Fouth of the July stay!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: As always Frio River rentals is the best to book with! My family and I have been booking going on 7 years. This house was so beautiful. It's nice and my family agreed that the rooms on the outside were nice to have us separate because its a mixture of us. The old timers enjoyed being in the main house and the youngsters enjoying their time outside. It wasn't a big deal and management reached out the entire 45 minutes while the power went out. Also a couple outlets went out in the home but again management had a gentlemen come out and fix the issue right away. He also noticed out outside trash bin piling up and he had the garbage company come out within that hour. I enjoyed waking up every morning for a nice run in the gated community. River access wasn't a bad drive either it was quick. Perfect home with plenty of space. Will be rebooking with Frio River for next year!
Response from VrboOwner on 22 Jul 2026
Seven years of making Frio River memories with us—what an honor! Thank you for continuing to choose Frio River Vacation Rentals for your family's annual getaway. It was great to read how well this home's unique layout worked for your group. Having separate guest rooms gave everyone the opportunity to relax in their own way while still enjoying time together. That's exactly what family vacations are all about. We also appreciate your patience during the temporary power outage. While those situations are never ideal, we're glad our team was able to stay connected with you, quickly address the electrical issue, and even get the overflowing trash taken care of before it became a bigger inconvenience. Your morning runs through the gated community and easy access to the river sound like the perfect way to enjoy everything the Frio area has to offer. Thank you again for your thoughtful review and for recognizing our team's commitment to taking care of our guests. We look forward to helping your family create even more memories when we see you next year!

Frio River Vacation Rentals

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I've stayed at Frio Country Rentals off and on for around 15 years. This time around a group of us came down and couldn't enjoy our stay or the round of golf because everyone had Tejano music blaring as loud as they could play it. If that what it's turned into, I won't be going back.
Response from VrboOwner on 31 May 2025
Thank you for being a loyal customer over the past 15 years, we appreciate your continued support. I'm very sorry to that your stay was disrupted by loud music; that is not the experience we want for any of our guests. We will look into how we can better manage the noise levels so that everyone can enjoy their time here peacefully. Your feedback is important to us, and I hope you will consider giving us another chance in the future.

Family Vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was perfect. The property management Mr. Miss Mrs. Meadows were amazing very informative, nice and helpful. We would rent from them again. The house was perfect. We had a great time. The only thing I would suggest is the cleaning crew do a little better job sweeping the rooms and cleaning the toilets, but it was nothing major other than that. We had a perfect time and will be returning customers.

Wonderful stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was perfect for our family vacation. So thankful that each bathroom has showers rather than bathtubs although one bathroom was equipped with a tub allowing us to give a bath to our little ones! the set-up of the house was perfect and the pool was beautiful. We loved that the pool was gated keeping our children safe! They very much enjoyed the playground area and their parents enjoyed the outdoor bar area! The only drawback is the location which is a distance from the river activities and it takes quite some time to drive that far into the golf club housing community which took even longer this year with the addition of the speed bumps!

Multi family reunion 2022

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Fabulous ! Post COVID our extended family has had many changes even a few new additions. It was so important for us all to reconnect and unplug together. Rock Creek was the perfect place to do so. The house offered gathering spaces to accommodate our four families and offered separate private guest rooms each with our own bath. This was so convenient when little ones needed to rest while adults stayed up late to visit. We enjoyed movie nights poolside, and never had to worry about disturbing others because of pool guest bath accessible from outside. The staff was very attentive and quickly responded when ever we had a question or concern. Highly recommend for perfect getaway together.

Eclipse Watch

Our three generation family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had ample room for 17 family members with private sleeping/bathroom areas for all. The pool and outdoor patio were marvelous. The parents, grandparents could relax and mingle while watching the young people at play. The pool had a shallow area for the toddler and the the four boys, all 6 years old, almost lived in the pool area for the five days. We initially were given the wrong keys on check in which caused some delay, we would have liked a grill to barbeque on the patio (there was a smoker) and we would have gladly paid an upcharge to have the rented bedding put on the beds as they were difficult to make and some of our family did not get in until late. Other than those minor issues we found this VRBO lovely and perfect for our family! We did take advantage of visiting the Frio Bat Caves which was amazing and we spent an afternoon at the Frio River which was very enjoyable. Thank you for a great VRBO stay from Wisconsin, Montana, Minnesota and Colorado!!

Wonderful house for a large family

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was perfect for our large family which makes it very difficult to leave a less than perfect review. One of the main reasons we rented this particular home over others was that it had a hot tub. Unfortunately the hot tub didn't work the entire week we were there (except for a short time one evening). Needless to say we all were quite disappointed! My son-in-law spent quite a bit of time on the phone trying to get the problem fixed, but wasn't successful. Other than that, we had a wonderful time! I would still recommend this property as long as the renters aren't really wanting a hot tub.

Thank you for the review, and I'm glad you loved the house. Having just recently been completed in 2022, Rock Creek is one of the newest and finest homes in the Concan Country Club. Unfortunately, even new equipment sometimes fails, and in this case, a flue sensor went out on the heater for the hot tub. It was replaced under warranty as soon as a new sensor became available, and I assure you that the hot tube is available and working well should you choose to stay with us again. Thank You for your stay, Frio River Vacation Rentals
