We enjoyed our stay and found the “Pad” nicely decorated. We would rent again, however it was already booked for when we were visiting the area next year.
This place is adorable!! Just what we needed for a little getaway!! Rene, the host, was quick to respond to an issue we had getting in. Even had a first aid kit we had to use. Highly recommend! Pictures are exactly what this cute cottage is!!!

Im so glad you enjoyed The Lily Pad Cottage ❤️. Please keep me in mind next time you come to town, Renee
Driving in the neighborhood isn’t really nice but I would stay here again. Cute place with nice touches for comfort during your stay. Very peaceful setting with a big yard but don’t expect waterfront

Okeechobee is eclectic for sure! You won't find gated communities and HOA's here for the most part. The cottage is waterfront but shallow. We are hoping the county will dredge the canal so it becomes deeper and able for more than canoe's/kayaks/airboats to pass in this area.
Cool and funky place. Everything I needed for my weekend at the 12 Hours of Sebring race event as it’s tough to find accommodations that are close to the track. It’s a lovely quiet spot with all the amenities I needed. Renee is a pleasure to work with. I would recommend it to anyone who only needs space for a couple or maybe a solo traveller. A much better option I feel compared to one of the very average cookie cutter hotels and there’s only a few in this area.

Musty smell
Terribly disappointed. Biggest problem was the air quality inside house. It had a strong musty mildew smell. It was so strong, it made difficult to breathe. The smell saturated our clothing and luggage. We had to sit outside to breathe fresh air. It spoiled our time there.

Guest said there was a musty smell in the cottage, however, I believe the lake and canal levels being so low caused the odor..Okeechobee is praying for rain! It's been a long, dry Spring. I did not find a musty smell inside the cottage at all.
