ARRIVAL
When you arrive from the alley, you’ll park in a private two-car carport with a covered walkway — so you never have to unload or walk through snow or rain.
GROUND FLOOR You'll enter the home via a brick patio. A good place to sit when you just need some shade.
Enter into a spacious entryway with a washer and dryer conveniently located in an adjacent closet.
Just beyond the entry are two king suites, each with a full bathroom and heated floors for added comfort during colder months. There is also a 55" TV in each bedroom.
UPSTAIRS Upstairs you’ll find an open-concept living, kitchen, and dining area filled with natural light. Windows on three sides create a bright, airy space that feels connected to the outdoors.
Just off the living area is a large 16x24 ft deck and grill — perfect for relaxing, entertaining, or enjoying the fresh mountain air.
In summer, mature aspen trees provide shade and privacy. In winter, the gas stove/fireplace keeps the space warm and cozy.
Whether you're skiing in winter, biking in summer, or visiting during the quieter off-seasons, Aspen Grove is a wonderful place to unwind. Downtown shops, restaurants, Old Town Hot Springs public pool are just minutes away. Also running the length of the town is the Yampa River with a paved bike and pedestrian trail. Strawberry Park Natural Hot Springs and access to Buffalo Pass is about a 15-minute drive.

Host was great and very accommodating and friendly. He really cares about his property & his guests. The beer tap is a very nice addition. The property had everything you need.
Nested in a quiet neighborhood with a walking path that doubles as an off leash dog park. Large deck that felt like you were in a tree house. Plenty of kitchen cookware. Less than a half mile walk to beautiful Steamboat’s downtown.
This was a fantastic place to stay in Steamboat. You can easily walk to downtown. The house was very, very clean and was beautiful. We enjoyed the deck, fully stocked kitchen, and two master bedrooms downstairs. We will definitely stay here again!

Aspen grove and its other half, Spruce Nest, are the only places we ever stay in Steamboat now that we’ve discovered them. Our dog loves to hang out on the back deck all day. Walking to town and the dog park/trails cannot be beat. Kitchen is so well-stocked and the entire home has such lovely thoughtful touches. We feel like we’re at home every time we stay here.

Great stay in SBT. The house has everything needed and was very comfortable. Perfect for a small group. Covered off-street parking is a big plus. The recent renovations make the house feel brand new.
The aspen grove house is very well situated, you can walk or bike to town easily. It is a very quiet and serene neighborhood. There are a few local trails that are great for dog walks. The patio is so nice to relax on and the house is newly renovated and has everything you need. Tom keeps the house well stocked with whatever you need, even including a gate for the patio staircase for children/dogs. We really enjoyed our stay.

Tom's Aspen Grove unit is everything you could want in a vacation rental. The upstairs kitchen, living room, and dining area are a comfortable communal hangout place. The patio leading off of the family room is awesome! We spent so much time hanging out outside. Everything is new and updated and you can't beat the location. It's an 10min walk into town.

Well-appointed and comfortable home in a great location
My group (2 couples) very much enjoyed our stay at Aspen Grove! We were impressed by the thoughtfulness of the amenities, how comfortable the home is, and the location. We enjoy cooking and the kitchen had absolutely everything we needed for our long weekend stay. Beer and kombucha on tap was a fun treat! The bedrooms were comfortable and heated floors in the bathrooms were so nice. It was great to be able to walk our dogs to the off leash dog area and to downtown for the hot springs and shopping. We will be back and perhaps bring more family with the attached other rental unit. The insulation between the units was effective- we didn’t hear anything from the other guests, even though they had kiddos. Thanks for a great and memorable stay!

I moved to Steamboat Springs in 1979 because of the beauty of the surrounding area, outdoor activities and good economic potential. So far, I have not been dissatisfied. My wife and I love riding ATVs in the summer, hiking and rafting down the Yampa. We would like to share The Spruce Nest with you, special places to see, feel and experience. Like the Strawberry Hot Springs.
Why they chose this property
My wife and I purchased this property in 1991 as a long term rental. In 2019 we remodeled the front portion, the Spruce Nest, as a short-term rental. In 2022, we decided to remodel the back portion of the duplex as the Aspen Grove. We left the walls of the two-story building intact, and completely gutted the entire interior. We put the sleeping quarters on the ground floor, complete with two full baths. Upstairs, we combined the living, dining and kitchen into one large room and added multiple windows. There is also a large deck off of the living area. It's got a great location - 10 minute walk from downtown and on a dead-end street near the edge of town. What more could be better? Come and see for yourself! In the spring/summer 2022, we began remodeling the back portion of the duplex for a vacation rental. It has two master bedrooms/baths on the ground floor, with the living room, kitchen and powder bath on the second floor. A deck off of the second floor complements the living space on the second floor. A carport with a covered walkway will provide protection from rain/snow from the parking area to the unit for all seasons. It should be available in the spring of 2023. Have a large party, friends or family you would like to share your vacation with? We also offer the Spruce Nest as an separate adjoining rental. It has two bedrooms with king beds, 2.5 baths, and was remodeled in 2019. It also has a adjoining door between the two units for easy accessibility.
