A few buddies and I rented this for a guys weekend. The place was great and check in/out was easy. The property manager was very responsive and super helpful!
Our stay was amazing. Plenty of room and fun for all. Definitely a great off the grid experience. We had such a wonderful time no one had time or thoughts of using electronics.
First time ever for all extended family to meet in one place! We had a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration without tripping over one another. We would book again in a heartbeat. The only downside was cell service was not good at all, which was only a detriment as we were expecting family to arrive after dark, everyone did arrive safely. We felt very welcome! Thank you for the hospitality!!
Our 5 adult children, 2 grandchildren, dad and wife stayed. We had a cook out and 25 other people visited one night. Plenty of room, used fire pit, grill, all outside offerings. Close to marina, new ping pong table, corn hole. It was perfect for what we needed. Tom was available whenever we had any questions.
Just a great experience!
We loved this beautiful home! Our family of 8 had plenty to do here in this secluded setting. It’s down a long drive in a very hilly area near the lake, so there’s lots to look at on the drive to the home. There is a ramp to enter and the master bathroom and bedroom are handicap accessible. The whole home has plenty of room to move around with a walker or wheelchair. The decor is fresh and pretty. The game house was very fun for the teens and the main house had plenty of room for all of us. Tom makes contact easy and responded immediately to fix a minor issue that we had. Be aware it’s Wi-Fi only, so no cell service, but that helped us unplug some and interact more which was great! We highly recommend this home for a get away!
Pros: The house itself was beautiful, well decorated, spacious. The deck was amazing. Very secluded which we wanted.
Cons: looking at the aerial view I thought the outskirts of property was was right on the lake. It was a 20 minute drive to the marina. Also, the description stated 40 acres to explore with state land adjacent. That was not the case. I expected walking paths. The property is heavily overgrown with zero walking paths and no way of getting thru the overgrowth. My family and I were very disappointed in these stated “cons”.
The owner of the property was absolutely amazing! We reached out for assistance a couple of times for minor issues he was at the Vrbo within an hour. The house and play house were spectacular and peaceful with beautiful views of the landscape. The trails were mainly uphill but thats what I expected I mean we were in the mountains. The drive to the Vrbo was very windy and up and down the mountains on narrow roads so if your not confortable driving in the mountains this is not the place for you. However, if you are comfortable driving in the mountains and prepare yourselves for a 20 minute drive from the highway I highly recommended this Vrbo. We highly recommended the Vrbo as it was just what we wanted the kids all had a wonderful time they were on on their smart devices to do homework or listen to music. We really liked that we could minimize the 7 and 9 year olds access to the play house due the the door code keypad entry. The teenages had a blast playing pool and making smores. Thank you to the owner Tom for making this trip the best it could be as since we brought our moms ashes home to spread them at her favorite places in TN, and had a hand full of local family members over for a cookout.
