Excellent location for work from home as well with full speed internet available and comfortable surroundings. Think of it as your second home.

JTNP visit

We had a wonderful stay. The property is clean and well appointed. Great location near Joshua Tree NP. Be sure and star gaze from the hot tub 5 stars. Will return and stay here again.

I enjoyed my stay at the Desert Refuge; the property was clean, quiet, and literally less than 5 minutes from Joshua Tree. I would definitely stay here again!

Cancelled last minute at 4AM day of check in

There was supposedly water damage at the property and my reservation was cancelled last minute, leaving me to have to find another place to book. Would not recommend this place unless you want your plans to change last minute

Joshua Tree National Park

Property was located perfect for access to Joshua Tree. House was in great condition and host were quick to respond to any questions we had. Highly recommend this property if you are in the area for any reason.

Enjoyed our stay in this comfortable home

Very nice and comfortable house and garden! Very quiet area. Lots of pots and pans in the kitchen, along with enough plates, silverware, glasses etc. for 4 people. The host will send you check-in instructions on the day of your arrival. We enjoyed our stay and also enjoyed exploring Joshua Tree National Park.

Nice location for Josha Tree NP visits and clean house but it was infested with small stinging ants that had a taste for humans. Also, when we arrived, temperature in the house was 94 degrees. Took almost 3 hours to cool down to 70s. Not a great welcome.

Spacious house, great location, misleading listing

Check in process was smooth, and communication with host was quick and easy. When booking, I went by amenities and booked specifically because it said there was an EV charger ON SITE. I should’ve read the listing closer, and it states there’s a charger a couple miles away in the description, even though I filtered results for stays that have EV chargers. If it says that something is on-site, that shouldn’t mean 2 miles away. It also ended up being a Tesla charger, not one that accommodates other electric vehicles anyways so that was an extra hassle. It also states that there was laundry on site, which there is, but there was no laundry detergent. When notifying the host, they were very quick to send an instacart order over for lack of laundry supplies which was greatly appreciated. But, the dryer door was broken and unable to be used. The beds were very comfortable, wifi worked great, and outdoor amenities were great too (hot tub, hammock). Very close to the park as well. Overall had a great stay.
