We came up for SFA family weekend and it was a great place for us all to gather instead of a hotel room. House has everything you need and super cute and clean.
Highly recommend.
Sweet Magnolia is a terrific place! The listing is 100% spot on, and we couldn't have enjoyed our stay more. It is on a nice quiet side street, yet convenient to everywhere. Clean, comfortable, and completely enjoyable. We were able to relax, and enjoy our time with family. I would definitely stay here again, and would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Nacogdoches.
We were in town for work and this location was perfect for us. Full kitchen and nice bathrooms. We will utilize this location again when we are in town working.
The host was excellent. She was very responsive to my questions and made sure that I was kept up to date on policy and procedure. The only complaint I have, and it's a minor complaint about the home itself, was that like most older homes, there was a strong odor in the home when we arrived. Although the odor seemed better or we were used to it by the time we left, it was still obvious. I would suggest either running the fan on the central unit or opening windows to let fresh air in prior to arrival. As I said, this was minor although noticeable, but everything else in the house was great! Thanks for a great stay!
We traveled in with another family and our two teen boys for SFA Orientation. This home was adorable and spacious, in a quiet neighborhood, and super close to SFA, restaurants, etc. They even left their own branded bottle of wine for us as a welcome gift. Thanks for sharing your home with us!
The pictures were accurate. The property was very comfortable and beautiful. Jennifer has done an excellent job maintaining and decorating the property. I would definitely rent again.
This little house was well situated just off of a main thoroughfare in town while maintaining a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. The house was spacious yet cozy with good amenities and everything you need to enjoy your stay. Look forward to coming back for another stay at this adorable little property.
My sister and I took our mother on a spring break trip to Nacogdoches, and we couldn't have picked a better rental. The cottage was impeccably clean, beautifully decorated and well-appointed. Each of us had her lovely, comfortable bedroom, plus we enjoyed the cozy living room (with streaming TV) and full-size kitchen (with a great selection of coffees). Our host was incredibly friendly and helpful. We are delighted with our stay and highly recommend this property.

Unsafe Layout – Not Suitable for Elderly GuestsWe booked Sweet Magnolia in Nacogdoches for Oct 30–31 for my husband, my 86-year-old mother (who uses a walker), and myself. The host did mention that the front steps might be difficult, but the issues went far beyond that. The floors were very slanted, and the home’s layout was extremely awkward—one bedroom and bath in the front, and the other two only reachable by walking through the living room, kitchen, and laundry area with several raised thresholds. It was unsafe for my mother to navigate, and if she’d needed help during the night, we couldn’t have heard her. We left within 30 minutes and found a hotel instead. The house appeared fairly clean (except a stained sofa), but the host refused any refund. Very disappointing and not accurately described for accessibility.
Perfect place for all of us to gather for SFA graduation. Way better than a hotel! The house is in a great location, clean and charming. Plenty of space for 6 adults. Great communication with Jennifer before, during and after. Wish we’d found this place for the last SFA graduation! Would highly recommend!
This is the second time I’ve used this property. I have a third stay coming up soon! Love this house! Great location and precious decor. Everything you need!
Clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated, spacious home. Communication with owner was prompt and kind. My family and I had a wonderful experience in this lovely home. We will be back!

About the host
Hosted by Jennifer
Hi, I'm Jennifer. I'm so glad you chose to stay with us! It is a privilege to offer a you a nice place to stay on your vacation/business trip/life journey.
While my family and I are from Nacogdoches, the mountains are always calling and we MUST go! Whistler, BC, Canada tops our list for beauty, hiking, and overall clean air, but we also deeply love hiking in Yellowstone National Park, Targhee National Forest, and just about anywhere in the Rocky Mountains. We also love to ski in Colorado in the winter.
Gather round, kids, and I'll tell you about how I became a host:
When I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in 2013 traveling became a challenge for me and almost wasn't worth the stress as finding places to eat out that serve safe gluten free food is sometimes like looking for a clean needle in a doughy, poison haystack! This is where short term rentals became our go-to for travel accommodations. Being able to cook our own food and stay healthy while traveling was a game changer, and in 2019 I decided that I wanted to be a part of that movement.
Since then my husband and I have been able to open 6 short term rentals in Nacogdoches and Weatherford, Texas, and we have plans to open two more by the end of 2022! God has been so kind to allow us to help others in such a special, unique way.
We genuinely hope you enjoy your time at The Sweet Magnolia. We worked hard to make it feel like home and provide you with top notch furnishings, beds, linens, and finishes. Please let us know if you need anything during your stay.
