Elegant Downtown 'Sunshine Cottage'
This cozy, newly renovated, cottage is located in a quiet, established neighborhood. The house has large common areas to enjoy time together. Later you can retreat and relax in your own space. 2 private bedrooms with their own bathroom. Master bedroom has queen bed, Second bedroom, full size. Master bedroom has attached bathroom. Both baths have spa tubs. Phone chargers next to beds. Enjoy a bottle of wine on us and relax in the back yard either under the pergola or next to the in-ground fire pit. Backyard is totally private. Garage and shed face the yard.
Just a short walk to sweet downtown where you can enjoy our famous “Art on the Corner”. One of the nation's first sidewalk sculpture exhibits, including the Wells Fargo “Buffalo” made of car bumpers. Check the schedule at the Avalon Theatre on Main Street. It was built in the 1920s for performing arts & independent film screenings. It still offers up top name concerts and movies. And just a few minutes’ drive you can visit the Butterfly Pavilion at Las Colonias Park where you can catch a concert at the amphitheater. Take a walk on the River Front Park and trail. There you can rent equipment to float down the Colorado River or paddle board. If you enjoy wine tasting visit the Palisade area. Home to 30+ wineries. You can also take a bicycle tour through them.
The ‘National Monument’, just outside of town, is a mountain bikers heaven with hundreds of miles of world-class mountain biking trails. The yearly ‘Tour of the Moon’ is one of the premier road cycling events in the western United States.
Summertime offers art walks, festivals, farmers market, outdoor restaurants, antique stores and more. Each year Colorado has a "Color Weekend". This is when the tree leaves are at their maxim color. Ski at our local ski area, Powderhorn. Located on the Grand Mesa....world’s largest flat top mountain. Telluride, Aspen and Vail are each only a 2 hour drive.
Close to CMU as well as St. Mary’s and VA hospitals. Walk to Lincoln Park and play golf. Junction boasts 260 sunny days a year and mild winters.
