In the country home on 3.5 wooded acres in the Dryden/ Metamora MI area. Located 15 minutes from Oxford, Lapeer, Almont, and Imlay City. Close to various wedding, dog and horse show venues....golf courses and hunt clubs too! Minutes away from the Historic White Horse Inn and downtown Metamora. Greg's of Metamora is also just minutes away with the best ribs and pizza in town or enjoy dinner on Lake Nepessing at The Lake Inn. After dinner you can visit Lake Nepessing Golfland. They offer a driving range, putt-putt golf and Go-karts. They also have ice cream to top off your perfect evening. Hiking more your speed? Check out Seven Ponds Nature Center in Dryden. Hiking trails and nature galore!

Home offers 2 bedrooms/ 1 bath with an auxiliary room adjoining the Master bedroom. Futon in the auxiliary room available for an additional guest or plenty of room for dog crates if needed. Large Master bedroom has 1 queen bed, sitting area and T.V. Second bedroom has 1 full size bed and dedicated work space. Sofa can also accommodate one guest. Fully equipped kitchen, Wi-fi, smart T.V., and plenty of parking.

Enjoy the great outdoors from the patio and three decks surrounded by nature. The peaceful setting allows you quiet mornings sipping coffee and evenings by the fire pit. Patio furniture and a gas grill complete the outdoor experience.

Really a two bedroom, the third "bedroom" is in the closet area off the main bedroom, no door, no privacy. They could use an exhaust fan for the bathroom. But it suited us, and was clean, I would go back if I was in that area again. I wanted to check in about 2 hours early (on Thurs Nov 13), and check out 4 hours late (Sun Nov 16), and the owner charged a fee for it. I have a short term rental, and we don't do that, so it seems like a money grab to me.But otherwise, it was clean and as advertised.

Great home away from home

House is well stocked with everything you need and perfect location. It is so nice in the morning to drink coffee and watch all of the deer graze in the backyard. Great yard for our dogs to run around in as well! Look forward to staying again soon!

This is a well appointed home in a beautiful wooded area. It was nicely decorated and comfortable. We were very busy during our stay so we spent minimal time in the home. We would have loved to spend some time in the beautiful back yard!

Just a plywood trailer in the middle of nowhere

Don’t get me wrong, it’s definitely a roof over your head but not even close to 3 bedrooms like the listing says. They just take pics at a certain angle to make it seem like there’s 3 rooms. Also I’ve seen a lot of things in my life but never painted plywood walls/ceiling and trim just about everywhere. And could have atleast put the flooring under the door casings so years of dust doesn’t build up in the holes. Not to mention the existing water damage in the kitchen that just has 6layers of paint over it isn’t actually fixed. Overall, it was a decent place to stay but just needs some work on the fine details to represent the actual listing.

Leland, In your initial inquiry you stated there would be four guests, but you made the reservation for one. You did remedy this when informed that there would only be accomodations for one guest. After you and your crew stayed for a week, you booked for a second week since your crew had not completed the tile work you were contracted to do while in town. You were provided with a clean, safe, and comfortable environment in which to stay. If this was not the case, then it is unclear as to why you chose to book for a second week and inquired about staying for a third. During the second week, because you ran out of tile, you left a day early. Using bullying tactics via text messages, you demanded a free stay during the third week due to this early departure. Due to insurance purposes, this would not be possible since there would not be any insurance coverage that is required from the guest. There are cancellation policies and house rules for a reason. Bullying the host is unacceptable.

Don’t stay here!

The whole house reeked of moth balls, found dead roaches in the house as well. House is way over priced. Owner basically stalks the house while you are there. Cornered my daughter while she was getting in her car to leave, demanding her pay additional guest fees, which I was unaware of. I told her I’d gladly pay the additional fees. It’s no problem. Then came out to my car while I was trying to leave, was extremely passive aggressive, wanted to tell me all about how she gets screwed over by tenants, I told her I’d pay the fees, she would not let us leave. I was very close to calling the police, it was the worst experience I’d ever have, I’d definitely never recommend this place to anyone!

Carrie, When booking with Vrbo, there are house rules, fees, and conditions that you are agreeing to with your reservation. House rules state that there are extra guest fees for any reservation over 2 guests. You were approached about the number of people in the house, due to the fact that your reservation was for two guests, when you actually had five. Accomodations facilitate the number of guests that are booked. It is also a house rule that check-out time is before 11:00 A.M. It was after 11:00 A.M. and you had not left the house. As the property owner, I do have a right to be on the premises, for some reason, you perceived this as " stalking". We do need guests to check-out in a timely manner to prepare for the next reservation. When extra guests stay that are not accounted for, more laundry and cleaning time is required. We are premiere hosts and go through great measures to make sure the home is clean and well maintained. Premiere host status is only achieved through providing a pleasant stay for our guests. Previous guests have given positive reviews. We only ask that guests be considerate of the neighbors and treat the home and it's furnishings with respect. Vrbo hosts, double check that the correct number of guests are accounted for in your reservations. For most guests that are honest, this will not be an issue, but there are others that will be defensive and combative when caught being deceitful.

Not as advertised in description

This property description is not as advertised. While it may be on 3.5 acres the property description did not make you aware that there is a poorly kept long term rental directly next door with patrons that pull in all hours of night with extremely loud mufflers. The kitchen ceiling is in complete disrepair and bowing, cracked and mold starting to grow on one of the walls by upper cabinet which led to the smell in the home. Sink faucet needs to be replaced and sink drains had remnants of either past guests or fecal material from mice. It is a single wide 1970’s trailer. Electric flickered every time furnace came on. Exhaust fan in bathroom was inoperable. Frozen food was left in refrigerator from past guests and half empty bottles of shampoo and body wash in shower. It is not a three bedroom unit. Door handles not installed properly. All light switches were covered in grime. Floor is peeling and some areas were very spongy while Formica that was glued on countertops was separating from countertops. Before arriving we had considered spending one more night but was thankful it had been reserved after arriving and viewing the residence. We have stayed in several vrbo’s in the past and were completely satisfied by the description presented online. This however was extremely deceiving and we would not recommend it to others.

Deborah, your less than favorable review of the home is unwarranted. You were inconsiderate with your last minute requests, inability to follow house rules, and an impolite attitude when we first met. These are all red flags to us, as well as future hosts. We have hosted many guests who appreciated our home being open to them and what it had to offer. They also respected the home and it's furnishings. You failed to mention you had no problem consuming the snacks and drinks available to our guests. As a courtesy, please wash your hands after eating Cheetos and keep pets off the furniture, as your dogs left stains as well. The frozen food, snacks, drinks, shampoo and soap are all complimentary and a convenience to our guests, should they forget their own. The home is clearly described as a two bedroom. Perhaps, you did not read the description. You seemed disgruntled when you were unable to stay another night. The home was already booked for that evening, and the following one, when you made your reservation. Again, an oversight on your part. There were no complaints from any of the guests immediately following you. As stated earlier, your unfavorable review is unwarranted. We WILL NOT recommend you to other hosts.
