Our stay was wonderful, everything at this property was as described. The lake was gorgeous and perfect for swimming and kayaking! We enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend to anyone interested!
Great place to stay and enjoy lake life. The cabin offered every comfort you would want. We especially enjoyed kayaking. Jason was just a phone call away when we had an issue locating the cabin. Thanks so much!
Only stayed 1 night. But it was perfect for what we needed. The view was amazing! We ordered a walmart delivery to be delivered there. Nice not having to leave for anything. Ordered everything we would need to bbq. Not realizing the house was stocked and didnt need most of what we ordered.
We enjoyed our stay so much! The cabin was perfect & very clean. We had fun on the zip line & kayaks. I will definitely come back. The host communicated everything we needed to know.

Our stay at this precious lake house was brief but memorable. It’s minutes away from Petit Jean State Park, which is where we spent our daytime hours hiking. The property was absolutely as advertised on VRBO. Jason, the property owner, was easily accessible, very friendly, and quick to respond when I sent him messages. There was absolutely everything we needed, less the groceries we brought, and much more. Seriously, when I say much more, I mean much more……plenty of towels, coffee (even Community Dark Roast for the Louisiana girl in me, laundry supplies, you name it, it was there. The sunsets were spectacular. We even spent some time in the lake to cool off. The price was amazing for what we received and I look forward to staying agin in the future.
The host provided everything but food and clothes. 10 minutes from grocery store and right on the lake. Fishing off the dock, kayaking, and swimming were our main attractions. The zipline adds to the fun. 35 mins from the trail to cedar falls. No complaints, had a wonderful time.
My wife and I had a wonderful time and we will suggest this place to our friends and family. If you have T-Mobile and plan to use it to navigate to this lake you will lose coverage. We found out the hard way. Jason is a great host and responds quickly if you have any questions or concerns.

Liked: Check-in, communication
Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
The view of the lake was gorgeous. We loved the lake house itself. However, I did not read the entire listing where it mentions the back lot and amenities are shared with the house next door. As we were unloading, three car loads of people showed up at the house next door with a couple of kids. They ended up taking over the entire back area and when I messaged the owner, he let me know that the amenities in the back yard were shared. Not his fault but mine for not reading. I do wish it was listed somewhere in the VRBO listing in large print that the back area and amenities are shared. We ended up leaving a day early and were disappointed in our stay. We were looking for a quiet and peaceful place.
We stayed at this property since it was close to Petite Jean becuase we wanted to go hiking. It did not disappoint! We spent two days there with plenty to do. The afternoon sunsets on the Lake were some of the best picture captured. I am only giving it a less than perfect listing since the place itself was a little difficult to locate.
This cute little home is just right. Has everything ya need. This will be a return to property for us. The breeze through the windows made for not needing ac the whole weekend. Although it was a wet and soggy weekend we made best. Stores are a bit away so prepare and get what you need.
This is our 2nd year to stay here for spring break. We went to 3 separate state parks, the national forrest, and the Little Rock Zoo...not to mention the afternoons just hanging at the cabin with the zipline and the swing and kayaking around the lake. The house is clean and comfy and Jason makes the whole process so easy!
We only stayed for a night and I wish we were able to stay longer. The house was super clean and smelled amazing. The views were beautiful and the house was well stocked!
Me and my boyfriend stayed here for two nights and this house was super clean and pretty. The fishing was great and kayaking was even better. Definitely will be coming back!!
We truly enjoyed ourselves at Harris Brake. Jason was extremely accommodating. The house was exceptionally clean and VERY well stocked. No emergency runs to Walmart! There was an issue with something and Jason took care of it immediately. Great host. Will definitely return one day to relax.
My 70 year old mom and I stayed for two nights with our dogs! We had the best relaxing time and just let our dogs run. The neighbors and kids and other dogs in the area were all so sweet. Would recommend highly. It was a little cool for using the kayaks, but I would definitely have done it had the weather been warmer!
My girlfriend and I chose to stay here for our 5 year anniversary and it was amazing! We loved the coziness of the cabin and it was fully stocked with anything we could think of. This location was also very clean, inside and out, and helped make this trip that much more enjoyable. Thank you so much Jason for allowing us into this beautiful home! :)
We bought this cabin and renovated it in large part because we fell in love with view. We enjoy spending time on the deck, watching the birds--bald eagles, ospreys, great blue herons, pelicans, etc. My kids love to swim in the lake. My wife and I never miss an opportunity to kayak throughout the lake, especially around the island. Even on a busy holiday, there is maybe 10 boats on the lake; this made us feel comfortable taking our kids out in kayaks.
Why they chose this property
We have tried to make this a perfect family retreat. We own the house next door too. The backyard is huge and shared between the two homes. Feel free to enjoy the 55 foot long zipline! My kids will play on it for an hour straight! There is also a tree swing, tether ball, picnic table, fire pit, about 9 kayaks, a canoe and paddles, dock for swimming, fishing or kayaking.
What makes this property unique
This is a small lake cabin about 750 SF. It is one bedroom, but has two beds and a sleeper sofa. The living room, kitchen and dining area is all open in one large room where regardless of where you are the 15 feet of windows showcases the fantastic view of the lake. The deck runs across the entire back of the cabin and has lots of seating.
