Close to Traverse City, many two track trails, snowmobile trails, many places to launch kayaks or a boat. The cabin has a full kitchen and living room. There is a ring for a fire. Nice deck in the back.

The Host KimMe is AMAZING!Very accommodating and ready to help with any issues that may arise.I saw a comment about well water, the cabin had a water container with filter in the fridge and it was fine. We were only a few minutes away from family. We came up to visit family. We are a family of 7 and it seemed very spacious for us. We would book again!
Very disappointed that owner charged me an extra $60 to replace approx 12" piece of floor molding that cracked simply by moving the kitchen chair to get up from table - it certainly was not an intentional or careless action that resulted in the damage (I wasn't even sure that it had not been cracked prior to our stay). Owner also accused us of climbing over a wire fence - we are 54 and 57 years old and would never consider such an action especially when the other side of the fence was steep drop off down to the river.
Rustic cabin - very clean!! I just wish the stairs to the lake were operational- although we did know before we couldn’t use them - it would have been nice see more of the lake. Nice stay cute little cabin!
This property is clean, comfortable and fully equipped. The only downside to our experience was that the chairs outside on the back patio were broken or uncomfortable to sit on. The cloth covering the picnic table was worn and came off on your arms or clothing. Also, there is road noise from RT. 37. which if you were looking for a quiet river experience in the woods that isn't the case. Also, as the owner states, there is no access to the river from the cabin and when the leaves are out it is hard to even see the river. Overall, it is a good value for the price.

Decent location for travel to Traverse City
The access to the river was wired shut and very overgrown, so there was no kayaking. The air conditioning was a small square tower type fan, not a real A/C unit so the house was a bit too hot for sleeping.
We stayed for four days in July. It is a lovely little cabin. The cabin is easy to find. Our toddler loves the bunk beds, and the table overlooking the river. The hostess is excellent.
Check in was easy, the cabin was very clean, the kitchen was thoughtfully stocked with all the necessities for preparing/cooking meals. We’ll probably book this one again 😊
The check in process was convenient and the cabin suited our needs for one night. The cabin was well stocked with anything we might need and there was plenty of room in the front to walk our dogs.

Nice and spacious, well stocked.easy to find geographically.
Coffee maker leaked and needs replaced. I washed windows, they were that bad!
Just off the beaten track with a super view and amenities
Easy to find and check in. Had everything we needed to have a cozy Spring weekend. Just the right amount of space. No traffic on the short road and easy access to the river, Hodenpyl Dam, and lots of National Forest trails. Short jump to Mesick for groceries and gas was very convenient. Felt very safe and the price fit our family budget nicely. Thank you, KimMe!
We were there just for the night after a cold, windy and wet color tour. The property was clean and stocked with unexpected items. I had forgotten butter for breakfast, but there was a suitable alternative in the cupboard. We ended up playing one of the many games and putting a puzzle together.
Quaint little place to stay near Traverse city. The house was clean and well stocked with extra blankets, pillows and movies for a quiet evening. It is right on the river but it’s about a 25ft drop down to the water.
