This is a 5 star property if they address the following:1. The bed frame in the upstairs room squeaks very loud with every movement. It is impossible to get a good night's sleep when every move wakes you up.2. The hot tub had an excessive amount of chlorine. The smell was very strong and it burned our eyes and noses when the bubbles came on. Needless to say, we were not able to use it much.3. The air hockey table does not work properly. Whether from excess use or abuse by prior guests, the puck does not flow over the table. The house is terrific overall. But these three things were a big negative factor. The kids were excited to use the air hockey table and go in the hot tub, but were disappointed with what they experienced.
Needed some fresh air and an escape from every day life in the city. Perfect place to do it. Super comfy beds, beautiful clean bathrooms, property was beautiful!!!!

Thank you for the kind review Holly I'm so glad despite the weather you had a great stay! Rain or shine, its such a peaceful place to be.
We had a family Christmas getaway and we enjoyed every minnute! The hot tub was a hit with the kids and we liked the fact each room had a full bath. The outside fire pit was fun to make smores with the kids!
Trip to relax more than anything, great food from the local butcher, boat rental on a much cleaner, cooler lake than East Texas has to offer. Local dining for breakfast made of little clean up! I recommend this rental 10/10! Super easy transaction and communication!

Amazing Cabin in the Woods
We recently stayed at Happily Ava-After. The cabin was beautiful and comfortable!! There were nice views from all the large windows. The kitchen has everything you would need to make meals. The cabin is also equipped with lots of fun activities for the kids. Nikki was responsive to us throughout the process. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can't wait to go back!
My family was looking forward to a long weekend of relaxation and fun mixed in. It was very important to stay in a relaxing and beautiful place. It did not disappoint! Would recommend it to all of my friends! Our host was very accommodating and was very professional and kind to do business with.

Summer Kick-Off
We had a blast. Our three kids loved the bunk room/game room inside. But we were outside most of the time! Swing set and rope swings were a hit. Lots of corn hole games played. Patio and hot tub were fantastic. House was comfortable and very accommodating. We would stay here again for sure!!

Tyler, I am so glad you and your family enjoyed your stay and I hope you got to make some wonderful memories! We would love to have you back in the future!
We had a wonderful (long overdue getaway) 2 night stay with some of our dearest friends and all of our kids! The kids range in age from 9 to 2 and there was something for all of them to do at all times! The basket of kid books was the perfect touch to the cabin, we read every night before bed and forgot our stack of books at home! The master suits for the adults were beautiful and a great retreat from kids when needed. We were able to relax outside by the fire while the kids played on the swing set or went on adventures in the woods. Communication with the owner was super easy and she was so responsive with anything needed! We would definitely stay at this property again!
Loved everything! Loved that each couple had a king bed and full bath to themself. Loved the location, it was just north of town so we felt like we were out just enough, yet close enough to run to dinner. Great communication with host, so so so nice!!!! Bathrooms were fantastic!!!! My 2.5 toddler had a blast but I didn’t have to worry about him breaking anything or destroying anything or running around playing, super kid friendly, dog friendly, just all the things! Loved every minute!
My husband and I rented the cabin for my son his fiancé her 2 children, my daughter and the 2 grands. Everyone thrilled with the bedrooms and sleeping arrangements. The kiddos were over the moon with the bunk beds. They loved the pool table and air hockey. We put the gas grill to work for supper. The fire pit became the #1 favorite we roasted marshmallows of course and we had to introduce the kids to S’mores. And the adult kids made use of the hot tub while Granny was doing the s’mores with the kids and swinging The kids were up early and ready to take their turn in the hot we made use of the gas grill again and opah taught the family how to cook breakfast in a paper lunch sack. And sure enough bacon eggs and potatoes all cooked and made a wonderful breakfast. After that we started to settle into a good spot for watching the Eclipse even though the clouds were thick and grey. We took the corn hole game out and taught the kids to play and Opah started his version which included adding an obstacle course in between games to see who got to go first. There were lots of laughs. The clouds all cleared just in time to start seeing the eclipse.Had some quick hamburgers and hotdogs then The kids all loaded up and headed out for home.Granny and Opah settled into the sofa on the porch and the hot tub wit the fireplace and we watched a movie We had a nice thunderstorm move in while Opah played his guitar for granny. We all loved the cabin to the moon & back. Fun was had by all. Thank you
