We are located in historic downtown New Iberia LA! Beautiful fully restored historic home with all modern amenities! Featuring Fire place, King bed, Firepit! A short walk to the train depot! You will enjoy the toot toot of the train as it passes! We are walking distance to Shadows On The Teche, Main Street and the Bayou Teche! Walk one of the oldest cemetery's in New Iberia, located directly behind us!

Once again, did not disappoint. I’ve been here twice and still have not seen all the stuff in this house. It is very comfortable and relaxing in the evenings. Lots of small things that keep you looking around and finding new stuff. Will stay here anytime. Love this place

The house is a gem. Each room has it's own personality. Antiques abound. I cannot express how delightful this house was. Best Vrbo rental we have had yet.

Hidden Gem

This property turned out to be exactly as described. A period home with old world charm. Decorated in a "Quirky" eclectic style but with all the modern conveniences. Each room had a story to tell.This home was warmly inviting and highly recommended.

One week stay

I came to town for work for a week and decided to stay here instead of a hotel. The house was well stocked, especially the kitchen. An intresting place to stay. Nice and clean and good communicating from the owners. The train line out the back is a little loud, but that would be the case staying anywhere in town. Really enjoyed the stay and would go back.

Excellent Property

We reserved this property for our friends that were going through a difficult time. They informed us that they really enjoyed the solitude and the comfort of the upstairs beds. Based on their experience I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quaint getaway.

Best VRBO I have stayed in!

This house is gorgeous, and so cozy for a trip with my spouse and parents. Everything about the house and decore was charming and inviting. New Iberia is a great central location to explore South Louisiana, and our favorite thing to do after a day of exploring was sit around the fire in the living room. The beds were plush and comfortable, and location in downtown was perfect. We will absolutely stay here again and highly recommend the property.

Lovely Chateau

This was my second time staying here and it is absolutely beautiful! If you love all things art, vintage, and history, you’ll love this home. The home is always spotless. The kitchen is stocked for every need and the towels are stocked for plenty of showers! Although we didn’t use it, the fire pit was ready for use as well!

Wonderful house for a long weekend

This house is beautiful and very clean. The beds were super comfy and the sheets were luxurious. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked in anything was forgotten. It was a cross between Victorian and modern with all the modern updates to make it comfy. I would definitely stay again.

Fun house!

We were in the area for a family member's retirement from the Coast Guard- This was a lovely house to come back to after family events, cool off in the AC, and relax before heading out for the next event. It was a good location (only ten minutes from family and everything we needed in town). We really enjoyed the coffee shop, Pie Bar (within walking distance!) - good coffee and breakfast biscuits. Each room in the house was unique and had so much to look at! We appreciated the provided snacks and how well stocked the kitchen was. Beds were comfortable. The yard was nice to sit in and acclimate to the humidity! Great spot!

Another excellent stay at this property

Stayed at this property for the second time this year. I’m born and raised in the area and had to come down for my parent’s 48th wedding anniversary. I still love everything about this property and it’s really a GEM of a place to rent in that area. The location is great. And Doug is amazing to work with. Thanks again for everything!

I'm sure Justin had a good time because our house was a dirty mess. Apparently a big party was held on Saturday night. Several pieces of furniture were damaged with water rings. The kitchen counters were covered in grease and food drips. Several pieces of new cookware had cooked on grease on the outside them. Two pots were all scratched in the inside even though we have non scratch utensils. The oven was a mess with cooked over food. The outside of the refrigerator was also covered in greasy hand prints. The new gas grill had to be disassembled and cleaned. It was covered in BBQ sauce and meat drippings. When he left the house, The TV was left on as well as all the lights. The central air was set at 60 degrees. We had guest scheduled to check in. We had to turn them away because of all the cleaning required. We had additional charges for cleaning which took 2 days. I only wish I could post the pictures for all to see. We would never rent to Justin again. After a year of renters, he was the worst. He booked one guest and every bed was used as well.

Quirky, colorful, and cozy with luxury touches

This was my second stay here and it was even better than I remembered. Our group loved discovering all the unique decorative details. The kitchen and laundry facilities remain the best I have ever found at a vacation rental - we had everything we needed to cook homemade meals. Doug quickly responded to any questions or needs. If you're traveling to New Iberia with your family or a group of friends I highly recommended this rental.
