Fabulous Harbor/Ocean View - Minutes to Beaches and Boardwalk

Enjoy the fabulous Harbor/Ocean Views located in this ideally located comfortably furnished 4 bedroom (including room with 2 twin beds in sitting area downstairs), 3 bath home with open beamed ceiling, and large eating area. Den can also be closed off to provide an additional sleeping area with pull out couch. Sleeps 11. Great for Couples, Families and Reunions.

Located in a quiet residential neighborhood just 2 blocks from Seabright Beach. It’s within walking distance to the historic Santa Cruz Boardwalk, Santa Cruz Municipal Wharf, “Crows Nest” (a wonderful Oceanside restaurant and bar – which can be seen across the harbor from our home), “Aldo’s” (renowned for breakfast or lunch), Johnny's Harborside and other great restaurants and nightlife. You can rent a Kayak or take a Sunset Cruise on the Chardonay Catamaran. So many options available from this great location!

Only 10 driving minutes to nearby Capitola, and 45 to 60 minute drive to Monterey and Carmel.

The house is approx. 2,150 sq ft and on 3 levels.

You enter on the entry level where you will find the living room, dining area, kitchen, den, full bathroom, and deck with Charcoal BBQ grill and outdoor furniture. Den, with couch that can convert to full size bed, can be completely closed off to provide an additional private room.

Up 1 level is the master bedroom (king bed), full bath, and small balcony.

Down 1 level from the entry you will find 2 bedrooms, a large bonus/sitting area, full bathroom, washer/dryer and deck (with outdoor shower). 1st downstairs bedroom has a king bed. 2nd bedroom has a king bed & and 1 twin bed. 2 twin beds are located in the bonus/sitting area.

Childrens Play Pen and High Chair on premises.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Turn thermostat off. Lock front door and leave the key in the outside lockbox.
During rental: Take garbage cans to the curb for garbage pickup and return the cans the following morning (if applicable to your rental dates).
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
When departing Leave used beds unmade Start dishwasher with your last load and leave clean dishes. Empty garbage/wastepaper baskets to outside cans.
When departing: Remove perishable food. Turn thermostat off. Leave inside keys on kitchen counter. Lock doors/windows, leave key in outside lockbox.
Take garbage cans to curb for garbage pickup and return cans following morning (if applicable to your rental dates).

The kitchen had a lot of equipment for cooking, some you had to dig around for, some was a little rusty. But we were able to make several family meals, so in the end I gave it a "good" rating.

It was great for a Family Reunion. We enjoyed the home, plenty large enough for our group. The amenities were perfect and the location was breathtaking. We would definitely book again.

My family and I had a great time in Santa Cruz. The view from this home was beautiful and we took great sunrise pictures over the water and boats. The house was nice but does need some updating. The basement beds were a bit uncomfortable and noticeably lumpy by the look. We had a few issues with the tub drain, ants, and a gas smell, but contacted the owners and they had someone out right away to take a look. The owners were very responsive to our messages. The location of the home was great, we easily walked with our small children to the beach and the boardwalk and to restaurants. We lucked out with great weather for late January. Overall this house worked well for our four children and five adults.

Overall it is a beautiful property and a nice stay. Wish they had lights on the walk path especially for someone older. It was close by to the venues especially Roaring camp where my son got married. Would definitely stay there again.

This house is in a great location with fantastic views. Its bright and airy. We loved it and had a really good time. Check in was easy. Walking to the beach, and local restaurants was so easy, The layout of the house is great. We had x3 families of 4 people, and we all had loads of room. Will book again

Family gathering for a 91st birthday surprise.

Perfect amount of space for 3 families with kids and grandkids aged 2,7 and 10. Clean and stocked well with kitchen needs. Loved waking up to the sounds and sights of the harbor. Would stay again for sure.

Beautiful, Clean and Perfect

The property has beautiful views of harbor, very spacious, clean, easy to contact the property manager, she is a very nice and kind person, close to Boardwalk, (19 min walk or 5 min on car) in a very good area, perfect for a little family reunion. We really enjoyed it!!

Great Spot!!!

Excellent access to fun spots in Santa Cruz. Walkable community. Spectacular views. Easy access to grocery stores. Great place to have a large family meal with plenty of dining and deck space. Cleaners could be more thorough in their attention to bathrooms and kitchen areas.

This property has the most incredible view of the Harbor and It’s a 5-10 minute walk to the beach. The kitchen is well stocked, and the beds are comfortable. I have nothing but nice things to say about the whole experience. Thank you!!

Great neighborhood- wonderful home layout

Everything was wonderful with terrific rooms for us and great kitchen and dining, I would give 6 stars, but the place REALLY needs a deep cleaning. We opened (and washed) windows, bought detergent, washed sheets, and dishes, vacuumed and dusted. Then we had a fantastic stay. There is a short walk to the lighthouse (and Aldo’s restaurant) and beach. We drove down to the Monterey aquarium (1 hour). Our personal Chef, Mark Gallagher, was fabulous for New Years Eve. The host was terrific and very helpful.

Great 35th Birthday

I took some family members to this property to celebrate my 35th birthday and it was absolutely beautiful. Centrally located with a ton of great places to walk to. Kirk and Diana were so easy to communicate with and their check-in instructions were easy to follow! The photos of this home do not compare to seeing this property in person, beautiful view, lots of space (11 in our group), clean and comfy! We can not wait to plan another trip at “The Harbor House”

Perfect for family vacation

This was our first time staying at this property. It was perfect for 3 couples, with plenty of room both inside and out. We enjoyed spending time on the deck watching the yachts in the harbor. The pictures of the property don’t do it justice, especially the kitchen which was noted as being “small” in several reviews. We found the space was laid out perfectly and really appreciated having a pantry to store food. We are hoping to return again.

Excellent & Convenient Location

Check in was easy. Had all the conveniences. Cleanliness was so, so, there was mold on the master bathrooms bathmat. Ran out of toilet paper.. Had to kill 2 black widows. Easy to follow directions for check out and communication with manager was good. Would definately come back.

Great week

We had a great week at this wonderful house. Bright and airy, large but cozy. Enough room for 3 generations ( 4 kids ages 7-12, 2 sets of parents and 2 grandfolks) to spread out and/or be together. Pleasant walk to a perfect beach, close enough to the fun boardwalk, within walking distance to good restaurants. We just wonder why we had to supply own towels or pay $100 to have them supplied! We have stayed in perhaps 30 rentals in the past 4 years and NEVER have been asked to do that. Otherwise, no complaints.

Great Location, great house

Overall the experience was very good. I want to be honest about the place. The location is perfect. Everything is very walkable and the floor plan of the house is very accomodating for a large group. The house has had some updates done in the kitchen, bathrooms and flooring that are very nice. It also came fully stocked with the necessities for our stay (i.e. paper towels, TP, dishes, etc.). I would concur with one of the past reviews, that although the house has been surface cleaned, it could use a deep clean. Additionally, the furniture in the living area needs to be updated and some areas of the decking need repair. Overall, the location, the floor plan and easy check-in make it a nice place to stay. The next time we need a beach fix this will be on the top of our list.
