Mark & Callie are wonderful hosts. The farm is a treasure. The barn is very rustic but welcoming. It was perfect for our family's Christmas gathering. Our only small issue was dead flies in the bedrooms (but, it is a barn on a farm!).Overall we enjoyed every minute,
We had the most wonderful weekend here. Plenty of space for our group of 13, including 5 children and all of just wishing for one more day. Mark and Callie were great hosts, going above and beyond to make our stay so comfortable and memorable. Meeting the farm animals and exploring the property was so much fun.
We literally had deer eating grass outside our numerous windows while we had our morning coffee... Beautiful stay and amazing hospitality. Thanks for a memorable stay. Kevin
This was a wonderful place to stay for a friend weekend. It's got plenty of social space to do a variety of activities but still all be together! Property is beautifully maintained and decorated. Strongly recommend - we hope to stay again in the future!
We had an incredible stay at this property! The barn and farm provided such a unique backdrop for our weekend. We enjoyed the beautiful pool and visiting with the animals. Mark and Callie were so helpful and welcoming and were great hosts. We can not wait to come back!
The property was beautiful! We enjoyed being able to walk through the woods and to the river, seeing the farm animals, and just enjoying the peace. Our host was very friendly and accommodating. He stopped in when we arrived to show us a map of the property, and give us some history. We were gather
This home and property was absolute perfection. We stayed here as a family of 7 people. The owners are by far some of the most lovely people I have ever met in my life. Not only will we be back, I wish I could move here! Don’t hesitate booking this place, you will LOVE it!
This was the perfect location and place for our large family get-together. All the nieces and nephews absolutely loved the creek, pool, and baby goats. The adults loved having activities for the kiddos so we could chat and watch the awe and wonder on the kid’s faces. We loved the fresh flowers and veggies too. Call and Nark were great hosts and we really enjoyed getting to know them. We would come back again in a heartbrat.
What an amazing stay with family. We were a party with 8 adults and 2 teens. The barn fit our needs perfectly. The kitchen island was where we hung out most. It was big enough for us all. The barn was well appointed with comfortable beds and fit our needs perfectly. Mark and Cali were wonderful hosts showing us around the farm. The baby goats and calf were endlessly entertaining. We can’t thank them enough for giving us an amazing time together
Mark and Callie were incredible hosts. It rained most of the time that we were there, but there was still plenty to do. We enjoyed the extensive vegetable and flower garden, and the kids loved to help feed all the animals. But their favorite part was fishing in the creek. Be prepared to be “cut off” as we had no cell service or wifi during our stay, due to the location. Our family definitely made memories that will last a lifetime.
We had a wonderful time! The kids had a blast learning about farm life
The hosts were helpful generous, accommodating and had lots of great info to share. The kifs got to help collect eggs, feed lambs, help get animals back to barn at night. Wow! Where else can you get an experience like that!
Tons of wonderful memories!
Would definitely go back again!
Thank you Mark and Callie and Michael!
Kairos Farm is one of the most memorable places we have ever stayed. Mark & Callie are they incredible hosts with a warm spirited nature and care for their guests.
The barn/house and property served our family reunion at a time of healing and with the beautiful surrounding farmland, farm animals, sounds of nature and these wonderful hosts, our hearts were refilled with promise again.
The space inside the old structure was clean, roomy and perfect for our family gathering. An incredible kitchen and large dining table served all our meals needs just right. When it came time for relaxing to music or playing pool, the upstairs 'game-room' was a fun place to go. All of our personal favorites though was walking the trails of the property and seeing, hearing, smelling the hand of creation in motion.
The sleeping arrangements we great, with four beautiful rooms with amazing beds plus bunk beds for those adult children in our family.
You'll never find a better place than this and we were so fortunate to have the opportunity to be there!!
Thank you Mark and Callie - God Bless You both for all you do and who you are!!!
We had a great time at the barn. A total of 10 of us stayed aged 70+ down to 12. Callie and Mark and their kids were wonderful hosts. Communication was great. Getting up close to the farm animals was a lot of fun. The kitchen was stocked sufficiently. There were plenty of places for everyone to sleep, and the beds were comfortable. We all enjoyed playing pool and ping pong, as well as board games at the dining room table. There was plenty of seating for meals. The provided linens were great and plentiful.
The only "complaints" (if you want to even call them that) a future renter may want to be aware of are: there is not a bathroom that does not require stairs (which can be an problem if someone in your group has mobility issues), the rec area upstairs only has one three-person couch and a comfy chair so if you have a large group there is not really comfortable seating (other than dining chairs) for something like a movie night, and finally, the electical set up in the kitchen was a little wonky but we figured it out. Again, not exactly complaints but things renters may want to know.
Overall, we had a wonderful time at this fun and unique property!
Our Story Since the beginning of our relationship, our hearts longed for life on a farm. But that longing was just a dream for many years. In 1990 we had the privilege of founding Kensington Church with two other couples, and our mission as Arts Directors for 28 years was creating meaningful, life changing moments for those who attended.
In 2019 our journey led us from Kensington to a 30-acre farm in Metamora, MI. We absolutely love it here! Life on the farm has increased our appreciation for nature and has given us many opportunities to share its simplistic beauty with others.
“Kairos Farm” We’re often asked about the name of our farm. “Kairos" is one of two Greek words for time. "Chronos", the other, is linear or chronological time. Kairos is a “special moment in time”. When noticed, these moments, big or small, invite us to reflect and even carry the potential for positive change. But in our busy lives they are really easy to miss. Our dream at Kairos Farm is to help people take a breath and slow down enough to experience these Kairos Moments available to us each and every day.
Kairos Farm’s Mission is “Creating moments that bring you life!”.

What makes this property unique
Kairos Farm is a beautiful place, easy to get to, but certainly off the beaten path. The original barn where you will stay, built in 1860, offers a rare opportunity to live in a space with the warmth and history of hand crafted beams and rafters and a cozy wood burning stove mixed with comfy beds, pool and ping-pong, large gathering areas, and views of Highland cows, sheep and goats grazing on the hills outside your windows. The heated in-ground pool has magnificent views and the flower and vegetable gardens, trails, and river give you the chance to slow down and breathe in nature. There is no city noise. At night you can actually hear nothing...(accept a few night creatures singing). Rustic Elegance, abundant wildlife, friendly farm animals, organic gardens, and some pretty nice hosts!
