Built in 1887, this former convent has been beautifully renovated to create a unique getaway featuring exposed brick, beautiful hardwood floors, 11-ft ceilings on the first floor, and an abundance of natural light. This house is huge, with 5,400 square feet of living space for your group to enjoy! All bedrooms have queen beds, sitting areas, light-blocking curtains or blinds, and double-paned windows to maintain a quiet and peaceful environment for you. You'll get a great night's sleep!
The space Each of the three floors has its own new, efficient, and independent heating/cooling system, and the temperature in every bedroom can be adjusted to the preferences of individual guests.
With two large dining rooms and a fully-equipped kitchen, including commercial-grade and artisan coffee supplies, the Convent is perfect for your group.
No parties, please!
Guest access You'll be able to access the entire house except for a one bed, one bath apartment hidden away on the main floor, which has its own separate entrance and will be vacant during your stay unless you'd like access to it (available for an additional charge of $50 per night).
Other things to note We share an unfenced backyard and courtyard with the owners of a former Catholic rectory and with some urban farmers who tend parts of the yard. They’re all dear friends and if you're interested you can get breakfast made with fresh eggs and vegetables from the urban farm at For the Life of the World Café a block away! You’re nestled in the heart of a close-knit community of 100+ people, so it's not unusual to see a few people using the yard.

The Convent was absolutely perfect for our group of 12 ladies. The bedrooms were cozy, the kitchen was well equipped, it was clean, and our host Greg was very kind and accommodating. Already planning our next girls’ trip here
Property was perfect for our all adult family weekend. The large dining and living space gave us plenty of room to spread out and catch up. The kitchen has absolutely everything we needed. Communication was great throughout and check in was simple.
The place was awesome. We came in for a wedding and we had so much fun at the convent. There was so many rooms we slept comfortably. The two dinning tables was great. The kitchen had everything we needed. Thank you for a wonderful experience
Everyone age 1 through 70 enjoyed staying at The Convent. The spacious and well-equipped home, combined with the responsive and hospitable host, created an unforgettable experience.
We stayed for a week at the Convent with our multi family group. It was thoughtfully stocked with a very attentive host for any need we had. The layout is perfect for a large group with plenty of seating, area for cooking, and hosting. Would highly recommend. 10/10
Guys weekend watching Xavier basketball and staying at the Convent was great! Great house, huge, tons of beds and very very clean. All was perfect. Greg the host was great to work with, quick replies and even left a welcoming gift.
We had 13 out of town guests ages 5-75 who shared lodging at The Convent. It was immaculate, spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped with 2 ovens and 2 refrigerators. We used them all as well as ample counter space for meal prep. Our family loved the location close to the zoo and Reds stadium. Host Greg was exceptional, easy to contact before, during and after our stay. I give The Convent my highest recommendation!
We had a large group of family in town for a wedding. The Convent was perfect! Plenty of bedrooms and space for gathering! We especially enjoyed the patio in the mornings! Location was close to many things and the house was equipped with everything we needed. Host was quick to respond to our every need!
My large family and friend group stayed at The Convent for a wedding. It was the perfect home base for all our wedding preparations! We had lots of room for floral arranging, group meals, relaxing and catching up. The bedrooms were very spacious, and the young adults enjoyed their loft area on the third floor. Greg, the owner, was very accommodating about checkin/out times and was great with communication. The neighborhood was quiet, and we enjoyed watching the adorable preschoolers next door while they tended to their chickens out back! Easy highway access was a big plus. Definitely an older building with work still in progress, but we could tell it was being lovingly restored and was so beautiful and full of light. Great stay, and would definitely stay again!
12 of us stayed at the Covenant for our daughter’s wedding in Cincinnati. This was a great space with lots of room for cooking, eating , socializing and sleeping. There was plenty of dishes and linens and each room had its own heating/cooling and fans. The rooms were surprisingly quiet! It was great to have everyone under one roof and watching the hawks and their fledglings in the back yard was a bonus! The host was great, we would definitely recommend and stay at this property again!
This property surpassed our expectations. The kitchen is well equipped. The owner was very responsive and wanted to make sure our needs were mer. We loved the neighborhood and enjoyed eating at the Life of the World Cafe.
What a wonderful unique place to stay while enjoying friends and family in Cinncy. Beautiful and spacious historical home with all the modern comforts. The host was generous and responsive. We couldn't have been happier with the entire experience. Thank you!!!
This place is amazing. An expertly equipped kitchen with sharp knives, great pans, plenty of glasses and silverware for our group of 11. Lots of cozy sitting areas and separate sleeping spaces in the 3-level house, located in a real homey neighborhood close to shopping, restaurants and green spaces. Comfy beds, beautiful floors and a rich sense of history! Owner was very responsive to our questions.
The Convent is unique and so well-suited to a group or family gathering! The inside with it's brick, pine floors and original woodwork is stunning. The decor is simple and elegant and the bedrooms/beds very comfortable and roomy! And Greg (the host) was very responsive and helpful! I can't say enough about how well he communicated and addressed a couple minor issues we had - he was the perfect host!
It was awesome! Greg was super fast to respond to any inquiries and was very accommodating. The space was very nice. The ceilings were super high and the halls were wide and each room was spacious. Would recommend!
Eleven of us came to Cincinnati to celebrate our dad/granddad’s 100th birthday. The house was exactly what we needed. Lots of spacious bedrooms and a kitchen equipped with everything we needed to prepare a Thanksgiving feast and room in the dining areas for all 13 of us. And Greg was very responsive to any questions we had. Thanks for helping us with this special visit.
We used every room in the beautifully restored Convent for 3 nights and loved every minute! The rooms were all large and each one had its own a.c./heating unit on its own thermostat which was very convenient. The 2nd floor had 3 shared bathrooms for the 5 rooms on that level, so it was never a problem with waiting. We would definitely come back here again!
The Convent was a perfect spot for our family of 13 as we gathered for our stay in Cincinnati. Ideal central location as we ventured out to Cincinnati Invitational, Kings Island, and many restaurants in between. A trip to the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center was well worth it and also gave a good feel for downtown Cincinnati. The Convent's spacious rooms and well equipped kitchen were appreciated.Lots of space to gather for meals/games but we also looked forward to our own private space to relax. Our host, Greg, responded to every question immediately, resolved our small issues, and we were thankful for that. So there you have it folks, a 5 star rating!
This is a very cool unique property with plenty of room for our family of 11 adults and 2 toddlers. We had enough dishes and cooking supplies for the whole family, and seating for the whole family to eat and play games together. Every couple had their own bathroom, and so quiet. Greg is a great host and very helpful. There are so many attractions within 15 minutes of the property making this a great location and not having to be in the middle of thehussle and bussle of downtown. If we go back to the area to visit again, we will try to stay here again. It was perfect for our family.
