Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations and appreciate you taking the time to comment. We understand your frustration with the hot water. The upstairs shower is the furthest from the home’s tankless system, so it can occasionally take longer for the hot water to reach that area. We also provide the home’s layout and door instructions in our guest guide to help make the property easier to navigate. As a waterfront home, insects and spiders can be more noticeable during the summer months. Our team removes webs during cleaning, although they can unfortunately reappear quickly. We also understand that occupancy requirements can sometimes feel restrictive. Our maximum occupancy is tied to Talbot County requirements for our short-term rental license, so we are required to apply those limits consistently to every reservation. We appreciate the comments regarding kitchen equipment, accessories, and other maintenance items and have reviewed them with our team. Had these concerns been brought to our attention during the stay, we would have been happy to address them promptly. We sincerely appreciate your feedback. Guest comments, including critical ones, help us identify areas where we can improve the experience. We are sorry that your stay fell short of what you expected and of the experience we want our guests to have, and we thank you for giving us the opportunity to learn from it.

Thank you for your review Rick! We were very surprised to hear that you found cockroaches. We have never seen, or had guests report, cockroaches in the house before. We will keep an eye on this. All of our instruction manuals are in the kitchen drawer (we will add this note to our guest guide), we welcome dogs but ask that guests keep them off beds and furniture. We always encourage our guests to bring any issues to our attention as soon as they arise so we can remedy them immediately. Hi Alisa! Thank for staying with us and taking the time to write a review. We hope that you return and experience Thorneton Point Estate now that we cured these issues. We changed the spa heater from gas to electric. The shower does work; we ask that you call in the future about anything. We would have given you proper guidance on its operation. One of the two ovens had a burnt out element and has been replaced. We have investigated the lights, but, we have not detected random operation. Hopefully that was an anomaly.
