Our home is located on the Big Tallapoosa River, not far from hwy. 48 bridge. We have over 250 feet of water front in a quiet cove. Our private boat dock has lounge chairs, an umbrella upstairs, a boat slip, and a sitting area down below. The neighborhood BOAT LAUNCH is RIGHT across the street! The main level of our home is a large area with dining table and chairs as well as a bar height counter with stools. Another section is devoted to watching the flat screen TV while resting on the leather sofa and other comfortable chairs. The kitchen is also on this level with high end stainless appliances. We have almost everything you could need in a kitchen: mixer, cookie sheets, slow cooker. There is a full bathroom on this level with tile floors and granite counter tops.
This main level consists of 3 walls of windows and hickory hardwood floors. There are French doors leading from this level onto the covered deck facing the lake. There are chairs for shaded sitting while watching the fishing, skiing and swimming going on. Downstairs are two bedrooms and a full bath. The master bedroom is quite large with a laundry room and walk in closet. There is a king size bed, large leather recliner and a flat screen TV as well as a wardrobe for clothing. This room has windows facing the lake and French doors leading to a patio. The second bedroom has a full bed and a set of twin beds. The door between the full bedroom and the twin beds will close for additional privacy. This room also has French doors exiting onto the patio.
The outdoor area has an outdoor stereo system, table and chairs for dining as well as Pottery Barn sofas for entertaining or napping and a new Weber gas grill. We supply the wood for the fire pit which is great for roasting those marshmallows!!!

Loved this place once before. The dock light, a big reason we returned to this cabin, was unavailable. This time, the cabin was not as clean as expected. We hate to leave a bad review, but it wasn't the best experience. Neighbors also complained about no-wake zone violations; however, there are no signs indicating a no-wake zone. We paid a significant amount to stay for two nights and were just not satisfied. Tried to add pictures
This was our second summer staying at this location. We LOVE the layout and location of this property. The host, Pam is easy to work with and very accommodating.
We have been coming to Wedowee for quite a few years. We have been staying at Pam’s lake house for the past 5 or more years. She is a gracious host and always checks in to make sure everything is okay!! Recent renovations make it even better!
My brother's & I decided to take our 90 yr old dad fishing off the dock for Fathers day and had an absolute blast. Our dad enjoyed himself and the facilities were superb. Most likely stay again in the future. Thanks Miles family. Rod
We enjoyed the completely stocked kitchen - had every utensil etc we needed
Loved the 270 degree view out of the windows on the main floor
Having the bedrooms down stairs was a huge plus as well
Great stay and we may be back soon!
We are 4 older fisherman that plan a trip every year. This is our second stay at this house and it meets our needs very well. We cook all our meals at the house and the kitchen and dining area are great. The dock is perfect for leaving our bass boats in the water with the launch right across the street. Outside facilities are outstanding. Pleasant stay.
A quiet cozy getaway tucked away on the beautiful lake wedowee. We spent our honeymoon here and loved it so much that we booked again for our anniversary. Pam Miles is such a wonderful host as well. She is always going above and beyond to make sure we are taken care of. We will definitely be coming back!
I wish I could make some story up about how terrible this place is so I could rent it all for myself but I just can’t….it’s amazing. Favorite place to stay on the lake and I’ve stayed at several. I would give anything to be able to buy this place and retire here. Always great!
We have stayed here 3 times. Very nice clean home and nice location. We come down every year to crappie fish. We will be back again. The home owners are so nice and pleasant.
This house was perfectly located on a quiet inlet with a covered dock. The gas marina is a short boat ride down the lake. This was the best stocked kitchen we have had with a VRBO rental. The host is super responsive and proactive to make sure we had a great vacation. We will definitely be back.
This home fit our needs perfectly by providing a rustic, yet extremely comfortable and relaxing get away. There is an exceptional view of the lake with ample seating available to enjoy early morning coffee on the porches and dinner in the covered outside dining area. So many wonderful amenities provided by hosts for our short stay just means we certainly will return to enjoy again!
We REALLY ENJOYED our mini vacation at this cabin. Quiet cove with private dock. Spacious living area. Good sleeping accommodations. We especially enjoyed the outside seating and porches. The dirt roads are too treacherous for fancier boats, but the marina is a short drive to the house. The owners are VERY ACCOMMODATING We will DEFINITELY be returning to this location.
This was our 4th time at Pam’s lake house and probably the best trip ever. We had our family christmas at the lake. We forgot to bring a tree and went we got there Pam had a tree waiting on us. Our best Christmas ever!
This house and ALL of the amenities created the most perfect lake vacation for our family. The kayaks were used for early morning exploring of the cove, the dock was perfect for night fishing and day lounging. The grill area was so fun the night we did smores, the decks are the perfect hangout spot for morning coffee and the furniture and beds were all so comfy. Internet was good. The star of the show was the green light out in the water for fishing at night. We sat for hours ooohing and ahhhing at the big fish we could see. If you are wanting a remote, quiet, relaxing week at the lake, this place is perfect. The drive to "town" is about 17 minutes and had everything we needed, however, we didn't want to leave the house for anything once we got settled in.

Fantastic Lake Home
This is our second visit to this house and we absolutely love it. My husband and I and our two little boys stayed there for 4 nights of total relaxation. We spent our time fishing, swimming, jumping off the dock, kayaking, playing games, reading, putting together puzzles and eating. Definitely be sure to bring everything you need for meals and snacks if you do it want to have to take a long drive to the store. There are plenty of beach towels and lots of great seating areas outside.
The upstairs is open and provides great views of the lake and lots of natural light. The porch was so nice for sitting and enjoying a morning cup of coffee or listening to the rain. We had all of our dinners in the outdoor dining area often cooking on the grill. One of our favorite features was the fishing light off the dock. We loved to plug it in at night and watch the minnows swarm. Oh, and the sun lounge float was amazing!!! I took a nap right on the water!
We're so grateful to have found this home and plan on returning again!
