About this property
Updated, private, comfortable and convenient 3BR on the Makers Trail
Enjoy this fully updated home offered with privacy, comfort and convenience in mind. Thoughtfully designed, this cozy spot is a short drive from everything Harbor Country has to offer. Nestled between Stevensville and Bridgman and only a 5-minute drive to both Grand Mere State Park and Weko Beach, and less than 15 minute drive to Silver Beach and Warren Dunes. Also located on the Makers Trail, wineries and distilleries are also easily accessible. There is a TON to do and enjoy within a short drive.
On a private, wooded lot, this home has an updated, fully loaded kitchen with space for your group to cook and mingle.
The dining table seats 6 comfortably and the brand-new, cook-friendly kitchen sports all new appliances including an induction stove with an air-frying feature, dishwasher, extra deep stainless steel sink, chef's faucet, toaster oven, ice maker and more. The Lake Michigan tap water is filtered at the kitchen sink and fridge for crisp, refreshing water and ice.
The airy great room with vaulted ceilings has 3 walls of massive windows, two plush seating areas, a 70"TV, a pellet stove for a fire on a chilly evening, a bar cabinet and more. This room overlooks a spacious, private yard full of wildlife. Deer, turkeys, birds of prey, muskrats and more have been seen from the huge back deck. There is a propane fire pit on the deck and the dark night sky and comfortable Adirondack chairs make for great stargazing! A propane grill is right outside the kitchen door and the screened-in porch with an outdoor dining table lends itself to pleasant bug-free meals outdoors or just relaxing while listening to the call of the frogs in the evening.
The master bedroom outfitted in soothing blue and white accents host a queen-sized memory foam bed, blackout curtains, and a dedicated office nook. A Herman Miller office chair, an available computer monitor and a wireless phone charging station can help you be effective if you have to squeeze in a bit of work during your stay. The computer monitor also has a Roku connected if you want to stream your favorite show in bed.
The cozy second bedroom upstairs hosts another queen bed with a plush innerspring mattress, generous closet and a fun tropical theme.
Both upstairs bedrooms are outfitted with closet organizers and luggage racks. There are plenty of outlets for charging devices and each room has white noise machines to help you get the best possible rest during your stay.
Downstairs is the true sleep sanctuary! This room with dark accents hosts another queen mattress that is a hybrid innerspring/foam mattress. Blackout curtains and a very quiet room make for a night of deep sleep if you're really needing to recharge!
One sofa in the living room does quickly convert to a supportive futon, if needed.
The bathroom is on the main floor and has a tub with two shower heads and has been recently updated with a new vanity, mirror, toilet and flooring.
The laundry room has a new front-loading washer and dryer as well as a stainless steel wash sink. There are also a counter and mirrors and outlets in the laundry so that this area can be used as an an additional area to get ready if the bathroom is occupied.
Linens, towels, and beach towels are provided. The kitchen is fully appointed with high-quality cookware, dishes, glassware and utensils. There is a coffee maker and french press, several varieties of tea to try Puzzles, games and cards are stashed in the dining area in case of a rainy day. WiFi is available throughout the home. There is a 70" TV with a Roku in the living room also.
The house is on a fairly busy road, but the house is set back from the road and there is parking for several cars in the circle driveway. The lot is surrounded by dense woods, so it is full of nature, both good and bad! Mosquitoes, ticks, stinkbugs, pollen, leaves and bits of nature that are somewhat inescapable in this woodsy location! There is natural repellent on the back deck that you can use to spray down the deck that does help a lot, but don't forget the bug spray. The property line ends at the fence line, so please do not wander into the woods or near the pond.
There is a level 2 EV charger accessible if you request it in advance.
Be sure to check out St. Joe Today for a calendar of events and suggestions for things to do in the area.
