Betsie River offers great summer canoeing, kayaking, with spring and fall Salmon and Steelhead runs.
Crystal Mt. offers downhill skiing, two 18 hole golf courses, pools, spa, an Alpine Coaster and more.
There are more than 300 miles of snowmobile trails minutes from the cabin.

Golf: Crystal Mt. has two outstanding 18 hole golf courses just 1 mile from the cabin.
Many other great courses are with a 20 minute drive.

Fishing: The Betsie River has a great Salmon and Steelhead run in the Spring and fall and one of the best places to fishing them is the hole right in front of the cabin.
Twenty minutes away Frankfort offers pier fishing in Lake Michigan as well as charter boat fishing and a beautiful sandy beach.
There are also many smaller lakes to fish within a few minutes drive.


Crystal Mt. Resort: Crystal Mt. Resort was rated top family resort in the Midwest.
It offers a good variety of slopes and terrain parks for skiing and snowboarding.
Something for everyone.
The resort also has an indoor, outdoor pool and hot tubs.
The outdoor pool has a water park for the kids.
Crystal also has Michigan's only Alpine Coaster.

This was our third time staying. It’s roomy, charming, super clean & perfectly located for our fishing out of Onekama. Excellent communication & arrival/departure instructions. Loads of condiments are in fridge from other guests or possibly owner. (We just left an unopened package of coffee filters!) Comfy beds/linens. We’ve learned it’s best to get your groceries before arrival, because there isn’t anything close. Grill clean & worked great. Visitors should pack your own shampoo/soap. Thanks for another wonderful stay!

The cabin was very nice and very very quiet and peaceful where it is located. My wife and I brought along our 2 great nephews 10yrs. & 15 yrs old. We enjoyed playing board games that we brought from home and working on a 1000 piece puzzle which we completed. We went out on the hunt for “geocaching” in several areas driving several miles away tracking down our caches. Fun times with great memories made. The last evening we enjoyed the gathering around the fire pit roasting hotdogs and making s’more’s. Thank you Tim for providing nice dry wood for the fire. It was a wonderful experience. Thanks again Tim we highly recommended this cabin.

Nothing beats staying in a beautiful log cabin for a family ski getaway. The cabin was charming and tucked away in a very private setting along the Betsie River. The bedroom layout worked perfectly for two families, and there was plenty of space for everyone. The host was responsive and incredibly kind—when we accidentally left an item behind, they went out of their way to help return it. We would absolutely love to stay here again.

Convenient cabin, great for families

We used this cabin as a base to explore Sleeping Bear Dunes and Traverse City. It's a great place for families, as there is ample room for everyone.
