Came to Baton Rouge for the Nationals Bowling Tournament. Perfect spot to stay! Close to everything! Host were absolutely wonderful! The place was clean and comfortable.
It was really close to downtown and walking distance to restaurants. There was construction going on downstairs which was unexpected. Overall the stay was good.
Great location! Conveniently located to everything
This is prime location! Within walking distance to the River Center Performing arts theater. Every place we wanted to go was pretty much on the same street, or within 10 mins. The apartment was clean, with super soft beds. Great experience. Would book again.
If you're bowling at the Raising Canes Arena for the USBC Tournament. You're only 3 blocks away. The building is all VRBO rentals. And very clean. Plenty of parking and easy access to the rest of the city.
The host did not send check in instructions. I texted all day asking for help, only to receive no response. I called multiple times - kept getting declined. Only to arrive at the residence to find someone else was already staying there after the full 300 payment had been sent two weeks prior. The person there could also not get a hold of the host. Absolutely 0 communication, 0 help, and have yet to receive even an apology. We were scammed out of a place to stay for no reason and left stranded in a city we didn’t know for a weekend. Do not book here.

Liked: Check-in, communication
Disliked: Cleanliness
Spacious, decent location, but old and not very clean
Our family stayed for a long weekend.
The Good: The location was close to an event we were attending, which was convenient. The place was spacious. Paul was very responsive and the check in process was easy
The Not So Good: The building is pretty old and rundown and the condo was not very clean. It wasn't "dirty", but it was very very dusty. All of the fans were covered in dust, the cabinet under the TV was covered in dust and under the bed was covered in dust. We even found two old socks behind the bed.
The comforter, sheets and mattress pad all had stains. We ran to Walmart and bought all new bedding and used that for our stay instead of what was on the bed.
The A/C also doesn't work very well and the condo has a musty smell.
We made it work, but it's doubtful we will return.

I saw this review and had to do a double take. Then I double checked messages sent to the guest before arrival. We ask guests to check the place and please let us know if we missed something or something needed addressing. Like I thought this guest didn't communicate any problems with the unit after arrival. I personally inspected the place before arrival and there was nothing the place needed. It was clean. We have multiple reservation monthly and the place is cleaned from top to bottom each time. It's not possible for dust to accumulate since the place is cleaned so often. We also have a unit where we store lots of extra sheets, towels, comforters among everything else. If something gets on a sheet or comforter we can change it out in minutes. In fact, we're so confident in our cleaning we use WHITE comforters. For the guest not to mention anything at all or communicate a problem seems odd, especially saying they took a trip to purchase sheets instead of contacting the owner and having new ones changed. Very odd. As far as the building, some people associated older as being dirty. Other people prefer antiques over modern, or a classic car over a new one. Most of our guests appreciate the classic look and patina of our mid century building. Beauregard Town is the second oldest neighborhood in Baton Rouge so it definitely provides history and character. I'm glad they mentioned the great location as there is no better for the money. Great value.
