunset one evening. The condo had all the amenities we needed in excellent condition. The location was excellent smack tab in the middle of the Southern , Western, and Northern sections of Maui close to everything any one would want to do. We certainly are recommending this condo to all our friends and relatives and hope to return one day.
