Ideal couples getaway. Charming cottage on prvt 6-acre (circa 1759) petite estate. Superbly landscaped w perennial gardens and interesting plants and trees. Classic tudor interior. Livingroom w large fireplace & smart TV. 2 bedrooms, 1st floor Queen, 2nd floor has 2 twins. There is one bathroom and a kitchen w fridge, cook top, air fryer, toaster, coffee machine, TV, pots & dishes. Sunroom w Peloton bike & yoga mats overlooking beautiful yard. Private patio with gas grill. Large Gunite pool and pickleball court is shared w owner. Relax in the sunshine amongst the gardens and nature. The vibe here is sanctuarial and relaxing. It is a place that you return to after a day of activities for some quiet time and relaxation. Entertainment spaces and playgrounds are off site.
One small to medium sized dog allowed for an extra fee (No cats). Children 12 and up. Hiking & mtn biking trails are nearby & the Housatonic River just 1.5 mile away for canoeing and kayaking, or explore Litchfield County and the Housatonic River Valley sights, dining, crafts, and cultural venues.

A lovely cottage with super helpful hosts. The property is really well maintained with beautiful gardens. The place was very clean and had everything we needed for a one week stay, including a pickleball court with we used a lot! I highly recommend this property.

We had a wonderful stay while visiting family in Connecticut. The home was perfect for our family of four, and we especially loved having access to the pool and pickleball courts. Jeff was a fantastic host: friendly, responsive, and quick to help with anything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay here again!

Thanksgiving getaway

Thanksgiving was absolutely perfect in the cottage. Close enough to Fairfield so my college aged kids could see their friends but felt like we were in the English countryside. Unbelievable charm and comfort/ we adored our stay!

lovely property

The cottage has all one would need for a short relaxing stay, including a light-filled sunroom and back patio overlooking the lush grounds. If you are looking for a quiet, private property that is close to several restaurants, delis, and I-84, you cannot beat this cottage.

Idyllic Cottage

Just perfect place to spend the long Labor Day weekend. Peaceful, quiet, yet close to town. Straight out of cottage magazine, English countryside vibe, beautifully curated with whimsical and comfortable furnishings. A charming gem!

Rented as home away from home while remodeling done on our house. The cottage is cozy but it worked out great for us as we where able to bring out dogs as well. The owners are very nice and the grounds are beautiful Everything yea clean and well cared for. Very Charming. Lots of good hiking in the area.

Beautiful, peaceful country cottage

Just minutes from Newtown, yet completely in the quiet of the beautiful Connecticut countryside…. We totally enjoyed our stay! Geoff greeted us in the driveway and was welcoming and super helpful the whole time :) The cottage is beautifully furnished, cozy, and comfortable….very unique! We can’t say enough good things about our stay. We got in late at night and Geoff met us in the driveway to show us around. The place was immaculate and so gorgeous. Both Geoff and Mieke were consummate hosts and we just had a blast with them! We can’t wait to go back

Artistic and charming

A charming cottage set on beautifully landscaped property. We loved sitting outside on the patio. The interior was warm and comfortable, beautifully decorated, filled with tons of charm. The kitchen was equipped and we cooked several meals. Loved grilling on the patio overlooking the pool.

Charming Cottage

Rarely when traveling are my expectations exceeded but I would rate this property a 10! The cottage is like a storybook and decorated perfectly. From the second we walked in, it was 90 degrees but the central AC was blasting away. The grounds were perfect, the pool was perfect, the cozy kitchen, the cute bathroom and Geoff and Mieke gave us such a warm welcome. We definitely hope to be back often.

Throwback, very nice country cottage with a pool and pickleball court, it was the perfect getaway for our family of four. The grounds are well-maintained and have tons of plants and flowers. The cottage itself has a unique, charming floor plan. We will definitely return!
