We enjoyed our time on Central Lake! Location was awesome, house was great! All the gear that comes with it was a plus, bikes, kayaks, games! Great place to stay, always something to do. Hour and half away from Mackinac Island and Sleeping Bear Dunes, both a must! So glad we found this spot!
We enjoyed our stay and especially loved the kayaks. The house was clean and centrally located so we could easily visit Bellaire, Torch Lake and Lake Michigan (short drive to each). Erin was quick to respond to any questions and was so nice, too!
Everything was as described. All the amenities we needed for a great stay. The fire pit area was our favorite! Only real complaint was the trash dumpster was overflowing and full of fruit flies from a previous guest. We’d stay again!
Everything was perfect! Erin was very accommodating to our requests and was very quick to respond to my questions. It was a very beautiful home and I would highly recommend it to anyone. It is very close to restaurants and stores that we needed. We would consider this place again.
We all really enjoyed our stay here and the owners were always nice and respond quickly to any questions! House was very clean. We've stayed at many vaca rentals and this house probably had the most items to make your trip easier, such has large beach wagon, beach umbrella, beach toys, and beach chairs. The kayaks and bikes were also so nice and the very short walk to the lake was awesome. We do wish there was more sand. We were the only ones ever there, but if even another couple arrived, it would be an awkward and very tight fit. None of us had very good cell service outside the home. Very short drive to Torch Lake where we rented a pontoon boat for the day - another great company to work with (Torch Lake Pontoon Rentals). We also enjoyed the short drive to Lake MI Antrim Creek and 1.5 hr drive to Sleeping Bear Dunes.
What a great place and lister. Erin was in contact with us very quickly whenever we needed help or had a question. She gave us advice on places to visit and was very friendly. What a sweet person.
There are three large couches which are very comfortable. Enough so, that someone could sleep on them. The kitchen is huge and has a gas stove. There is a gas grill outside too. We only used one bed, but it was very comfortable and I am picky! ;)
Ceiling fans, great AC and they even have box fans in each room if you want even more wind or want to open the windows.
Loved the game room downstairs. The wall for the dart board needs some cork to protect it. I was too afraid of damaging the wall more. ;)) We had fun playing Foosball.
TVs everywhere!!! There were USB chargers in the bedrooms too, I was surprised how much I loved that. Roku, Netflix, YouTube. Board Games in a cabinet. This place is stocked for fun!
The beach access was near by and even ducks who visit. We even saw deer a few times. The beach and water were clean and a place to enjoy swimming.
The neighborhood is pretty quiet. Some neighbors have a few dogs, but they are good at keeping them quiet when they get excited.
We had our Goldendoodle and when we got there, there was a sweet note with some local fudge and dog treats. She even set out dog bowls for our pup. Such a nice touch.
I hope to go back. I highly recommend it.
A family getway to celebrate out twin boys birthday. Although the weather didnt cooperate we had a great time kayaking, fishing etc.
Erin and Sara were very accomdating. Highly recommmenda t cooperate we had a agreata tume c
This is a nice ranch house with access to Central Lake. The neighborhood was typically quiet and the house has a large front yard and wooded back yard, so it felt very private. The
house was clean and well maintained overall. Our rating for cleanliness was a little lower because of several obvious old carpet stains in several areas of the home. We surmised them to be due to dog accidents. The only other issue was that the thermostat was not user friendly and the bedrooms became very hot at night even when temperatures were lowered to 62 degrees. In the main hallway bathroom neither the fan or the night light were operable.
Nevertheless we enjoyed our stay. Some of us slept better than others.
This could be a great place for a summer stay as kayaks and bikes were provided.
We also noted that the listing ad did not indicate a fee for pets. There was good communication from the owners, though, about this and other rental instructions and expectations.
