2br / 2 bath Isla del Sol updated condo - beautiful golf and sunset views!!
Two-bedroom, two full bathroom condo in Vista Verde East of Isla del Sol. 2.5 miles from Pass-a-grille and St Pete beach.
Centrally located 30 minutes from St Pete-Clearwater airport, 35 from Tampa Intl and 45 minutes from Sarasota SRQ. Downtown St Petersburg is 15 minutes away and Tampa 35 minutes. Just over 90 minutes to Disney and Universal Orlando. (all drive times heavily dependent on traffic of course).
Second/top floor unit with high vaulted ceilings. Fully renovated kitchen with new cabinets and quartz countertops. New vinyl plank flooring in kitchen, living room and bathroom areas, all with newer painted walls. Huge living room sofa with ceiling fan and large screen TV. Eat-in kitchen nook with table for 4; the kitchen is well stocked for preparing and enjoying simple meals at home. Linens, towels, basic supplies included - just show up and enjoy! Balcony with golf course and sunset views. The balcony overlooks a par-3 green, which makes for interesting golf course viewing (occasionally need to duck and cover! but not often). We love that our windows face mostly north/south and we get just the right amount of sunshine and natural light without overly heating up the place. Reserved parking spot. In-unit washer and dryer. Community pool and jacuzzi less than 5-minute walk. Beautiful grounds with extensive walking paths.
Main bedroom has a king bed, Second bedroom has two XL twin beds. Each has a bathroom. Master bath has double sinks, a toilet, and tub/shower. Second bathroom has sink/vanity, toilet, and standing shower.
Wifi included throughout the unit, and cable television available on living room and 2nd bedroom televisions. Not a gated community but there is 24-hour security throughout the complex.
Minimum 1 week (required by condo association policies), maximum 1 month rental period allowed. Monthly rentals are not accepted January to March... multi-month rentals are not accepted at this time. My VRBO rate is inclusive of a $150 guest application fee I pay to property management. Application will be required including your name, home address, and vehicle information, and you must follow rules about parking / parking passes and park only in designated spot. There is no public parking in this complex, no oversize vehicles, no boat or trailer parking, and renters are allowed only one parking pass / one vehicle.
We prefer to limit our rentals to party of 4 maximum. We will consider parties of 5 to 6 on a case by case basis, and under no circumstances are more than 6 guests allowed at any time. ALL guests must be registered at time of booking, and additional visitors for even part of your stay are not permitted. This unit is not suitable for renters that want to host additional guests or parties during the stay. We consider our unit to be child-friendly, but not child-proofed, we highly recommend guests take any necessary additional precautions upon arrival to ensure safety of children.
RULES AND REGULATIONS - This is a quiet complex with many full-time residents. Vacationers and renters are welcomed, however, it's important to know the rules and expectations to ensure this property meets your expectations and to avoid problems during your stay:
Renters are not allowed pets.
NO SMOKING inside, outside, or in parking area of our condo please. This is not a smoker-friendly complex. Standing outside the buildings or inside your car to smoke will not be allowed.
The golf course provides a beautiful setting, but rental of our unit does not come with access to play or use the golf course. Walking the golf course, even after hours, is not generally permitted.
The following rules apply to use of the community pool:
- No holding or reserving chairs or tables
- No rafts or pool toys allowed ('noodles' and small flotation items are usually ok)
- Pool hours are generally dawn to dusk but are subject to change due to weather and other factors
- Music not allowed except in earbuds/headphones
- Smoking / vaping strictly prohibited
- Minors must be accompanied by an adult
- No coolers, glass, or food allowed. All drinks must remain 4 feet away from edges of pool.
This is a fun, affordable, well updated, and clean vacation property home. This is NOT a resort, not a hotel, and not an investment property churning out weekly revenue. My towels don't match and my sheets and pillowcases don't always perfectly fit the room decor, but they're clean and comfortable. If you demand perfection in everything about the place you stay, I would be happy for you to bypass this property. Life is too short to deal with people who cannot be satisfied. I expect my guests to treat me like a trusted friend, and I do likewise. I am an owner, and you are my guest... I am not your employee. I only do about 10 - 12 rentals a year, the rest of the calendar time I keep blocked off for personal/friends use. Feel free to reach out on availability for certain weeks you are interested in, as they may come available. Note that because of our frequent personal use of the condo, we don't do monthly rentals during peak Jan-Mar months. We are possibly open to monthly rental other times of the year. Also note that as the owners use the condo frequently, we have certain clothing, food (condiments and frozen, mostly), and other personal items may be present during your stay. We provide ample storage for your personal items, clothing etc. both in closets and drawers and we are simply noting this here so it is not a surprise to our guests.
If you stay here and enjoy it, I'm happy to offer discounts and preferred dates to my 'regulars' that treat the place as if it were their own.
Note about summer and high temperature times of year - this is a 2nd (top) floor condo with high vaulted ceilings. Our air conditioner is perfectly sufficient for cooling a unit of this size, but if you expect to run the AC to low temperature, this might not be the place for you during very hot times of year. I have never had complaints about the cooling, but I felt I should point this out.

We are empty nesters that raised our kids in Dayton Ohio. We lived in the St Petersburg area all the way back in the early 1990's and were thrilled to find a place to buy in Isla Del Sol in 2018!

We use this property ourselves frequently - at least a few days a month. It is truly our home away from home and we hope that shows when you stay here!
What makes this property unique
We love the walking paths throughout the complex, and enjoy walking the nearby Tierra Verde and St Pete Beach bridges. You can even walk to the beach! The views from the balcony at sunrise and sunset both are extraordinary and we love how well the grounds in this complex are maintained. We only rent typically 10 or 12 times a year and we love to communicate details and share information to help our guests have a problem-free, wonderful stay.
