Don't rent this unit - you will regret it
The customer service is HORRIBLE. They lie, don't do what they say. they will. In addition, they have been issued a cease and desist order from the HOA of the building. Given that, you would think they wouldn't let me book the unit, but they did AND took my money AND refused to give it back. I have never dealt with a worse rental in my life and I have rented MANY units from many different compains

Great condo in a rejuvenated old town building
Excellent property with minor inconveniences due to the prior visitors. The property manager accommodated this inconvenience appropriately and was a pleasure to deal with. I would stay in this location again with the hope that prior guests are more respectful with others' property.

Good price for location
This apartment is definitely more run down than the pictures let on. We arrived to housekeeping still in the apartment and the apartment smelling incredibly like cigarette smoke. I think it was housekeeping because it quickly dissipated. At the time of my booking (not sure if it is updated now) there was no description of the incredibly steep step of stairs needed to get to the 2nd floor. The curtain rods in 1 bedroom were duck taped to the wall. Overall, however, I think the price was fairly representative of what you get and the owner was extremely responsive when I brought these concerns to his attention.

Nice place brand new
Owner had to move me because other place could not be used. The apartment was beautiful brand new. Only downside was away from the first apartment which was in Old city and this one is in fishtown. Needed to hook up TV myself couldn’t get Cable to work. Luckily I had the laptop with me. Other than that everything was fine. The TV thing really wasn’t a problem just a little inconvenience but hey things happen.

Excellent location
The location was great. Keep in mind the unit is one floor up a steep flight of steps. I don’t recommend bringing a car as parking is extremely limited. Kitchen and bathroom were clean, however, several electrical outlets were not working, including in kitchen and bathroom. The microwave was also not working. If these issues are corrected and whoever does cleaning will also clean all windows and remove cobwebs, this will be the perfect place. The cafe next door was wonderful and yummy. We were able to go most historical sights by simply walking from this location. Overall I still believe this was a great value fir what was paid.

Great Location!
Loved the location of this apt. Great neighborhood with walking access to all the historic sites and a quick Uber ride to sports complex. Deli downstairs is great, check it out! Apt could use a fresh paint job and some decor to make it inviting. Only access is by 3 steep flights of stairs, so heads-up on that.

Very bad experience
Pictures on site don’t necessarily correspond. The house is not clean. There were only 2 real beds for 8 persons. 2 persons of us slept on the floor because there were not enough inflatable mattress. 2 of us slept at hotel. What a shame ! Not a word from the owner... Not a refund from home away . We paid a lot. very very bad experience

Great location and unit
I noticed that a couple recent reviews were less than complimentary, but my wife and I had a great experience. Here is a summary: 1) We had not gotten pass codes for the locks as of the morning we were to leave for Philly. We sent a text to the owner and received the codes immediately 2) The outside temperature was in the 90's during a couple days of our stay, and the air conditioning seemed OK . 3) The apartment was clean. 4) Parking was generally available. My last day I received a $76 parking ticket. I should have read the parking signs more carefully and looked at the parking maps that were sent by the owner. 5) As others have stated the location is great and you can easily walk to the historic sites and restaurants. Given that this is a 3rd floor walk up, the apartment is not appropriate for someone with mobility issues.. 6) The kitchen and bathroom are great, and the beds really comfortable. The only negative I can come up with is that the couch is small, beat up, and uncomfortable. You definitely can't sleep on it, and it is really not very comfortable if you want to just sit and watch TV for a bit. 7) Overall, I highly recommend the unit. It's a great value for the price! We had a great trip! I would stay again. .

Great Location but Photos are Misleading
This is a great location in historic Philadelphia. The apartment is very spacious. However, the photos of it are somewhat misleading. The kitchen and bathroom have been updated and are very nice and were clean; however, the rest of the property was old and run down. The floors were dirty. The bedroom in the back only had a mattress on the floor. There was a broken or unusable bed frame it had been on but it was just sitting there. The bedroom in the front has no direct air conditioning as the vents are mostly in the back of the unit. So it was very hot. Even sleeping leaving the door open did not cool it down. The curtains were pieced together with duct tape and the blinds in the back room didn't come all the way down. Interestingly the windows were unlocked and one was slightly up in the back. Had I not checked, that could have been ripe for theft or worse. The mattresses were dirty as well we discovered as we were instructed to take off sheets before leaving. I attempted to communicate with owner prior to arriving to get info on things close by and restaurants and he never responded. I didn't get the check in info as it said I would until I arrived and saw that I still had no info on the app. I messaged him and he promptly provided it then. From talking with others around the property, it does not appear that this was anything other than just an apartment for rent. The property owner does not appear to live there. It seems to just be a full time listing. We were only there for 2 nights and were not at the property except to sleep and shower. If it had been a longer stay, I don't know if I would have stayed there. He asked that we not wear shoes but the bottoms of your feet were black and filthy because the floor was so dirty. If the place were properly cleaned, a fresh coat of paint, some proper curtains and blinds and the AC worked, it would have been great. There is a little deli next door that was wonderful and we really enjoyed the location. I did not complain directly to the owner when I arrived about anything other than questioning the mattress in the floor. I didn't feel like the cleanliness issue would be rectified practically while we were there and either we could tolerate it or leave. So just be aware, the photos are somewhat misleading and this place may not be as clean or cool as you like.

Awful!!!
Bed slats were broken and somewhat duct taped together, curtains torn in front bedroom, blinds in back bedroom torn in half, dirty walls, dirty toaster oven, no towels, no soap. Bedding was dirty. We stayed for 45 minutes trying to resolve the matter. Property owner was unsympathetic and attempted to deal with us through a 3rd party. I would never reccomend anyone rent this apartment. Very steep stairs to the unit.

No AC in front room
Avi was a wonderful host and went out of his way to figure out a logistical problem about the booking. The unit is centrally located, clean and a good deal. However, and there is no AC vent in the front room. This means that if you want to keep cool you have to leave the door open, and even with the AC turned way down, it doesn't get very comfortable in that room. For that reason, I would have to consider this a 1 bedroom rental. It's reasonably enough priced to be worth it for that, but it's a problem if you need two bedrooms

Nice place for a few nights stay! The communication and “check in/out” couldn’t be any easier!! This apartment is up a flight of narrow stairs. In and out of the building and apartment are easy, no keys to carry around. Perfect location not too busy not too far from all the attractions. Not a lot of stores or restaurants right close but the little cafe next door has excellent breakfast sandwiches!! Follow parking signs. We arrived on a Friday evening traffic was horrible roads are narrow and parking is limited. We took a chance to stop to unload in a “NO STOPPING” zone and wasn’t there 10 minutes and went out to move the car walking up to a parking officer presenting us with a $76 ticket!! Great luck with Uber and lyft from this address although seemed lyft was most generally closer by than Uber.

Great Location!
Love the Old City location! Quiet yet easy access to both I95 & 676/76. Plenty of restaurants to choose from in walking distance (we hit Tuna Bar for some great sushi & newcomer Makhani for some fantastic Indian cuisine). The family that runs Torch Wood Cafe which is located literally one door down, got everyday rolling w/ an extensive menu of coffee, smoothies, paninis, sandwiches etc and the vinyl spinning on the record player was a nice touch. We’ll definitely be back in the near future! Cheers!!
