Elegant Downtown 'Sunshine Cottage'

This cozy, newly renovated, cottage is located in a quiet, established neighborhood. The house has large common areas to enjoy time together. Later you can retreat and relax in your own space. 2 private bedrooms with their own bathroom. Master bedroom has queen bed, Second bedroom, full size. Master bedroom has attached bathroom. Both baths have spa tubs. Phone chargers next to beds. Enjoy a bottle of wine on us and relax in the back yard either under the pergola or next to the in-ground fire pit. Backyard is totally private. Garage and shed face the yard.

Just a short walk to sweet downtown where you can enjoy our famous “Art on the Corner”. One of the nation's first sidewalk sculpture exhibits, including the Wells Fargo “Buffalo” made of car bumpers. Check the schedule at the Avalon Theatre on Main Street. It was built in the 1920s for performing arts & independent film screenings. It still offers up top name concerts and movies. And just a few minutes’ drive you can visit the Butterfly Pavilion at Las Colonias Park where you can catch a concert at the amphitheater. Take a walk on the River Front Park and trail. There you can rent equipment to float down the Colorado River or paddle board. If you enjoy wine tasting visit the Palisade area. Home to 30+ wineries. You can also take a bicycle tour through them.

The ‘National Monument’, just outside of town, is a mountain bikers heaven with hundreds of miles of world-class mountain biking trails. The yearly ‘Tour of the Moon’ is one of the premier road cycling events in the western United States.

Summertime offers art walks, festivals, farmers market, outdoor restaurants, antique stores and more. Each year Colorado has a "Color Weekend". This is when the tree leaves are at their maxim color. Ski at our local ski area, Powderhorn. Located on the Grand Mesa....world’s largest flat top mountain. Telluride, Aspen and Vail are each only a 2 hour drive.

Close to CMU as well as St. Mary’s and VA hospitals. Walk to Lincoln Park and play golf. Junction boasts 260 sunny days a year and mild winters.

Visit to Grant Junction

This is an awesome place and one that we definitely have on our radar for a future visit. Clean, well appointed, nice kitchen and cute dining area. Loved the sitting area in the back yard - nicely landscaped and decorated. Great location with easy access to town and Colorado National Monument. All in all, a very nice stay. The ONLY reason for the communication ding was that I would have liked to have a phone number where I could have reached out directly. If we would have had a problem with access to the house, we would have had no way to get in touch with the owner short of finding a cafe with internet access where we could have used a laptop for VRBO access. Other than that very small item, the place was perfect!

Adorable Cottage, Relaxing Stay!

Sunshine Cottage was just perfect for our two couples, as a getaway for our visit to Grand Junction and Colorado National Monument! The house has great decorating touches and is well stocked and nicely furnished, with an easy -to -use kitchen and a great backyard area with a pergola and fire pit. We used both on the evenings we spent there, as we sipped our wine (Jana leaves some for guests) after enjoying fabulous hikes through the area. Jana was a wonderfully communicative and responsive hostess, too. I highly recommend Sunshine Cottage for your next vacation in the area!

Cozy and comfortable

We visited Grand Junction to snowboard nearby. We were immediately impressed by the property. It’s very clean and well laid out. We enjoyed a quick walk to downtown every evening, the location is great. We would definitely stay again, Jana was a great host.

Perfect getaway to visit our college girl

This place was incredible! From the perfect location to downtown and the university. It was so clean and beautifully decorated through out! The kitchen was perfect to do some home cooking for our college student, and we even did s’mores in the fire pit in the back yard! Beds were cozy and comfortable! The owners were so sweet and always we always got quick responses! This is a gem of house to stay at in Grand Junction!

Our stay here was fabulous! The house was so quaint, cozy and had everything we needed. It was very close to downtown and accessibility to everything. We didn’t need to contact Jana because everything was provided before arrival and we had no issues. The neighbor was also very kind and friendly. We will definitely look to stay here again if we venture back to this area!!

Outstanding rental

This rental had everything we needed and more. The place was clean, beds were very comfortable and the backyard was so nice with a pergola and a fire pit, that we used one night. The rental is located in a nice neighborhood and centrally located to town. We highly recommend this rental.

Long weekend stay

What a neat house! The 2 rooms amd 2 bathrooms offered enough space for me and my husband and our mom who traveled with us. It was nice and cool inside the house, comfortable with really nice beds and towels. There were plenty of dishes for our crew of 3 making breakfast. This is a comfortable home base!

Perfect Gem!

This house is perfect! Amazingly well appointed and decorated, super clean, comfortable beds, in a wonderful neighborhood full of older, charming homes! Super well air conditioned and the kitchen had Everything! Wish I could have stayed longer! Super back yard as well with two seating areas and a grass area. Perfection.

Great House in a Perfect Location

The house was described perfectly and had everything that we needed. Our group of four enjoyed our stay. The house is close to everything, but far enough away so you don't feel like your in the middle of the town. The backyard is really cute and we enjoyed a night out on the patio.

Jana was so awesome to work with. We had a few hiccups trying to get to going on our trip and she was so accommodating. Ultimately we were not able to make to her residence due to some health issues in our family but she was amazing to work with and we will for sure be rebooking the next time we are heading to GJ.

Cutest Bungalow in GJ!

We loved the property the minute we pulled up and walked in! It was incredibly clean, nicely decorated and was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare food to celebrate my daughter’s graduation. The back yard was darling. We really enjoyed hanging out in the back yard. We will be back!
