Nothing could have compared to our stay in this beautiful loft in Albany. The moment we entered it felt like home--a stunning kitchen, cozy living room, luxurious beds--you name it. I made this reservation for my athletes, their parents and myself and a huge piece of our success as a team was staying at Mike's rental. Without exaggeration I have never stayed in a more welcoming home or town.
This was an enjoyable stay at a beautifully maintained older downtown property - loved the location, ease of parking, and walkable access to everything downtown!
Property was very nice, as advertised. The location was perfect for our visit. A 5 minute walk would provide shopping, restaurants and bars.
Informational book provided all details need during stay.
Very clean and tidy! Amazing space to stay
My family booked this place while sending my daughter off to college. Couldn't have picked a better place to bond as a family. We all enjoyed and spent most of our time in the game room. Albany is a little gem. Great food, coffee houses, movie theatre, and scenic places to stroll. Thank you for letting us enjoy your home.
This historic loft was fantastic . Everything was thought of we could possibly need, it was clean with wonderful art and comfortable seating and bed. Great restaurants within walking . Would not hesitate to return . Thank you .
Enjoyed our stay. Thankfully the temps were comfortable. The loft had everything you could need. Too bad we didn’t cook a big meal-it would have been great!
We were in town for National track meet at Hayward Field. This place is about 45 minutes North but it is worth the travel. Gourmet kitchen with plenty of space. Host was also very helpful and even helped return a stuffed animal left behind. Would definitely stay here again.
We were VERY pleased with our stay. Our son got married at Flinn Block Hall, and having this large space just a block and a half away was ideal! It offered tons of space, the rec room was enjoyed, spacious wonderfully equipped kitchen, large windows, comfortable bedding all made it great! Mike was a super host. He met us there, gave us a tour. We talked about having a family gathering their next summer to celebrate with our son's family!
I have stayed in many VRBO properties, but this one outshines the rest by far! I was sent a message ahead of time letting us know that the owner would meet us there. He let us in and gave us a thorough tour and even gave us the history of the building. The apartment is extremely spacious and very well furnished. It was high end while at the same time very homey. It is obvious that a lot of planning and work went into this property. It wows you from the minute you walk in and just keeps wowing you with every room. Mike is just the greatest guy and made us feel like he was sharing the home with family. We will definitely rent here again!
We had a great stay at Mike's place in Albany while visiting our son at OSU. The apartment is enormous, immaculate and well designed. It feels like staying at the home of a friend with great taste. The towels and linens are new and good quality, the beds are super comfortable and the showers are high end with plenty of hot water. The gourmet kitchen is well stocked with equipment, essentials and a stellar cookbook collection. There is plenty of comfortable seating for TV watching or hanging out, and the pool table is a nice bonus.
Mike is an excellent host and very easy to communicate with.
He met us at check in to show us around, answer questions and give local recommendations.
The drive to Corvallis is easy and we stopped at Mike's winery on the way for a delicious Pinot Noir and nice view. We had a good meal in Albany and there is also an excellent coffee shop right around the corner. All in all a great place to stay- we'll be back!

Good stay if you don't need the extra bunk room
We stayed with four adults and two young children at the condo. It was a large, mostly updated space and could have been great. We were disappointed in the "kids room." We specifically got it so the kids could stay together in a bunk bed. The bunk bed was in the unfinished portion of the house. It had a creepy ladder and upper attic right next to it (not shown in the online photos). My MIL and I were uncomfortable with them sleeping there with the door shut- which they had to do since it was a room air conditioning unit. Not to mention even with the door shut the room was still too warm. The owner called to check-in, but I missed him. I let him know via VM but received no response. Just as an FYI- there was a putrid smell in the primary bath, and it definitely appears to be a property the owner lives in, if that matters to you.
My team and I were in town for the Ironman race in Salem. There was more than enough room for us and the best thing was we were able to store our bikes under the apartment. We didn’t have to carry them up the stairs! Also, love the central air!
A hidden gem in plain sight the Loft in historic Albany was the perfect home away from home. The loved our stay in the historic building. The huge, homey space lovingly restored and furnished was a welcome retreat in the heart of historic Albany. Within blocks of the Willamette River, perched amid locally owned and sourced restaurants, pubs and shops, the loft was surprisingly quiet and private. From the entertainers kitchen and rec room, the most comfy beds ever, spacious bathrooms, every detail was considered immaculately provided. We can’t wait to come back!
Thank you Mike for welcoming us and taking such great care of our family for this important weekend.
