I recently noticed the 1-star review you left following your stay with us in early May, and I wanted to reach out because we were honestly very surprised and disappointed by the rating. We made every effort to go above and beyond to accommodate your reservation, including adjusting another guest’s reservation so we could honor your stay. Throughout your visit, we were very responsive and worked hard to make sure your needs were addressed. We also did our best to accommodate your concerns regarding your dog and the fencing around the property. While we were unable to allow additional fencing to be added due to liability reasons, the yard already has a large enclosed fence that is intended to safely contain pets. During your stay, you had also mentioned multiple times how much you enjoyed the home and how cute you thought the space was, which is why the 1-star review came as such a surprise to us. To our knowledge, there were no unresolved issues brought to our attention during your stay, and we were never given the opportunity to address any concerns that may have impacted your experience. Additionally, there was damage to the property during your stay when the door handle was broken. Despite this, we chose not to charge you for the repair because we wanted to be understanding and continue providing a positive guest experience. We truly value feedback and always want to know if there are areas where we can improve. However, receiving a low rating without any explanation makes it difficult for us to understand what went wrong or what we could have done differently. Reviews have a significant impact on small businesses like ours and can greatly affect a property’s visibility and ability to continue welcoming future guests. We would sincerely appreciate it if you could share more about what led to this rating, as we would like the opportunity to better understand your experience.
