Wedding Weekend

Great place! Wonderful to have 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms! Lots of shopping nearby. Downtown Monroe is cute and downtown Charlotte is only 30-45 min away.

Quiet Place to Stay

We truly enjoyed our stay. Plenty of room for our party of 6. The back porch was nice for waking up and enjoying a cup of coffee. The host was very responsive to any message I sent. We would stay here again.

We had a lovely stay. We came for a family reunion in Monroe and the house was perfect. Very spacious and had everything we needed. Cecil was helpful. Good location and very clean house. Was very happy to stay here. Beds were a bit older but ok. A couple of the doors were coming off the hinges and could be re tightened.We loved the kitchen and family areas and had very spacious backyard.Would recommend to others and stay again.

Weekend lodging

The owner was responsive and helpful. The house was clean, spacious, and everything we needed. It was especially nice having 4 bathrooms. Great place yo stay! Highly recommend.

Oh my gosh, this Vrbo was perfect for my family! We had the opportunity to meet the owner and she is just the sweetest! I have no complaints about our stay. Property was clean and well maintained. I will be booking this property again when I go to Monroe to visit my son. My son also will be recommending this property to other family members and friends that come to visit.

We stayed here with several children. The hosts were responsive via the app & check-in was smooth.The home is on a busy road with constant traffic noise (even at night), noticeable in most rooms, especially from trucks. Light sleepers may want earplugs; caution advised for kids playing out front due to street proximity. Best for adults/small groups; large families may need adjustments for sleeping/bathing. Limited windows make the interior feel gloomy. Outdoor areas have potential: large front porch (no seating, faces road) and backyard with fire pit/lighting (no chairs/firewood). Backyard only partially fenced—note for children. Property records show 3 bedrooms/1 bath, but DIY additions created extras. No construction permits are on file w/ county, giving it a personal labor-of-love vibe. Kitchen has nice oven (air fry) but lacks sheet pans/oven mitts (host noted prior theft); dull knives, limited silverware (table seats 4), one ice tray. Bedrooms cozy but linens/pillows well-used with faint prior-guest odor. Bathrooms include hair dryer/flat iron (aged/rusty).Minor items for attention: non-working porch lights, sticky floors, some dirty dishware on arrival, loose towel/TP holders, misaligned toilet seat, low/inconsistent shower hot water in largest bath, reversed hot/cold in small bathroom, leaking sink faucet, descaling needed for coffee maker, under-microwave bulbs out, dead bugs on sills, small hot water heater that drains quickly. Ideal for 3-4 adults not cooking much.

Family Christmas stay

This propert was very clean and spacious. Updated bathrooms and kitchen. Plenty of room for 8 people to sleep and gather comfortably. Location is minutes from stores, restaurants and fast food. The owner is very quick to respond to any questions and willing to go above to make your stay enjoyable. Highly recommend it.

Cecilia was the best. She was so kind and friendly. Had a problem with hot water and she called plumber on a Saturday to replace hot water tank. TV in one bedroom was bad, she brought a brand new over within an hour of contacting her. Will not hesitate to stay again. She puts the Super in Super Host

Not what we expected

I had to call the owner the day before because I had not received any information, and he assured me he would send it. Two hours later I had to text him to let him know I had still not received it. He called me at 10pm the night before our arrival to let me know he had just sent it. He also called me at 4pm to let me know that the house wasn't yet ready because they were still cleaning it. The house was hard to find because it has no house number on it and the mailbox is laying on the ground. The mattresses were very uncomfortable for two of the beds. The shower handles were fixed so you couldn't turn them far enough to get hot water, so we ended up showering with lukewarm water. The kitchen was not well appointed and only had a small table with 4 chairs. There was no ice maker nor were there even ice trays. Although we didn't use it, the grill was a small smokey joe and the "playground" was hard to get to because of a broken piece of fence laying in the way. It also didn't look very safe to use. The bedrooms and bathrooms were a good size, but one of the bathrooms didn't have a toilet paper roll holder and the shower floor did not look very clean. We ended up coming home a day earlier than planned. We have stayed in quite a few different VRBOs over the years and this is the first time we have had to leave negative feedback.

Lilly so sorry you felt the way you felt. Actually this particular house is on high demand and most times we run into guest checking out same day as guest checking in. We try to accommodate our guest. Our check in time is 4pm and we send out checkin information within 24hr as the case maybe. I am really surprise at your review because you never called or asked for any thing, and never reported that any of the rooms lacked anything. This is the first time we are getting this kind of review and it is quite unfortunate . Because we take reviews seriously, I will have to talk to the cleaning crew to straighten out loose ends. Thank you.

Desmond messed up my house, His kids threw stuff in one toilet and clogged it and my whole house was left dirty. You are complaining because you were asked to pay for the unclogging of the toilet? Sorry my dear learn how to treat other people's property. Read my reviews from families. Thank you.
