This unique property, located in the private neighborhood of Trapiche in the heart of La Fortuna, is accessible to many eco-tourism activities and only minutes away from the lively downtown area.

You rent the full property with two cozy cottages and a common area, including a pool. Where you can enjoy spectacular views of the Arenal Volcano making it a great place for big groups or families looking for a place to relax, get away, and reconnect with nature.

Each cottage has the essentials to fully enjoy your time there: three air-conditioned bedrooms, one bedroom has a full-size bed and each of the two other bedrooms have a full-size bunk bed, two full bathrooms with step-free showers, a full kitchen, a TV with cable, parking for two cars, and free WIFI. I can’t wait to share this enchanting place with you!

We enjoyed our stay! The pool and surrounding patio were great for relaxing and the outdoor area behind was wonderful for bird watching and yoga. We didn't cook much, but appreciated the coffee maker, refrigerators and access to dishes. The road leading up to the property turn in is very rough, so be prepared for that. Also, a house has been built across the street that now obstructs the volcano view, but walking just a short distance, you can get a beautiful view.Our host was very helpful and responsive. He even suggested a driver for us! We would definitely stay again!

Property was just what we needed for our family group of 13 traveling to La Fortuna for a few days. There was plenty of space to spread out, the pool was fantastic (when it wasn't raining), and the neighborhood felt secure and safe with easy access back into town and all attractions.

Great location, walkable to a good restaurant and several other things. Liked being in a secure gated community. Host was responsive to any questions. Pool was beautiful even if it was too cool to use during our stay. It was nice to have some supplies like coffee, salt, shampoo to get started. While they had papertowels, no kitchen towels, which felt a little wasteful. The kitchen is stocked with some basics but you probably wont be cooking dinner at the units. Was fine for us to make breakfast and snacks. We had some issues with showers, may need new shower heads as shower sprays out of shower, even sprays through the curtain. Overall a fine fit for our group of 6 ladies and budget friendly.

We had a nice stay. The place was simple, clean, and safe. A little hard to find at first, so be sure to call and ask for landmarks. The security staff was friendly and diligent. Location was close to all the activities we wanted to do. A great choice if you are looking for budget friendly and safe.

Overall a nice stay and well suited for two families traveling together - we enjoyed the private space each home offered as well as shared time in the pool and on the lanai.Between the two houses we had most of what we needed but neither was entirely complete (for example, one house had a coffee maker but no coffee pot, one house had hot pads and the other didn’t) - recommend taking quick inventory of each to make sure each has what it needs.

Relaxation & Chill, Just what we needed!

Property was located in a nice secluded neighborhood. Town of La Fortuna close by via 7-15 minute cab ride. Town was quaint, lovely shops, grocery & butcher. The best was the pool & hammock which I enjoyed tremendously! Owners & property manager very receptive & attended to all our immediate needs. Will definitely post my good time on social media.

Unique home in La Fortuna

You will need to have a car to stay at this unique property in La Fortuna. It is the perfect home to rent if two families or a large group of friends are traveling together. The home was clean. The common spaces were a little small, so it makes a great place to rest your head at night but not to hang out as a group. It is a quick drive into La Fortuna and all the activites in the area. There are a lot of dining options if you don't want to prepare your own meals.The home was clean and the beds are comfortable. The couches in one of the houses are well used, so probably wouldn't be very comfortable to sleep on. The community is secure and safe.

La Fortuna

The property was clean but there was a sewer gas odor in the master bath. We had ages 2 thru 85 in our group. We used every inch of both villas. The location was close to things we wanted to do. Unfortunately the most direct route had the road and it took a while to find after getting to the area. The kitchens are small with no dishwasher. We typically cook most of our meals but ate out more than usually because of the lack of room and pans for larger groups. The pool was nice but went down about 6 inches over the 5 days we were there. Overall, the property accommodated our needs. We really enjoyed exploring the Arenal activities.

Centrally Located; Perfectly Designed

Our stay at the Villa del encanto was everything we need to make our experience the most memorable one. The Villa is an excellent option for two sets of families where everyone can have time by themselves and also meet at the pool to swim or eat meal together near the pool. The villa was tastefully decorated and made wise us of the space. Tip: make use of the bedroom curtains at night as the sun does is bright in the morning. I found the the curtains completely keeps the sun out , enough for me to sleep in a couple of hours later. The. Villa is centrally located so we could do our activities (hikes, white water rafting , chocolate/coffee tours, thermal spa and zip lining) and come back to rest at mid-day before doing another activity. I was impressed with how they have everything we needed to make our stay a home away from home. The place was immaculate and the grounds well maintained. We made use of the pool and was close enough to the town center to try some of the local restaurants. Highly recommend the place and we would stay there again if we come back to La Fortuna. I LOVED the view of the volcano, that in itself is worth the stay!

Excelente y hermoso lugar

La propiedad es tal como se ve en las fotos, nos parecio perfecta para nuestro grupo, las camas son muy comodas, el lugar hermoso. La entrada esta un poco dificil de conseguir, la direccion proporcionada por el GPS nos lleva a la parte de atras de la casa por una calle sin salida, como yo no tenia internet se me hizo dificil contactar al encargado, luego de un buen rato miramos por un camino pequeño y nos percatamos que allí estaba la entreda de la propiedad. Sugiero indicaciones con nombres de lugares cercano para dejarse llevar. Por lo demás recomiendo el lugar

My wife and I are originally from Puerto Rico but have lived our lives along the North East Coast of the United States. While we enjoy the seasons, it is always nice to have an escape from the cold and the city life.

With our children grown, we began looking for a place with warmer weather where we could unwind and reset. We came to Costa Rica because of its reputation and recommendations from relatives who had already experienced the beauty and hospitality of Costa Rica.

On the very first trip we were captivated by the country, the people, and the culture. Especially the beautiful area around the Arenal Volcano. We decided then and there to invest in our bit of the Pura Vida!

Here we can come to break away and relax. On the days we feel adventurous, we can go explore the mountains, rivers, and rain forest or on the lazy days, relax by the pool, go to one of the many thermal springs, or treat ourselves to a spa day. Everything is just a short drive or taxi ride away.

Since we cannot be here all year, we want to open up our homes for others to come and be able to experience this enchanting place.

This is as close to perfection on Earth that we could find. La Fortuna is located in the mountainous area of the Arenal Volcano. It has rivers and a lake and the average temperature hovers around 70 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit (21 to 26 degrees Celsius) most of the year, which makes it a unique spot to connect with nature and explore more than 200 ecotourism activities. It also has a wide-variety of restaurants in the center of town, which is only a few minutes away from the property.

If this not enough, Costa Rica is a stable and safe country that welcomes tourists from all over the world. The people are very friendly and make you feel at home right away. In my opinion, their commitment to their residents quality of life and resource and nature conservation are their best attributes.
