The place is roomy and served us well.Everything we needed is right there on the square. It's situated near family and businesses we needed while we were there. The shower is unique!
The room was very clean, plenty of room to spread out and relax. The light in the outside foyer was out and all we had to do was call and the local host, John, came the next day and fixed it so it wasn't dark out there at night anymore. Such a good place to stay, we are going back there in November!

We enjoyed staying here very much. It's a really unique space, very attractive and comfortable. We appreciated all the kitchen equipment so that we could prep and store some of our own meals, as well as the coffee! It was also interesting to visit the upstairs space, learning about the history of the library, & see some of Annemarie Mahler's art work on display!
The property was conveniently located and has private parking. The property was a studio with no walls in between the bedrooms, kitchen and main living area. The kitchenette did not have a stove. Had a very tiny refrigerator that did not get very cold. The shower was not your traditional shower, but the bathroom was just dingy and not up to my cleanliness standards. I tried to keep an open mind that I was in a 100-year-old building in the historic district and that I paid a very fair price.
It was clear that the owners had put their love and touch into the property.
I’m in my 70’s but it brought back fond childhood memories of visiting an aunt Who I had never met who loved me before I ever met them.
If we’re ever in Paoli again, we will absolutely return to our home away from home. We loved our visit: felt like we were traveling back in time to a time when people didn’t treat each other like they were strangers and “family” was extended family
Basically a 1st level basement of the library with partitions sectioning off beds. Small fridge and stainless sink, bathroom is very small. I would rate this a 4 star but i feel like for the price, location, no tv, and consistent traffic noise i have it a 3. Its a place to just lay your head. No TV or couch so youre either sitting at dining table or on bed. Like i said, its a clean place ro sleep and shower

There is a couch and chairs. Please note that the description is accurate and mentions that there is traffic noise from the square and there is no TV.
Creative unusual property.
Basement of old Library.
Thermostat for basement is upstairs. No problem.
Kitchen has air fryer, microwave, small fridge and coffee maker. Nice sink. Bathroom shower is wacky but functional. Plenty of hot water. We had grandparents, two grandkids and our pet. It was perfect and priced right. 5 stars.
I have never booked a plane to stay that wasn't a hotel. Felt a bit anxious, but gist was extremely helpful. My son and i stayed here for 5 nights.. and honestly i would do it again . The family we visited was just a short walk away... you do need to be aware of hours that this small town keeps. Walmart less than a mile away. You do get some road noise but nothing that bothered us ever. She has this place well stocked with tea and coffee. Plenty of towels dishes books etc. Was very comfortable! I would probably bring my own pillows next time. Other than that a true getaway

I am so glad you enjoyed your stay. I hope you can come visit us again.
And.. please let me know what we can do better for pillows!
:)
I am a Paoli native, currently living in Alaska. I am a retired school librarian and the building you are considering as lodging was the original town library. This is my second home and I hope you will feel welcome here.
