Fun safe place to stay!

The condo was just as described. It has 3 large bedrooms that are perfect for a multi-generational family. The decks are a great area to watch the birds from. The whole place is safe , gaurded and fenced. The pools are clean and the perfect depth for kids and playing ball. Swim up bar is definitely a must. Los Suenos has everything you need and there's a store, Starbucks and restaurants right down the road. Great trip, made lots of memories.

The condo is clean, well equipped, with nice furniture. I can recommend it for staying with your family and enjoy a nice vacation. It's on a second floor with a stairway. The pool areas that are good for kids. There is a community gym you can use. We really liked our stay.

Overall, the property is as listed. The location is convenient within Los Sueños with the beach club being within 50 mts and the Marina about 300 mts away. The apartment is well equipped and confortable. I would rent again for sure.

The BEST week!

I cannot say enough great things about this condo and the Marina that it is in! We have been to Costa Rica many times and this was our favorite spot! The condo itself is a great size, clean and well stocked! We loved the pool next to the condo! We almost always had it to ourselves! The pass that comes with the condo that gives you access to the Beach club is also great! The swim up bar is a perfect way to start happy hour! The fishing was top notch and the surfing on Jaco Beach was a blast! We went on an excursion the Mangrove and learned so much about Costa Rican wildlife and nature! The office “Dreammakers” takes care of everything seamlessly! We were SO sad to leave today! We will be back!! Pura Vida!!!!! Thanks for an incredible vacation!!!

Beautiful, comfortable, and clean

Excellent property with beautiful grounds, great beach club. Well stocked kitchen supplies, very comfortable beds. Great layout and spaces. When we got to the office to check in, nobody was there and we had no way of knowing when they would come back. We tried Jeff but no answer and did not know how to call within Costa Rica so just make sure you have info and a plan in your back pocket. Luckily they came back fairly quickly but not the friendliest. Amazing property though!!

The beautiful Fish Shack

Our adult family of six stayed in this beautiful home away from home for 7 days and nights. Unit was incredibly clean and comfortable - Keylor with Costa Rican Dream Makers was amazing. He made check in easy and expedient after a long day of travel. A plus for this management group! The view from the main terrace overlooked the fairway with view of many beautiful birds - our favorite were the parrots that visited almost every morning. The gentlemen at the gatehouse were so friendly and helpful as well. We highly recommend this property to any family. There is room for everyone with a full kitchen - there was nothing missing that we needed! We hope to return to this beautiful country and hope to stay at the Fishshack again!

Jeff...Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your home away from home. We spent the majority of the time surfing. My six year old son loved working with Juan from Jaco surf school and our teenager loved surfing with Alex from The Surf Factory. So much thanks to Marco, your concierge. He was very helpful especially when our little one came down with a fever. The details in your home made us feel like we were in a true Costa Rican home...love the decor!!! The beds in the master suites were SUPER comfy too, which is always a plus in my book. We will definitely be back!! Oh, and I highly suggest the Monkey Mangrove tour for a family outing. Ask for Alex, he was beyond impressive!!!!!!!! Pura Vida!!!!

Perfect and Spacious

The property is absolutely beautiful. FishShack is decorated very inviting, comfortable, and colorful. I had other family members staying at different condos at nearby properties and their condos had plain white walls, and seemed less inviting. This condo was very spacious! I had a total of 6 people in my party. We had our own rooms and bathrooms which definitely helped. The closets are stocked with towels and beach towels. The front room is so big, we were able to cook, sit and eat very comfortably. With the rental you get access to other pools. We went to the Beach Club several times. The swim up pool bar is great. I highly suggest renting the golf cart from Jeff. That was how we got around the property. The only minor suggestion I have is to provide the information for the property management. I had to look online for the number and contact them to get the check-in information. However they are extremely helpful! They provided information on excursions, restaurants, and even offered to help with reservations. Be sure to keep the management number handy upon check-in. My driver took me to the property instead of the office. I called the office and they helped out immediately.

Fine for offseason prices but do not recommend for high season (spend the premium elsewhere)

Pros: - The condo itself has a nice, walkable location to the dock, golf course and entrance to taxi/uber pick up/drop offs - The washer and dryer worked perfectly for our needs and was much appreciated - Neighbors were all visible but was overall quiet (even between bedroom of guests, it was quiet) - Spacious for 3 adult couples Cons: - The beds were so hard that 2 guests chose to sleep on the couch & the floor both nights - Far left bathroom sink was clogged and took 24 hrs to drain - In this same bathroom as the clogged sink, the build up on the shower head was so thick with hard water that half of the head wouldn't properly stream - The far right bathroom's shower never once had hot water so the couple staying in that room had to shower elsewhere (a pro within a con is that 3 full bathrooms made it so that the issues with the bathrooms, someone could quickly go to the next and take care of their needs) ^^ Note: We never addressed it because we already experienced lags in responses and by the time it could have been resolved we would have been close to, if not already, checked out Needs improvement: - Communication. I'll explain: So Jeff (GREAT guy to communicate with) is a co-owner of this condo who outsources this rental through "Costa Rica Dream Makers" who then sets up a point person within their company to communicate with prior to arrival (our rep was Brandon). At check in, we dealt with a different staff member of CRDM who gave us a physical printed sheet with a new short list of who to contact with questions during the stay all different than what we already had. Every person has their own contact so by the time we got to check in we had 3-5 different streams of communication and about 8 different phone numbers. From the start, it was never clear who we should be speaking to, we'd send a message to Jeff who would CC us on a email to CRDM who then would delegate a response from the point person who was not always successful in returning our inquiry (this was understandable for soft inquiries but during our stay when we had in the moment, time sensitive questions the lags became frustrating). None of our communication was bad, everyone was friendly and respectable to us BUT the bottom line is with so many contact people, questions and requests fell through the cracks, left us feeling confused and added unnecessary stress. Overall, the unit in general is fine, not great not awful but not worth the 1k for 2 nights we paid.
