Siblings getting together.

We enjoyed the quietness. We did play music and spent more time out on the porch. My brother has never been to the mountains and he was very impressed. We would definitely do this again.

Cabin stay

My friends and I had an excellent time in this cabin. Especially love the deck. I wish I was able to clean the counters better. I wasn’t able to get to cleaning materials. I definitely recommend this property.

Perfect small family cabin

We looked at hundreds of cabins, we wanted a place that felt like a cabin & home away from home, where each of our kids had their own room, and we wanted great views. This cabin checked all of our boxes. Our kids loved they each had their own balcony, and space. Check in was super easy, the cabin was beautiful, and clean on check in. Plenty of seating areas outside on the porch, we loved the little fire pit but unfortunately was too warm for us to have a fire. We spent every morning on the patio with our coffee, and after being in town all day spent the evenings there as well. The cabin is secluded, but close enough to Sevierville, Pigeon forge and Gatlinburg to either do the tourist attractions or the national park. Other reviews have mentioned the steep driveway- it is a little steep, but I feel that’s subjective. It’s not awful and if you want Mountain Views you’ll have to go up hills. We also saw zero stink bugs or any other bugs inside the cabin. My only criticisms of this cabin are pretty basic-The front loading washing machine needs to be cleaned- it seems the door stays shut mostly which can make for a musty/mildew scent and effect the rubber on the seal The dishwasher and filter need a good cleaning. Not a con, but warning of sorts- the fan in the primary bedroom does have a loud humming noise. No bother to us, but if you’re sensitive to noise maybe bring ear plugs. Otherwise it’s basically a white noise machine.
The view from the side porch where we enjoyed our morning coffee.

Quick Visit

We were in town for a quick business transaction and decided to stay a couple of nights. We hit Dollywood one day and the Mountains the next. It was great after the crowds to come back to the house and relax in the quiet after only a quick drive!

Just ok

The house appeared to be clean at first sight but it needs some deep cleaning. Cobwebs, dust in crevices and stink bugs were a problem. The water was horrible and should be disclosed in the details of the rental. It was hard to bathe with the water smelling like it did. The house itself is cute and a great location but the water was a big issue. The beds and furniture were comfortable. I would stay again if it weren’t for the water issue.

Christmas in the mountains

This was a special gathering for our family. We had originally booked a cabin in the mountains to celebrate a family Christmas in 2022. However, we were not able to make the trip due to a medical emergency for my husband. As a family, we booked a different cabin and were able to celebrate Christmas in the mountains at this lovely cabin. It was perfect for our family and we had a most memorable and cherished Christmas holiday.

The cabin was fairly secluded, one visible neighbor but still private. Excellent location. Far enough away from the crowds and traffic on Sevierville and Pigeon Forge, but close enough to enjoy the things they have to offer. We went with our daughter, son-in-law, and grandson. Perfect for the long weekend with the family

Easter

This is a very nice property that is close to attractions and shopping. The property has good parking and is a nice size for a family of six. There are a few adjustments that need to be addressed when it comes to cleanliness, but not enough to not book this cabin. We enjoyed our trip and it was great to not have to drive really far up into the mountains. Overall this is a nice cabin to stay in, if and when the cleanliness is taken care of. Just a heads up this cabin has well water and it has a really strong smell that is not pleasant at all, but it is do able.

Beautiful, cozy cabin - conveniently located!

Our family had a great stay at this mountain cabin! It is so close to everything you could want to do in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg, but secluded enough that you feel removed from all the hustle and bustle. It has a huge porch with plenty of seating for the whole family and a grill. The view is amazing and so relaxing! We didn't use the fire pit, but I could see us staying here again end enjoying some s'mores at night. The kitchen is nicely appointed with a lot of counter space. Our kids enjoyed the large TV in the living room with the gas fireplace and the Wii upstairs. The cabin was very clean with complimentary coffee and shampoo/conditioner/soap. A great place for a relaxing getaway!

Pick somewhere else

The water at this place tastes, and smells bad, and the electricity in areas of the house goes out for no apparent reason. Also found somebody’s dirty socks, tons of dirt, grime, and old food under the couch while looking for the tv remote. Yuck

Disappointed

My family did not have the best experience with this cabin. It wasn't cleaned properly. Dust all around, crumps in the bunk bed sheets, cobwebs everywhere, dead bugs in every corner, hair & scum in tub/ in drain, porch lights did not work, grill caked in grease (could not use without starting a fire), no coffee filters/ foil/ Tupperware, terrible toilet paper. Water felt oily ?? I could honestly go on. On day 4 we were locked out of our cabin with our small children due to the key lock battery being dead. Was very inconvenient considering the amount we spent for this stay.

Excellent Cabin in the Smokies

We loved everything about this cabin. The first thing you see is a cozy firepit with adirondack chairs. It was too hot for a fire but I imagine the flickering flames and the warm glow on faces as they roast marshmallows and make lasting memories. Next is the wrap around porch with a cheery picnic table set beneath soft string light bulbs, a porch swing (who doesn't love a porch swing) and several adirondack chairs. Around the corner is a sleek grill station. Trees and greenery wrap the space & as dusk falls, string lights hum to life. Stepping through the front door you're instantly enveloped in the warm embrace of an open-concept heart of the home-the kitchen, dining area and great room seamlessly flowing into one another & anchored by a fireplace that is visible from all. Just off the main hallway, a thoughtfully designed half bath doubles as a laundry nook complete with a full-sized washer & dryer. It's a practical & space-saving touch-ideal for quick loads. The master suite is truly a retreat within the home-spacious, calming and thoughtfully planned with a door access to the porch. It features a generous walk-in closet & for families with young children there is a playyard available. The master bath continues the theme of comfort and function with a large walk-in shower perfect for getting energized in the morning. Upstairs just to the left you'll find a charming bedroom designed with both fun & function in mind. It features a bunk bed setup with a full size mattress on bottom & a twin on top-perfect for kids, cousins or even an extra guest or two. What makes this room special is the access to a private balcony. Tucked neatly in the closet is a fold-out cot, perfect for extra bedding when needed. Just to the right at the top of the stairs you'll find the third bedroom-an inviting space with a makeup vanity perfect for getting ready for the day. Like the bunkroom across the hass, this bedroom also offers access to a private balcony-a quiet place for an early riser to enjoy the morning sun with a cup of coffee or a quiet moment under the stars. Between the two bedrooms sits a full bathroom thoughtfully placed for easy access & shared convenience. Tucked away in a peaceful, hooded setting Bear Essentials is the perfect escape for anyone looking to unplug and unwind for a few day. This cabin offers a true sense of "off the grid" relaxation without being too far from the action. Just 7 miles from Pigeon Forge & 13 iles from Gatlinburg, where there is quick access to all the dining, shopping & entertainment your heart desires-from Dollywood thrills to scenic Mountain trails. This was a perfect family getaway for us. I give Bear Essentials a 10/10 experience.

2* but could be a 5

Downed logs in the driveway and a dead battery in the keypad lock upon arrival took away the happiness of the beauty of this cabin before it could even be appreciated. *During dinner we had stink bugs swarming and started to notice several dead one on the floor throughout the cabin. *The water treatment really needs to be looked over as it smells terribly! (we bought bottled water to drink, cook and brush our teeth with) I cannot put a sugar coat on it, it smelled worse than what we were flushing down! *The livingroom light and fan as well as majority of outdoor lights were non functional. * Due to a lost item we had to lift the couch and loveseat and found the lost item amongst plenty of trash and dust. * One of the shutters in the Master bedroom does not open and close properly allowing (if you had neighbors like ours in and out all night) lights to shine in while trying to sleep. * The rental management (VACASA) contacted me 24 hours (after I had checked out through their app) asking how my stay was going and I notified them that I had only booked for the two nights that we stayed and they responded with I would still be charged for the additional days as they were nonrefundable. I text them back with my receipt to which someone apologized for their colleagues mistake.
