The lagoon's calm waters seem to lap up to your door at this home on the shores of Bainbridge Island. This waterfront retreat is a true escape from the city, offering a pebbly stretch of beach and a canoe and rowboat to take out each day to explore Puget Sound.

This home is on the Hedley Spit, the little strip of land at the northernmost point of Bainbridge Island. In this scenic spot facing the lagoon, you'll be less than seven miles from the Seattle ferry, shops, markets, restaurants, and museums in Winslow - the island's downtown district.

A deck running the length of the house makes the most of this setting, providing you with a lovely spot for morning coffee, a bit of afternoon reading, or coffee and dessert at sunset.

Inside, the living space is full of light, with picture windows that wrap the corners and bring in gorgeous views of the water and mountains. After a day of paddling out on the sound, curl up by the wood-burning fireplace and stream your favorite movies on the smart TV. A roomy dining area leads into a polished kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a glass-tile backsplash. Other features include two waterfront bedrooms, a washer/dryer, and complimentary WiFi.

Amazing Cottage
We had the best time staying here while on the island for a wedding. The cottage was the perfect size for two couples and while we weren’t there much, we enjoyed waking up to coffee overlooking the lake and watching the sun set over the water

The location is perfect!
This home is on a little gem of a sand spit between the sound and a lagoon. The deck is right over the water at high tide and at low tide you can watch the clams spit water and the crabs scurry. The otters are fun to watch too! It also has a lovely view of Mt Ranier on clear days. We loved the use of a canoe and row boat to get out onto the water. It is within walking distance to a park where you can dip your toes in the sound and listen to the waves. As for the house itself, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was large. The kitchen had everything we needed for quick breakfasts and making sandwiches. We didn't cook dinner. Some of the dishes and silverware were dirty, but they give you plenty of dishwasher tablets and liquid. The beds were very comfortable and the comforter was cozy. They offered plenty of clean towels. Everything you need for a great time is provided. The only thing keeping us from a 5 star review is that the living room isnt very comfortable. The sofas are very worn, a bit dirty (especially between cushions), and not very comfortable. I wouldn't feel comfortable curling up with book in the living room. However, we were lucky to have great weather, so I just spent time enjoying the lovely location. Thank you for a lovely week!
